She reached out to me via DM and offered to help me with my hair-mergency. I previously went to a salon in Falls Church where my hair was cut unevenly(one side longer than the other/thinner than the other), severely thinned out at the bottom and given choppy "layers"(if you could even call them that. Initially I wasn't able to tell walking out of the salon due to the way the stylist had blew out my hair - it was only when I washed it for the first time that I noticed it. I was too embarrassed to even take photos of my hair and tried to hide it the best I could by curling it again for work. Julie did an amazing job saving what she could of my hair. She evened out the bottom as best as it could be (there is still some thinness/patchiness just due to the previous stylist) but I couldn't be more grateful for her time and work. If you're ever in need of a great service, I highly recommend seeing Julie and taking advantage of her 20+ years of knowledge/experience.

I tried to explain what I wanted and why, and I even showed example pics of what I liked, only to be met with a silent look and a continuation of ignoring my appointment request and trying to talk me into something that I did not want at all. This went on for 20 minutes, and the colorist flat-out refused to listen to what I wanted to get done and instead focused on what they thought I should want, which was NOT at all even close to what I wanted. I quickly noticed that everyone else in the salon was met, seated, and received their services, all with a smile. Afraid to say much in the way of details, but I do want to tell peeps to most definitely advocate for yourself even if the stylist doesn't agree with you because you are getting your hair done how YOU like it and in a style that makes you feel good, not for them! And trust me, they would most definitely not want you to choose their hairstyle for them, so don't feel bad about standing your ground. I wish I had!!!
