I've written about this store before. Just an update. I am doing my part to help with the long wait time. I am getting a prescription filled that has a $500 co pay for the first 3 months. It gets better later. I went to the trouble and experienced the delays it takes to use an on-line pharmacy. It is a personal victory that Rite Aid will not see the $500. Just let the pharmacist know that I am taking his advise and going elsewhere. read more

‼!!! DOUBLE CHECK YOUR PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION ‼!!! Today 09/05/23 at 2pm I went to the Rite Aid in Chowchilla to pick up prescription medication for my father. After receiving the medication I made sure to double check it. The pharmacist made a DEADLY mistake, 2 of the 3 prescription medications were wrong! When I brought it to their attention, they were initially dismissive and rude. However, after I insisted, they went to fix the mistake. It was a scary experience. After getting the medication fixed, the pharmacist did not even apologize. I really hope that a manager does review these reviews and takes them very seriously and take the appropriate steps needed to resolve these issues so they won't happen again. read more

I waited most of the day yesterday to get my prescription filled to no avail. I have complained to the corporate office in the past and was assured positive changes would be made. I thought I'd give them another shot. Obviously, there has been no change. I have again expressed my concerns. The med I needed was to be taken immediately after receipt for a serious condition. Hoping my health has not been compromised. I will save time and aggravation by going elsewhere from now on. Wish I could rate negative stars! read more

After Savemart pharmacy closed and all prescriptions were transferred to Rite Aid I figured I would give it a shot. What a joke! They don't answer the phones almost at all, and when I was able to finally speak to a tech, she said my med was out of stock and had to order it. A week later, no text. I called and after waiting for an answer was just told the computer was down and she really couldn't help me with anything. Bye Rite Aid. read more

Some people should not be allowed to work with the public or serious matters IE someone's health. Extremely unprofessional , no one knows the laws or what they are doing. A pharmacy is not supposed to be a place where entitled, incapable , power trippers exist. Savemart is much more like your "friendly neighborhood pharmacists" and at least their competent. I left the hospital an hour and a half ago showed up to Rite Aid they tell me it's gonna take another 30 minutes for my prescription to be done this is not the first time I'm not sure what's going on back there but they should probably get it together if the hospital leaves you a message for person leaving the hospital an hour and a half ago and they could be in some kind of pain yeah you might wanna fill that prescription but not them no not worried about anything eitherAnd they had the nerve to give me a funny look when I said it was called in a half hour ago why are you looking at me funny you're the one that didn't fill the prescription you're the one that didn't do your job I had to drop my wife off at home and come back and get the prescript read more

I had lots of problems in the past and now that save Mart closed there pharmacy, they sent my account to rite aid, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and gave them a second chance since it's been a couple of years since I left rite aid to go with save Mart, I called to see if my medication is ready, they said yes ok cool so I go down to pickup my meds, they said it wasn't ready, I told them that I just called like 30 minutes ago and one of you said yes it's ready, that's all it took, so I'm not longer with rite aid pharmacy no more, I took my business to Merced Walgreens, I got to Merced a few times a week but well worth the trip cause they know how to do business..I ready don't know how you guys stay in business smfh read more

Once again- disappointed. After my last few experiences I decided to switch my prescription pick ups to SaveMart. But since the baby is sick with a fever, I really didn't want to get him out of the car today. I got in line as the 4th car. I've been here for 30 minutes and am still waiting for the car in front of me to go so I can pull up. What the hell takes so long about handing people their prescriptions through a freakin drive thru? How the baby is screaming. I'm stuck with cars behind me... and these people are not rushed or even bothered with the fact that they have a line around the entire parking lot. What is the point? Look at your long line of complaints on Yelp? Why aren't you guys making any changes? I will be contacting corporate today. read more

I normally don't leave reviews, but, I went to this Rite Aid on Wednesday morning, Bryan was the manager (or rep) that helped me with what I needed. I am a manager of a Chowchilla business and Bryan's customer service greatly assisted me and all of my 50 employees. He really went above and beyond. Thank you Bryan, we appreciate you! read more

This place SUCKS don't get your medicine from here they probably screw it up STAY AWAY

Making sure this goes everywhere because i want to make sure if you shop here you leave if hes the one helping you. Okay I normally dont write reviews but this idiot, who I'm assuming is a manger, doesnt even know how to use his own registers. I've been coming here off and on to use the cashback system and normally have to pull out about 10 more than the systems allows but all the other cashiers have allowed me to do two transaction to get the extra 10 I needed. No biggie. But today this idiot tells me the max is 40 per day per card that if I wanted the extra ten I would have to come back tomorrow or use a different card. I did this in the past 5 days so please tell me when your policy changed or you're just a dumbass who didnt want to help me out this morning instead you felt the need to argue with your customer who in this case was right but no biggie I just want to make sure that if you do end up using this rite aid it isnt bad just make sure that old dumb idiot isnt the one helping you out. Hes the only older gentleman so you'll know him when you see him. read more

Pharmacist kept me waiting for almost an hour only to tell me he could not fill my prescription because the emergency room doctor neglected to date his signature. After repeating only how it wasn't his fault, the insensitive bastard got a chewing out from me. (Not my best moment but I was in agony) What's more is, days prior - at the onset of the pain- I had asked that same pharmacist if an over the counter product would relieve my earache and it was him who recommended I obtain the very medication I was later prescribed but denied. The big finale consisted of the local policemen who stopped me in the lot as I was leaving. They informed me I was no longer welcome at Rite Aid. Screw that place. Real nice, huh? read more

The pharmacists are quite young and seem to prefer to find reasons not to fill prescriptions rather fill them as prescribed. On the whole I'd say find another more competent pharmacy. read more
