Horrible customer service. I'm changing my pharmacy immediately. After my 4th visit, they informed me that they have been charging me sales price for my prescriptions, instead of verifying my insurance (I've had insurance this entire time). I've had multiple negative interactions with one particular gentleman. My first visit I walked in, the pharmacist behind the counter did not acknowledge me - turns out he was leaving his shift but didn't have the courtesy to address any more customers. Recently, I went through the drive through and was told to return in 15 mins (I was on break from work so couldn't). I came back an hour later, and a the same pharmacist from my first visit had just gotten on shift, said "I just got here, give me an hour," even though the previous pharmacist on shift would have already filled the script and had it ready. I explained this to him, and he repeated himself. I went back to pick up, and pharmacist charged my card and gave me 2 prescriptions (one that I'm not even taking anymore!). He didn't verify which prescriptions I was picking up, and the employee put my credit card and ID in the paper bag without informing me. $20 and 3 weeks later I have replacements, but they should inform folks EVERYTIME they are putting their important cards into a paper bag. I called twice to ask if they had my ID, and they told me to look for it more and call them back (instead of checking to see if they had it behind the counter). I went back today to pick up, the employee asked me for my information 2x to tell me I wasn't in their system (even though I have been going there consistently for 2 months). They stated they didn't have my insurance on file and needed to take down my information (all over again). I didn't receive kind and compassionate service like I am used to receiving. Pharmacist at this particular pharmacy refused to administer healthy vaccine to customer with dr recommendation, based on her distorted beliefs about the vaccine. She cancelled his appointment. Not her call. She needs to be terminated immediately, If not, Customers may want to immediately support any other store in the area. Appalling. read more

Love the local Rite Aid. The staff is friend, professional, and helpful. I can always find what I need and get in and out quickly.

This month, I wanted to call ahead to make sure I wouldn't have this same issue. Pretty reasonable right? My script is supposed to be ready tomorrow. I called yesterday during business hours, not during their lunch, no one answered. I called and called close to 8 times. No one answered. Today I went to call again. I called them from 10:30am-11:30am. I kept hitting 3 to be transferred to the pharmacist. No one answered. I tried calling again - sat on their automated voice system for 48 minutes. No answer. My last attempt I hit #3, 13 times, no answer. I finally called the front desk at Rite Aid. The lady politely answered, I told her my situation, she said she would walk back there and let them know to pick up my line. Finally, the pharmacist answered. I told him my previous ML this experience and wanted to confirm I could get my scripts tomorrow and make sure they would be there. He said they would be, BUT I was "out of refills" and I need to get in touch with my doctor and tell them to get back to their "e-verification" request and to send the pharmacy my refills. I reluctantly hang up the phone, called my doctor's office told them what the pharmacist said. My doctor's office. Said they sent over my prescription refills already, and they're showing I have refills on file. My doctor's office then said they were having issues with this Rite Aid they would call them today to make sure they had my prescriptions on file and my refills so I could pick up my script tomorrow. I initially thought that would work. I called Rite Aid on Vista back to let them know were refills on file and they had resent them and to make sure they were looking out for their call. However, yet again. I sat on their automatic voice system for close to one hour with no one, picking up the phone at the pharmacy. They go to lunch at 1:30 PM, so I again call the front desk at 1:20 PM moments ago and told the woman my situation again. She said they had a line of customers and then would be taking their lunch at but she would leave to have them call me after their lunch. The woman running the front desk/register at Rite Aid is the only person I could get to answer the phone this entire day. No one answered yesterday when I know an answer today. So what happens when my doctors's office calls to let them know, they resent and should have refills on file? You guessed it, no one answered. Even if you in as a doctor, they still aren't answering tHe phone. I have worked in during my understand when things are hectic, and you can't make everybody happy and you're doing your best. I am sure the people at this pharmacy are working hard and there are likely things going on during the day that we as customers know nothing about. However, not answering the phone not picking up when you're customers are calling, when the doctors offices are calling, for hours on end is not acceptable. It's just not. And to have this be on going, to be hours and days on end, is mind blowing. This Rite Aid has been so amazing for so many years. As of late, it's not a pharmacy I would recommend to anyone. It should not be this hard to fill your prescriptions. To answer the phone, to do your job. It is super disappointing. read more

The people who work in this store are phenomenal. Always ready to help and they handle matters well.

Absolutely horrible pharmacy experience. I was visiting from out of town and went to an urgent care for extreme back pain. The Dr wrote me 3 prescriptions and said she would call them in and they should be ready within an hour. I showed up at this rite aid 2 hours later and they hadn't even started or looked at them! I have never ever been to a pharmacy where they would get a prescription in and not start working on it. He then proceeded to tell me that I would have to wait an additional 45 mins for them to be filled because there was another person ahead of me that just walked up with a prescription. Okay, I'll come back. I come back two hours later again and handed him my insurance card. He says he will have to run it but once again there are people ahead of me. What!? Every other pharmacy I have ever been to would walk it to the computer, run it, and bring it back. It takes no time at all. So I sit there for 30 mins in the office and finally I have to leave for my dinner reservations and he says, "oh well can you wait a little longer because he is having trouble and may need more information." Really? You couldn't ask me that info when I was sitting 2 feet away for 30 mins? So I leave and get a call at dinner saying it's ready and I need to hurry and come get it because they close in 20 mins! Wow. I couldn't make it there in 20 mins so I had to wait until Monday morning to pick up my pills while in extreme pain. I will never ever recommend this place to anyone. There is an albertsons down the street, take your prescriptions there. My prescription was called in at 9-10 am and it took until 9am the next morning to get them. And there were three other people there the last time I tried to pick up that had nothing but bad things to say when I asked if this was normal for that location .
