As a former employee, I'd like to say that the team working in the store and in the pharmacy do a remarkable job in such a fast-paced and anxiety-inducing environment... that being said, they wouldn't need to be working so hard if there were more people in general to help handle the load, especially within the pharmacy. During my tenure, it seems like every other day the pharmacy team was behind by tens of, if not HUNDREDS, of prescriptions. This is not to say they are lazy or not hard-working, but entirely the opposite -- each member has so many tasks to do on top of cashiering (tedious and time consuming), which is often underrated by the patients that come in. If a pharmacy technician is too busy cashiering then they can't answer phone calls, they can't put away the morning's shipment of new medications, etc. Additionally, the technology in the pharmacy acts out all the time. Patients complaining about being sent the wrong notifications, the computers at the registers malfunction and freeze up a lot, the scanners sometimes don't work, etc. Get a new IT and tech team, ASAP Invest in newer tech or at least more reliable hardware/software Humans are only human! Customer service is listed as one of their priorities, but the pharmacy team cannot always be friendly, nice, and outgoing ESPECIALLY with their current workload and also unfortunately, a lot of the patients that come in are extremely RUDE and do not always bring in the necessary paperwork to process their prescriptions and such -- their frustrations are then dumped onto whoever is unlucky enough to be cashiering and sometimes, the manager pharmacist or staff pharmacist. There is clearly a lack of trust and respect between the pharmacy team and patients. Would I recommend this place? Not really. If you want to get your prescriptions typed up and your medications out quickly, then this pharmacy has too many orders in a day -- you will most likely be told "wait until tomorrow" but even that doesn't guarantee anything. read more

I had to go pickup my medicine and was met with the pharmacy checker and someone in front of me who was discussing his travels with her even though they could plainly see me waiting. He continued his stories and they continued to ignore me. I was feeling weak. He finally left. She treated me rudely and after another wait, the pharmacist came over. She was pleasant and offered a consultation. Horrible with customers and should be fired for torturing obviously ill people. I wouldn't have been there if I didn't need the prescription. This pharmacy does not value their customers and they are rude. The tech with shoulder curly black hair was rude. She got angry bc I we went to pick up antibiotic for an infection on toe due to having ripped off the toe nail. We got prescription on 11/24/23 at urgent care. We went yesterday again and she stated it's not ready. I asked her why is taking so long - she responded bc we have too many we need to fill. They ignore their customers in line and treat them like they are being bothered. Now we will change due to the neglectful manner of this rite aid. This place doesn't fill prescriptions in a timely manner. I have to suffer through withdrawal every month from not getting my prescription in time and I can't request requested to be filled early to make up the time because insurance doesn't allow it so I have to make myself sick and get headaches every month waiting to get it refilled. They really need help. You can't pick anything up same day. Most times it's a week out. I had a tooth pulled last Thursday Sept 5th and I have yet to be able to pick up my pain medication. I followed up on Saturday since they can't answer phones, and was told it would be ready after 2 pm which of course was incorrect. My disabled, elderly client just moved to the area a month ago and switched to Rite Aid pharmacy since it's the closest to her home (mind you she doesn't drive). It's been a headache since. This place can't even fill a prescription after a week and a half. They keep using the excuse of being under staffed. My client is diabetic and completely out of insulin!!!! We called it in over a week ago! We went last week to pick up her prescriptions and they filled 2 she had plenty of and never asked for those prescriptions to be refilled. Then two of the ones she did request to be filled they never refilled and still a week later haven't refilled! It's one excuse after another! They never answer the phones. You can't get through to anyone. Even the staff are rude and completely unhelpful. Should have taken one of the ladies staff members advice when we first transferred my client's prescriptions there.... They often have good prices but sometimes they run out of the items fast or they don't have items on stock.

Called to renew this Tuesday, never heard anything. Currently trying to renew a prescription, but there's a circular automated menu that won't call through to anyone real. Neither my doctor nor I can get a hold of anyone. Really dangerous, since I'm leaving on vacation without enough medication. It is now Friday and I will have had to go to the pharmacy in person TWICE to sort this out. Abysmal customer service, even with a short staff. ***Update***- as I saw "Pam" respond to several other reviews with the Rite Aid customer service number, I proactively called them for help. After being on hold for 35 minutes, they couldn't get through to any pharmacy in my area either. Rite Aid corporate couldn't get through to anyone on the phone due to the same automatic loop system. When I asked how they would get a hold of anyone in the store in case of emergency, she didn't know and couldn't help me. She created a case number, but that still didn't help me in the moment. I called in advance to make sure that they were able to accept bottles and cans. I drove 15 minutes to get there and when I got there, the manager at the receiving dock was busy on his phone and did not care to tend to me. I gave him several minutes then I asked if this was the area for the bottle drop. He said that they won't except any bottles or cans today because they ran out of bags! It is unbelievable and not acceptable! I was told a lie and when I got there they did not accept my bottles! In addition to that as I was walking away, he and his colleague whispered something and laughed. I'm not too sure if they're lying or they truly don't give a shit. Tried to have another rite aid to fill my prescription, but despite the doctor calling and making sure they had the medication and the prescription, 6 hours later, even the different rite aid says they don't have the prescription. I have never seen something so unprofessional and so ridiculous in my entire life. This place is a joke and I will never get another prescription from Rite Aid again. They use an excuse of all these rite aids closing as to why they are so busy, but yet they don't bring in the staff that lost their jobs from these other stores. There's two cash registers in the store, but yet the other one is never open. I have had to stand in line 2 different times for 45 minutes and I have to go back a third time And stand in line another 45 minutes for the same prescription. The drive-through is always full with at least five cars or more. Every time I've gone there, there has been at least 10 people in line inside the store. Luckily, I have AirPods and Hulu so I can watch TV while I'm standing in line forever. And then the cashier uses the excuse, "I'm just a cashier, and there are thousands of people ahead of you", as to why my stuff is not ready. Even though I have talked to the pharmacist on multiple occasions, and was guaranteed my prescription would be ready. So now I have to possibly chance not having my medication because they do not know how to run a pharmacy. I will NEVER go back to rite aid again. If I could give zero stars, I would. pharmacists don't answer the phone, ever in my experience, and the phone system regularly drops calls. medications are often not available they day they say they will be. pharmacy is dreadfully understaffed, lines are regularly a 20-30 minute wait to pick up a medicine whether you do the drive through or go inside. even when I made an appointment for a shot and arrive early I still had to wait over 20 min past my appointment time to be seen. the actual pharmacists are nice enough, this is clearly more of a corporate/system-wide set of issues. read more

One Rite-Aid employee from another store, referred me to visit this store, because they're larger & they have more quantities of everything - one in particular that ONLY Rite-Aid carries. I'm a vendor! Anyways, I called them last night, they have what I need, but she can only hold for 2 hours - since I was calling so late in the evening! I drove there early this morning, and went straight to the department, but THEY DIDN'T HAVE the items, and I was ready to have a tantrum, by asking for the manager. I was the only one @ the store, and one clerk, so I can do that, right? The clerk was very friendly, she talked in a soft voice, she's probably my age, and was just starting her morning in a pleasant way, but here comes a costumer who just drove miles to get there, finding the items not in stock? She pointed me where they are, and as soon as I found them, I calmed down. :) They were 2/$5.00, but they were rang up as $1.00 off. I bought several of the same sizes, different colors, but I wasn't getting the sale price 2/$5.. I was already driving back home, and visiting 3 other Rite-Aids along the way by then, but I'm still happy I found what I came for! read more

In a hurry? This is not the place to go. The lines here rival the DMV. There is a really helpful pharmacist who makes getting your prescription easy. He so easy going and kind. Always willing to help. Now there is a white girl, with dark hair and glasses that will ruin your hour with her very abrupt demeanor, just ignore her. She's not worth loosing any of your positive energy on. Getting my prescription ls here with little to no hassle is this place's saving grace. They have a sign saying that you can get other stuff through the window as to not have to go inside during the pandemic. They have done this for me many times, usually just an item or two. Today my elderly mother picked up her medicine here at the drive-through, they refused to allow her to purchase Orajel mouthwash (which she needs desperately) through their drive-through and told her she'd have to come in. Guessing someone put on their b****y pants on today and just didn't want to, or they are ageist. Also, I have witnessed a few fights at this location. Today I bought a pop that had a big sign on it 2/3.00. When I asked why it rang up at the regular price the cashier offered no explanation. He just shoved the slip at me. I assume that means, "because the computer said so." I asked if I could use my phone number to get the discount and he replied that he needs my id for beer. I came to pick up my medication here a month ago and it was supposed to be a three month supply but they only gave me one. I've never picked up this medication before so I didn't know I was supposed to receive 3 packs versus 1 pack that I got. I'm running out of my 1 pack medication and I have 5 days left. I called to get a refill but I was told by Claire that I couldn't get a refill because I still had two more months of supply left that they gave me. I was confused at this point. They called my insurance and said they couldn't do anything about it because I had already paid for three (which I did not receive 3). They said if I really wanted to get another pack, I have to pay out of pocket. So I'd have to pay for another one, on top of what I already paid for, for two packs that I did not receive. They did not apologize or admit to their fault, for not giving me the correct amount in the initial visit. This place is horrible. read more

every time we use Rite Aid, they get the prescription wrong - and I've never had one filled on time (or even the day they claim it will be ready) always takes them a few days. Please, if you use these guys for your medication, make sure to call multiple times ahead before you go to pick it up - and make sure you fill your medication as early as possible. These guys Will mess it up every time. Ended up paying over $400.00 for a mistake they made, husband is diabetic - so we had no choice but to pay out of pocket.
