We took a mini girls' trip and wanted to get "matching" zodiac tattoos to symbolize our friendship. Kai is phenomenal! They took their time and was so warm and down to earth. Their fine line work surpassed what I was expecting. I'd like to book again the next time I'm in town! In addition, we spoke with their psychic medium, Andrea. I don't have adequate words - she was spot on with me and my two girlfriends, was very specific about each of us, and overall, it was just a very surreal experience. I went to ritual moon off a recommendation from my twin. I had been looking for a new shop as my old one shut down. I first made an appointment with Corvus to get a sunflower and lavender tattoo. He nailed it! Not only was his artwork great, but he also made me feel so comfortable. Two weeks ago, I got another tattoo, also done by Corvus, and he nailed it again. Corvus is so kind and caring, I always joke that he's my therapist because I talk to him about everything. The shop is eclectic (which I love) and very clean! The worst tattoo experience of my life. At first we walked into the shop and loved the atmosphere. Dope shop and everyone was nice at first no problems. Micah the artist that was tattooing us, so he went to sketch up our designs and came back 30 minutes later with some ideas we wanted simple tweaking to. This happened like 2 times and it took him two hours. (When we brought him in reference photos that we wanted exactly.) after that it was about 45 minutes for him just to set up and d.ck around. And it took him and hour 30 to do a simple spider web and aside from the fact he took forever the main problem is how he did this piece. I'll include the photo and it came out good enough aside from the damage to the skin because he obviously has no clue what he is doing. 1) instead of fluid, one stroke lines he would go back and worth with the needle in the skin. For people unfamiliar this is very damaging to the skin. And extremely painful!! 2) he used the same paper towel through the whole session including leaving TOO much ink on the tattoo which was making the whole thing burn considering the damage he did to the skin. 3) he said one of the employees is his sister and he is not on the crew for this shop he is apprenticing and call me crazy for thinking it's extremely unprofessional to not inform clients of an artists status. If I'm being tattooed by a apprentice I want to know that going in. 4) this was my final straw. 4 hours in he finally finished with this simple web and at that Point I said there's no way I'm getting that tattoo to which he said "yeah, I know". They refunded me in cash since I didn't end up getting my piece and they require a deposit. He charged my friend 100 and we left in a rage. This kid needs to find a different career. read more

I'd reached out through the form on their website (an aside - the staff here keep changing their names, confusing to begin with but doubly so when the website isn't fully updated) and booked an appointment with Raven, who I'd followed on Instagram for awhile and was recommended by a friend. The day of my appointment came and she simply did not show, which was hugely disappointing a needless waste of my time. I understand that she was having some personal issues at the time, but to have no one reach out to let me know was unprofessional and rude. One very confusing conversation later, I rescheduled my appointment for later that week with Corvus - which I do appreciate him being able to fit me in so quickly. The art he drew up was great and he kept a good conversation going the whole time - great vibes overall. However, the quality of the finished tattoo is mid - the linework is shaky and many lines are more dots than lines. It's not bad enough to be noticeable at a glance or anything, but this was a pricier tattoo and I had expected better. (Also - it hurt like crazy and swelled insanely bad, both more than any other tattoo I've gotten, but it feels a bit crazy to complain about pain on a yelp review of the place I paid money to stick me with a needle thousands of times) read more

I really hoped i'd be leaving a different review, but I do want to share my experience. I originally set an appointment at this studio because I loved the vibes, as a practicing pagan and enjoyer of the darkness, i felt in my element. When I set my appointment I did originally want a larger piece done (quoted at about $800) and I had been saving money for a while to get it done. Unfortunately, I've recently gone through some unforeseen car issues and i had to eat into my tattoo fund a little bit. I received a text from the studio asking for reference pictures and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to let them know about my situation. I had a couple back up ideas that i estimated around $400-$600 but I was told I would not be able to get anything else. I understand that a certain time slot was put aside for me, but if the tattoo isn't even drawn yet how is it too late for me to change it? i have included our texts, and yes i know maybe i was out of line saying it was shitty.... but was i? also why bring up the fact that she's missing out on a day of work when i quite literally tried giving work, yeah it's different and not as expensive but then it wouldn't be wasted time? i'm truly disappointed and will not be returning :( read more

Review is for Abraxas the tarot card reader! My daughter and I popped in today on a whim because it's her birthday and we happened to be across the street at the art museum and see the tarot sign. We have both had cards read many times before, some good, some not so much.... abraxas is the real deal! We both immediately connected with the information he was providing and knew he was right on! Went to Ritual Moon with a friend last night in a sudden fit of chaos and adventure. My skin was a blank canvas until yesterday due to a skin condition that made me hesitant to get any tattoos. I am happy that my first tattoo experience was at Ritual Moon - the artist, Morgana, was incredibly sweet and very talented. I sent an image of what I wanted my tattoo to be and Morgana made it look wonderful. Abraxas helped book our walk-in (which we called about ahead of time) and they were also very kind. The vibe of the place was interesting and welcoming. Ended up watching some really fun movies while getting tattooed and waiting. Speaking of which, if you do book an appointment here - try to allow extra time and an extra bit of money. The experience and the tattoo were worth both to me.
