We walked in for Thrifty ice cream cones last night. It may be the last time we go, unless we drop by once more before they close for good on August 10, 2025. The scoops of ice cream this time were smaller than I've ever seen here before. My daughter noticed the scoop was shallow, so chalk it up to shrinkflation. I have noticed there have been less employees in the Ridgecrest Rite Aid pharmacy. Even with that, the people who have assisted me in the pharmacy have always been courteous and friendly. On one occasion, I was told a prescription would be ready in the morning, so I went to pick it up and was told it wasn't ready. That was unusual experience for me. I like the drive through although sometimes it takes awhile if there are other cars ahead of me. read more

Tonight I called the pharmacy. I talked to a wonderful & helpful pharmacist. He even recommended a program since my insurance doesn't pay out here. You get helpful and not helpful staff, at times, but this doctor/pharmacist was amazing. Keep up the great work. I am working two hours from home so it is good to know I can get needed meds when I am too sick or can't leave work & drive four hours to go to Lancaster Kaiser. We have used RiteAid on China Lake Blvd for years and had no issues. Recently, they have messed up on prescription labels and just today gave me the wrong HEP-B vaccine. Totaly unsat and they could kill someone if they give them the wrong medication/vaccine. I highly recommend using another pharmacy if you want compitent treatment or your presciptions filled correctly and the dosage filled out right. I have been a Rite Aid pharmacy customer for 16 years in San Diego. I recently moved to Ridgecrest and have had some very serious health issues this past week and the communication from the pharmacy team to me and my doctor has been so horrible! They tell me one thing and the doctor something else. I drove to pick up something my doctor told me was called in to this pharmacy that she had confirmed earlier this morning WAS IN STOCK only to be told oh no, I didn't tell her we had them available cuz we do not!!!! I was forced to change my ongoing medications to CVS Caremark by my insurance and now I'm glad because I wouldn't want to have to deal with the poor and inconsistent communication that this team has exhibited to me multiple times in the span of just a few days!!! read more

The pharmacy here completely sucks it always takes forever to be seen through the drive-through. I don't understand why someone has to wait almost 20 minutes to get their prescriptions. It's this way all the time and they wonder why they're going out of business. Absolutely no courtesy with most employees in the pharmacy! Nobody smiles. Nobody says thank you or your welcome. Nobody can even simply say goodbye before hanging up the phone. Incompetent and unprofessional. I was in the pharmacy drive through for a half an hour and after getting a bag with supposedly both my medications in it I left in a hurry as I had places to be. Upon arriving home I discovered they did not put one of my prescriptions in the bag. I contacted the pharmacy and was told they would check surveillance footage when the manager arrived. Well, I got a call not long afterwards pinning the missing prescription on me and ultimately getting a "we aren't checking the camera footage" before getting shoved away. Whoever I spoke to, a gentleman (to be gracious), was incredibly rude and apathetic. Corporate Rite Aid is very kind and eager to help but Ridgecrest Rite Aid needs more heart when it comes to healthcare, because this display has been pitiful. read more

She is a very rude person, and so is the tall bald fat guy she hangs on at work. I believe he is a supervisor or something, am pretty sure they are married or something. Worst, worst, worst pharmacy. I wish yelp could allow me to give 0 stars........They tell you your prescription is going to be ready at one time and you go there and NOPE is not ready. Like you literally have to be on them to have it ready. That's so annoying! The employees have told me that they're short in staff. That's the explanation they give EVERY SINGLE TIME! RITE AID HIRE PEOPLE!! With the exception of Ashley who always tries to be helpful everyone else seems in a hurry and stress out which explains their customer service. I use this pharmacy about 3-5 times a month, picking up prescriptions for myself and my kids. MARIA is awesome. She is always very friendly and helpful. I was very impressed how after the first couple times I went there, she would see it was me in drive through and go get my prescriptions without even needing to ask my name. Which never ever ever happens with me, as my name is unusual not very easy to remember lol. I'm always very happy when I pull up to the window and see Maria's friendly face :) will most definitely be continuing to use this pharmacy!!! read more

Pharmacy...wow. Yelp wouldn't let me review no stars, so 1 it is. I have a 90mg prescription that has to be filled as 60+30 in 2 bottles. They filled it with 2 bottles of 60, though the labels the pharmacy printed and signed off said it was 1 x60 and 1 x 30. Thankfully I caught it, but with other meds that is the KIND OF MISTAKE THAT CAN KILL SOMEONE. Just thought I should put this one in the back of your minds...read the BOTTLE not the labels. They are the only pharmacy in town that accepts Tricare. Which is unfortunate. I won't even bore you with my other negative experiences there, but they're awful. read more

the new boss in pharmacy is a fucking joke, the 3 lady's that always help me are the best they never forget who i am i pull up they go get my meds right when they see me, they have helped me on such difficult insure med issues and have never disappointed me since i left walgreens ( don't get me started on that joke ) but there new boss lady there is making it go way down hill i used to love going to pick up my meds but now like for instance i've waiting 2 days on my meds when she told one of the 3 great lady's that help me that she will have it ready but now i have to wait because there fucking closed on christmas, so hoping to pick up today but will see, all i'm saying is they need to get rid of her and hire someone like the last guy o and i would of gave 1 star but the 3 lady's that are great help this store o and sorry i'm not good with names that's why i'm saying 3 great lady's lol read more

I have now canceled my card and am going to mark it up as lesson learned as it was less the $20.00. If I could give ZERO stars I would!! Worst pharmacy in town. My son needed asthma meds that were prescribed at the ER. Husband dropped off the scripts at 3pm, pharmacist was at lunch. He was told the meds would be ready in 2 hours and he would receive a phone call. Here we are 6pm, no phone call, no meds, pharmacy closed. Tech is walking out the door, so my husband asks about getting the meds. She said she can't open the door and the main guy is gone already. Don't waste your time or money at this place! Maria is awesome, but the lady who wears a dog collar (yes, a dog collar) is rude, unhelpful, and has no idea what she is doing. She literally made up an excuse to turn me away when she didnt have my script ready and was unbelievably rude about it when I asked why. She told me I couldn't refill my son's script because of insurance which was completely bogus. I waited for maria to return from lunch and she had my childs prescription filled right away without issue. Dog collar lady should be fired for being such a combination of rude and stupid. Worst experience in customer service was at the pharmacy here. My first choice was Walgreens, but I was directed here because of Tricare. The visit started off simple with dropping off the prescription. We were told it would be about an hour, so we decided to leave and come back. This was no issue since I come from a medical center with notorious wait times. The issues began to appear when my husband and I returned to pick up window. The window was closed due to the pharmacist being on lunch. That's fine, we all have to eat. We were told to come back in 25 minutes. We decided to sit down and wait until the pharmacist returned. My husband alerted me of the window opening, so I brought my ID to the desk and told the clerk I was picking up a prescription I dropped off earlier. He went to his computer in the back and came back to double check my ID. He made a few more trips, asked a few more questions until I finally asked if the prescription was ever filled. He appeared willing to help, but confused, until a voice yelled out, "she's never been here before! That's the problem." OK, I didn't know that was a problem. First time for everything, right? We were directed to the other window. The female clerk didn't even remove herself from her computer on the other side of the divider as she asked for my insurance card. No face time at all, just barked orders. I told her I didn't have my card, but I'm active duty military and I have my DOD ID with me. She pushes the card away and snaps, "I don't need that. Write your social on this here," as she pushed a post it note to me. Seriously? I understand you need my social, but the attitude was out of hand. I wrote it down for her and asked for the post it note back once she was done, but I guess she didn't here me. Again, no face time, just barking of orders. She told me to go back to the other window to receive my prescription. My husband asked her again for the post it with my social on it very politely. She comes back with an attitude, "we have confidential trash." He replied, "that's fine. We're just asking for it back." She ripped it off and gave it to him. As we're walking over to the other window, she rolls her eyes and asks, "do you want these name tapes too? I mean, they have your name on them!" I finally snapped and replied, "are you kidding me with that attitude? I just wanted my social back!" My husband had to move me as she was fighting back with me. Please understand that I did not want my social floating around and it's not a ridiculous request to ask for it back! She should never work in a customer service job with that attitude. read more

My experience with them has always been positive! They always have my prescriptions ready when they say, I am helped in a decent time and manner even with several cars ahead of me at the drive thru and if a product I normally receive is out of stock, they replace it with something that has the same chemical compounds. When calling to fill my scripts, the phone is answered every time. I can't relate to any of the previously read experiences. read more

I'm so glad that they opened here in Ridgecrest. Decent prices, very nice customer services, and a great pharmacy! I am always here for prescriptions and the drive-thru isn't always too busy. I like the call back service from the pharmacy too! The shopping here isn't too expensive either as they have some decent items that you can't always find at other stores. It is in a very convenient area with sufficient parking! Some of they're deals are pretty nice too, like the small bottles of wine or chocolates!!!
