Unfortunately than I saw two gentleman slightly to my right on the bakery side one was doing something with a knife facing the front and his co worker was just standing there talking to him with a towel in his had doing nothing. They both continued just to chit chat the gentleman with the knife was done and they were just chatting on the bakery side. Another gentleman came out from the back deli side and I asked him if someone could help the one deli guy working cause the customer he was helping had a big order and he said no the other deli person was on lunch and those two guys were for the bakery. What?? Are you kidding me Raleys doesn't cross train the bakery people to help out deli ??????? It was a tall European person and a short guy with piercing on his nose. Waited for over 10 mins for sliced meat when they stood there and just chatted away. Terrible service !!

Before it opened, I had to travel to Fresno, Modesto, or somewhere else outside Los Banos to shop at Sprouts. The Merced store is clean, well organized, and easy to navigate. They offer some great deals, although you sometimes have to look around to find them! Be sure to check the discounted items in the crates along the wall... you can find some interesting bargains. What truly makes this location stand out is the staff. I honestly have nothing negative to say about them. The Merced store has an amazing team, and every department is on point. Employees are always quick to help and offer useful recommendations. I visit the meat department often, and the team of butchers is awesome. They're friendly, helpful, and genuinely knowledgeable about the products they sell. The pre-seasoned wings, steelhead trout, and peppercorn burgers are some of my favorite items from the butcher case. The nutritional supplement department is also full of interesting finds. Don't pass up the bulk snacks and ingredients section! I could go on and on, but the bottom line is that Sprouts Merced has become one of my favorite places to shop. When the associate rang up the price it was more. I don't remember the total. I asked the associate if they priced match their on line price. I know for a fact that Wal Mart does price match if the product is the same and it's in stock. The associate said no. So then I showed him the Walmart online price and he says, "They don't price match because the company wants the customers to purchase items on-line." I'm not going to argue so I accepted his story. I talked to a another associate and I was informed they do price match the online prices. Oh, and yes this product works!!! I guess you should buy it online.

The soda was fine, but it took such a long time to find. Maybe it's a Merced thing, or maybe it's an issue in this tiny pocket. The Dickie's BBQ had the same issue. Low standards, low energy, not caring so much. I say that because the Smart and Final near me is a bit more perkier and energetic and doesn't leave the sense of foreboding that this store has.
