It has been operating during COVID and continues to operate as of today, 1/6/21. My Government backed insurance came and this year my access to certain pharmacies has changed. I walked out of my pharmacy of 20 years after they rudely ignored my questions and pretended I was the problem. I called my Insurance and was given another pharmacy that was within driving distance. This happened to be Family Medical Pharmacy. I stopped in around 1 pm on a week day and was instantly greeted by not 1, but EVERY employee in the establishment! I explained my situation to them and within minutes they were taking down my information, on the phone with my doctor, and providing me a comfortable (and cozy) place to wait. The entire experience was what I had grown up with in small-town WNY. It was friendly, caring, fun, welcoming, safe, and I left feeling like I mattered. About 2 days later I woke up to a missed call and a voice mail. It was from the owner of Family Medical Pharmacy, welcoming me as a new customer and asking if there was anything he could do personally to make my experiences even better! WOW! I can't say enough good about this entire experience. It feels like I just found a new home! Thank you!

You can even get medications that have to be compounded. With that being said, they require a 48 hours notice for a refill on compounded meds. We have to refill Omeprazole for our Pomeranian mix every 30 or so days, but it's hard to tell exactly when to order 48 hours in advance because it's a liquid and it's hard to tell when it will run out. It's also tecommeded to discard after 30 days.

Today the lady at the counter was so extraordinarily rude that I left [something that I never do]. I asked if they offered money orders, and she snarled at me and told me to wait until she was done with the other customer. However, there was no other customer in line... The other time I went, a girl and a guy stood there talking for about five minutes before I was even acknowledged. I was polite both times, and I understand that people have bad days, but.. yikes.
