I want people to be aware that this location (Bonney Lake, WA) will give you medications that are close to expiring and then when you ask them to give medication that is not expiring they will charge you full price. Also their pricing is very flexible (not in a good way). I would be very leery of shopping here. I immediately transferred all of my prescriptions to another local pharmacy and will not shop here for incidentals anymore. If I had been able to give them zero stars I would have. read more

I just moved here from Tacoma, where I used a different big name pharmacy company. This is the only pharmacy with a drive thru that is open 7 days a week and is within a mile of my new house. So, even after reading the previous reviews I have this rite aid a shot. I have used rite aid years ago, so thought my experience would be similar. Absolutely wrong. I had this pharmacy request all my prescriptions over from my old one as normal. One of my prescriptions I guess did not have a refill but was not forwarded (that's what they said) to them. It was a process to get my medication. They told me I needed to call my doctors office to get them to send the prescription. I questioned her, because this did not sound correct. I asked if she should be the one calling and she without a beat pointed and said "no, you". I called my doctors office and had them forward but let me know that this isn't normal protocol and the pharmacy should be the one calling. I went to pick up my medication today, one of which (the same one as before) had no refills on. No problem, I picked up everything else I had ready but before I left asked her about it. She tried to tell me I was picking up the medication, I told her no I requested a refill for it have you heard back? She has no clue what I was talking about. She also tried to get me to get a pneumonia shot, I'm 26. I will be switching to a different pharmacy. Very disappointed in the staff here. read more

For a company as large as Rite Aid and especially during a pandemic, you'd think they would be hiring experienced pharmacy techs. Irene instructed me to drive around the parking lot or come wait in the store while I was waiting for my medication. I thought we were supposed to be trying to reduce the chance of contamination? 2 trips to the pharmacy to be told that the system was down and that's why they were so behind... after I called the pharmacy manager who was equally rude and no help. Her best excuse was that the employee was new. If she heard the conversation at the window then why, as a manager did she not step in to correct it? I dropped off six prescriptions and was told it was going to be an hour. That was at 6:30 pm. I called at 8:00 and was told they still had two more to do and it would be another twenty minutes. That's nearly two hours for six prescriptions. An hour is acceptable for six prescriptions. Not almost two hours. Take your prescriptions to Safeway, Fred Meyer, Costco, Wal-Mart or Target. All are very close. Get out of town Rite-Aid. You're wasting good real estate. read more

I went in to this store earlier today to do an even exchange on some Maybelline face powder. By accident, I bought the light shade versus the medium which is what I like. When I went up to the register to check out, after the employee put it into the system, he said that my balance due was $3.79. I told him, just in-case he had not noticed, that I was exchanging it for the exact same thing, including the brand, just one shade darker. He said without a receipt, the computer will give you the lowest possible price, and at one time this must have been on sale. Okay, I get that, if I wanted a refund, or even a different brand but an identical exchange of the same product, I thought was a little extreme. The employee went on to say, " I'm sorry, but that is a corporate policy " He was pleasant about it, just matter of fact. Needless to spay more say, I did not pay more for the same thing, based on principle alone. Perhaps, this is one of the reasons why Rite Aid's are getting fewer and fewer, and there is literally a Walgreen's on every street corner. read more

i Have tried twice to pick up a prescription In two days. Now need to go back a third time for to pick up the prescription. First time I walked in and the line was 15 people deep. The second time 10 people. The drive in is no longer open. Sign says due to staffing Shortage. The next day the drive up was 6 cars deep And ran in to the store to find the line was 10 deep The drive up keeps changing process. One time closed. Another time the 2nd drive up was for drop off scripts. Then another time was inline at drive up & someone drove up to second window & was helped ahead of others that had been waiting. ive experienced being called to pick up ready scripts only to find out it wasn't ready. ive been using this pharmacy for 5 years & the customer service continues to get more worse. read more

Had complications after a procedure, Dr called in a prescription on Friday evening called the next morning they said it would be ready by 1:30pm went to pickup at 5:00pm still wasn't ready, they texted to say it was ready it was after 6:30 pm, drove there and the pharmacy was closed. Very upset, now I have missed 3 doses, over 24 hours to get 1 prescription filled that was vital for heart problems. This is not OK! If you need prescriptions filled before 24 hours this is not the place to go!!! read more

We have used Bonney Lake Rite Aid for years and have always been pleased. We switched from a grocery store chain because Rite Aid was much faster. They are not as quick as they used to be. My doctor sent in my prescription at 10:32 this morning (I called my doctor and confirmed). I wanted until 2 pm to pick up the prescription at Rite Aid. It was not ready and the employee told me, "We just received it." I questioned her response and said I was seen this morning and my doctor said it was being sent right over. She confirmed they had just received it. I really like Rite Aid but don't lie to me. Just say, "I'm sorry we do not have it ready yet." My husband has had the same problem. Be sure to call before you drive to the store. It would have saved me a trip. read more

Whatever you are doing, do it fast! I was taking around 20 minutes to find the items I was looking for and experienced 3 " Security, scan the aisles " pages, twice people came up to me from across the store, like directly walking, standing in front of me, " Do you need help finding anything? " Then after I let them know I was fine, they kept standing an aisle down pretending to arrange items while peeking over at me. Is there theft that bad or is it just the way I look? I guess a black guy in Bonney Lake is still treated as strange unless he is wearing a uniform. read more

Even if their rules, insurance rules or federal rules state certain things, the employees have no ability to articulate that in a friendly or even helpful manner. This pharmacy. Oh my God. The only good thing about them it they have a drive through. My doc put in a prescription today at 2:20pm. The spacey blonde lady with an accent "helped" me in the drive through. Apparently Sound Family Medicine has a new prescription system and it's been a little bit of a pain for them. The doctor gave me a print out of my prescription for antibiotics IN CASE an issue arose. Oh it did. It did. I pulled up to the drive through window and gave the woman my birthdate. She said there was a canceled prescription with my name and birthday. I asked her if she could look it up by prescription NUMBER instead and pointed to it on the paper and she said "what's that." Not a good sign for a pharmacy tech. She kept saying "sorry I can't" and "there's nothing under your birthday" when I asked what I could do about the situation. By that time a line had formed behind me so I chose to just go without resolving the problem. Called my doctor right after and they explained due issue and also said "she could have told you to come in with your paperwork or at least looked at the prescription number." Yeah I know. Great customer service. This is the last time me or my husband will use Rite Aid pharmacy. Go to Costco, they know how to treat their customers and actually offer to resolve issues instead of giving a vacant, bovine stare into nothing. read more

I just moved here 8 weeks ago and used Rite Aid back home. Loved them back home, but here is awful. I can call my meds in 2-3 hours ahead of time and they still won't be ready and then when I come to pick them up as promised on the phone they tell me to wait another 20 minutes. Then the techs are rude when you question why when you called hours in advanced. I am going to find a new pharmacy. I have been with Rite Aid 3 years, but they just lost my business in the pharmacy and probably the whole store. read more

I loved this Rite Aid. But once my wife went to pick up a prescription and it was about 10 minutes till close. They did not fill the prescription even though she waited. When asked why, they said they did not see her. She checked in with them when she arrived. I needed a flu shot. I called the place I usually get my yearly shot and asked if they would give the shot outside. I don't feel safe going into any business because Covid-19 is still thriving in our country. The pharmacy I originally called said that they would not be able to give me the shot unless I came into their store. I called Rite Aid and asked if it was possible to get the shot outside instead of having to come in to the store. The person I spoke to was so helpful. He told me to drive up to their window and I would be given a form to fill out related to my immunization history. I would also be asked a few other health related questions. There were two people who helped me get my "parking lot" shot. They were efficient and very nice about the whole thing. They prepared the injection, came out to my car and gave me the shot. Before Covid-19 I used to shop inside the Bonney Lake Rite Aid store. It is a pleasant place to shop. They seemed to always have what I needed. I am really thankful to the people who helped me get my flu shot safely. read more

I've used this pharmacy for years never had a problem until recently. I have a medication that I need on a daily basis they wouldn't give me a emergency dose like the old employees would. Took my doctor to send in a prescription TWICE that they insisted was a denial letter for refill they have no idea what they are doing! My doctor ended up having to call in to riteaid to speak with 2 different people to get it filled! Left me without medication for a week!! Customer service sucks. They treat you as if your wasting there time and they don't care. After 7 years of using this pharmacy I will NOT be coming back. read more

I was looking for a new pharmacy because my company changed to CVS. CVS advised to go to Rite Aid because they are now partnered with them. BIG mistake! First time in the doctor called in 3 prescriptions for my husband and they only had two and said they could not find the 3rd. Second time in I was trying to fill my granddaughters prescription which she has to take every day, they only let me fill it for her every 30 days so when we have a month with 31 days she goes without as in December. I arrived at 7 PM they are open until 10 PM. I waited 10 minutes until one tech was carrying on a lengthy conversation which sounded to be personal not business. When she finally hung up and asked if I was dropping off I said yes and would wait. She told me that she could not fill it today because they had too many before me. Puzzled because there was no one else in the store except for the employees I asked her "You mean there are too many customers in the store waiting for prescriptions?" She said "yes". I just stared at her, she then said "Do you need it today?" I said "Yes, my granddaughter has already missed one day of medication" She then told me to go to Safeway because they would not fill it tonight because they were to busy. UNBELIEVABLE!
