My fiancee is stationed at JBLM and needs to continue his PT. He called this place after finding this place through his insurance he gave them a call and interrogated them, which is his standard procedure. His first impression? The receptionist picked up and sounded confident, a plus in his books. Well the result of that call is that he became a patient! He has been here about 6 times. He comes in, signs in and doesn't even get a chance to sit down as they already call him in! The only person who is ever in the waiting room for more than 2 minutes is me! I've seen multiple different patients come in and they are all treated the same. The ladies are kind and courtesy and have a bond with each patient. They are even kind to me, offering me coffee on some days. And they spend about 1.5 hours with my fiancee, who is recovering from a rotator cuff surgery. They give him a heated massage in the beginning and towards the end make him do exercises in their exercise room, which has a couple of flat beds, weights, a lat pull down machine, stair stepper, treadmill and other equipment. They take therapy seriously! Parking is a breeze, restrooms don't need keys, scheduling is simple. I and he have no conplaints about this place. They even have a fresh newspaper and ample magazines! I truly hope more people come to this office. Be on the lookout for his review!

I have spent a lot of time with, and gotten to know, all of the three PTs and the support staff. Every one of them actually care about my success and treat me like was the most important patient they have. Truth be told, I'm just another burned out 76 year old has been athlete who used up his body in his youth. He is extremely intelligent, you can tell that when he took on this education that he did it to help people from the depth of his heart. I have had surgeries from other doctors who were not able to get my shoulders secure. The surgeries done by other Dr's would still fall out of joint very easily. Dr. Arroyo was very thorough with explaining the different kind of surgeries that he was going to do on each shoulder. One was done 4 years ago and hasn't fallen out of socket I feel very secure with it. The other one he completed one year ago and I only had 75% of that bone left but he was able to take a tendon from another part of my shoulder and secure that portion of the bone that was missing from that tendon. I never thought that I could use my arms again without considering the possibilities of them falling out of socket. I am sincerely grateful for a doctor that is so caring of his patients. With this particular surgery he did only two doctors in Washington state are able to perform them. When I was in between surgeries my insurance had changed and the doctor's office didn't accept the insurance that I had. I sent Dr. Arroyo a message directly to see if there was anything that he could do because he was the on of the only doctor's that could perform this surgery. He told me since I was a previous patient that he would be able to work with the insurance company and the doctor's office to get the office to be able to accept my insurance. It was hard for me to say goodbye to him, he truly changed my life.

I was interviewing multiple doctors and he was just one of a few. He answered all my questions and they were extensive. He took the time to explain the procedure and what approach he was going to take. What recovery would look like and all the complications from a major surgery. His compassion was evident and he did not pressure me to chose him. I visited the other doctors and Dr. Richard Grey stood heads and shoulders above them all. I just had the first of two procedures, the procedure went as planned and a good prognosis is indicated. So when it comes time for the second surgery I have no doubt Dr. Gray will be as successful. Once you get to your appointment next month and you have a seat in this very spacious waiting room, take a look around. You will notice there will be 1 maybe 2 people ahead of you, at this moment you think to yourself ( this will be quick) lol. This is the point where you will get to wait somewhere between 1-1 1/2 hours till someone brings you to the examination room, but don't worry the fun doesn't stop there. Once in the room you will get to wait at least another 30 to 45min. If you need to get some shopping done or feel like going to a nice sit down restaurant while you wait, just run up stairs check in and go do your thing, you will have plenty of time

Rewind back in June 2023 when the ER in Tacoma sent me home with a compression wrap and an ice pack and told me nothing major was wrong - then after night of excruciating pain my sister drove me an hour north to the Proliance Orthopedic Walk-in up in Tukwila (separate review - also a great experience, all things considered)... it was there they confirmed that there was at LEAST one break and wanted me to get an MRI as soon as possible, and once my MRI confirmed my triple-fracture and also identified the ligament tear I went looking for PSO. Look up a Lisfranc injury. It's usually sports, mine was just bad luck. I identified Dr Gavin Smith as an Orthopedic Podiatrist and Surgeon who seemed like a great fit. He took my case very seriously from the very start, they fit me in as quickly as possible, and once he got my MRI results he took the time to recommend both a surgical and non-surgical route for treatment - being clear the non-surgical did have a higher likelihood of issues from incorrect healing later on - but was genuine and clear that he was supportive of whichever route I chose. Once I chose surgical (which was 4 steel screws to be inserted into my Lisfranc region to stabilize and allow the injuries to heal properly for 12 weeks, then a final surgery to remove the screws with 4-6 weeks of additional recovery time). This sounded like torture but I was determined to see it through. I was right - it was sort of torture. There was a lot of pain and a lot of annoying times I couldn't do what I wanted to or I'd have to do the things a lot more slowly but I made it to my final surgery... now we are in the recovery window and I am 7 days post-op and starting to walk free of any aides and it's glorious. Yay! I can't wait to get my final sutures out and make my way back to full function - I am so grateful to Dr Gavin Smith. He has an excellent "bedside manner" - he is kind and personable but doesn't sugarcoat anything. He's incredibly knowledgeable and well-versed in his field and also super kind. I would recommend him in a heartbeat and if myself or any of my loved ones need an orthopedic podiatrist his office will be my first call. The staff here at PSO is also great - they run on time almost every time. I've only had one appointment where we ran late and they offered to reschedule me if I could not wait. The office is very clean, parking is readily available and free, and the check-in process is very smooth, especially if you check in ahead on your phone!

They saw my brother for a broken femur, which is obviously not a small thing, and from the moment we were there, the care felt different. The provider who saw him took her time, didn't rush through anything, and actually answered all of our questions in a way that made sense. You could tell she cared, not just about the injury, but about him as a person going through it. Same goes for her medical assistant. Super kind, attentive, and just easy to talk to. It didn't feel cold or clinical the way some places do. It felt like they actually wanted to make sure we understood everything and felt supported. Honestly, after seeing how they handled his care, I've been seriously considering switching my own care over to them. That says a lot coming from someone who's pretty particular about where I go. If you're dealing with anything orthopedic-related and want a team that actually listens and treats you like a human, I would absolutely recommend them.

After a car accident I was referred to this clinic for follow up. The referral was sent on 11/13. I…read morefollowed up multiple times. The first week I called I was told it was being referred to the spinal specialist and they would need to review it so they could schedule me. I called back the next week and was told they still had not reviewed it but they would send another message. I called the following week and was told it was still being reviewed but they would send an urgent message and I would hear back with 24 hours. I called back the next day and was told it takes 48 hours for a response to an urgent message. I called back the next week and they said they still did not have it. I called back again the following week and was told "Oh it's been accepted we can schedule you now". We scheduled for two weeks out. The next day I got a call saying that was an accident that I shouldn't have been scheduled because it had not been reviewed yet and they needed to cancel the appointment. Today I finally got a call saying we need to refer you to someone else. So it took 5 weeks for them to tell me that they need to send me somewhere else. Meanwhile I'm in pain and doing what I can to alleviate it. The administrative process is awful. People should not have e to wait 5 weeks for a case to be accepted or referred out. On top of that no one at the office even knew what was going on as I was given several different messages.

My (good) doctor wanted a ct scan to see the extent of the injury and all Dr. Komatsu did was another x-ray that showed the same thing I knew before and said I was healing. How would he know?? He never did the ct scan to see the damage, not to mention it took over a month for an appointment. This is my second bad experience with them. He just didn't care in the 10 minute appt I had talking to him. He didn't listen to what I was saying, I felt invisible. He showed me the brace I needed on Amazon so I could buy one!! Then he referred physical therapy so I could get a wrist brace from them and they don't even do that! It's like he wanted me to be someone else's problem. Don't waste your time with this place. So now I have a broken wrist and have no idea what to do...if I could give zero stars I would.
