I came in the other day for a female "Mohawk". With the first two images as an example of what I'm working for & Jamie said she never did one, (besides her husband). I was thinking about waking out but I figured I let her practice on my head to gain experience. Know my top is long, sides and back been growing wild since covid started. I wanted to give her a chance as I could have messed it up just as bad lol (but not $50 bad) I told her I wanted to keep the top long, sides shaved but work on the back growing to a point. I was expecting a semi fade from short (back) to long (front). I even told Jamie I'm letting her as a styltest to undo my rat nest of hair. Even the sides being shaved we talked about doing a 1 to a fade to a 2 but she obv didn't feel comfortable doing that....a basic fade so we went with an over all 1 I ended up with a legit reverse mullet (picture shown). I showed my coworkers and even tho I laughed it off they even were mad for me. As a stylist you thought a reverse nullet was ok?!? Idk if it was bad communication or she was scared to work on my hair or what.... $52 (with a tip) for shaved sides and a trim....a basic men's hair cut..... I knew I should have gone to a barber who could have done the SAME JOB but better as well for cheaper. I don't understand why women are changed almost triple for the same hair cut that men pay more than half the price. 3rd picture. The top in my hand is what was long and was trimmed. The back was the length of the overall lower half of my hair. As you see she just shaved the sides, trimmed the top and decided to call it good. I wish there were more stars to give. I am visiting the area and I desperately needed a manicure and a Brazilian wax. I arrived about 10 minutes early for my scheduled appointment but they took me right away. I started off with my nails with Leah. She was so nice to me and engaged in such great conversation not to mention did an incredible job on my nails. Maggie took me after for my wax appointment. I was a bit nervous going in because I normally get sugar wax but she made it as painless as possible using the wax they had. She was such a sweetheart and also the results were phenomenal. Went for a men's haircut. The $25 is not a problem if it actually comes out like it should from a salon but I had to go elsewhere to have it recut and fixed. It wasn't faded at all, I could of taken a bowl and cut around it to achieve the same result. And the spots that were cut, there were significant parts that were missed. It was overall just plain bad. I give it 2 stars because they were friendly and the place was very clean. The hair stylist spoke about getting a facial there for which I may go back for but still extremely disappointed with the cut. read more

I used to really love coming here for all of my beauty needs, but unfortunately my last service has changed that. I booked a hair appointment online for a wash, cut, and dry of my hair. I was there 10 minutes early and I ended up waiting 30 minutes past my appointment time. I finally asked the receptionist if we needed to reschedule, she checked on the stylist who said she only needed 5 more minutes, so I waited. Stuff happens, so I wasn't upset about it. I finally went back and she explains a guy came in right before me without an appointment and had a lot more hair than she expected so it took a while. Again, no big deal. But then she proceeded to cut my hair dry without a wash. I was like okay that's weird, but maybe she will just wash after. Literally 15 minutes in the chair and she says I'm done and she will walk me up to reception. I was shocked, but thinking okay, guess she didn't have time for a wash and style. But then I was charged $55 for my 15 minute service that wasn't even what I booked. I asked the receptionist if that's the price even though I wasn't washed or styled and she said yes. Of course I paid it, but that did not sit well with me at all. I felt like my time wasn't valued and my service was cut short of time and quality and still cost a lot. I have been to Rituals many times and I will not return. Ladies be warned if you go for a facial and if they suggest an add-on like vitamin c which they did for me do not say yes but ask how much will it cost? I was charged an additional $40.00 and was not told until I checked out to leave. This was not a good customer experience and this customer will not be back. read more

I only experienced a Down Below wax from Taylor and she was absolutely amazing! Well amazing for the amount of awkwardness there was haha She played some awesome 90s music to "set the mood" and was humorous with me about the entire thing trying to make it as least awkward as possible. Never will I ever go here again. I dont recommend this place to nobody. You get a Wal-Mart unexperienced hair cut for high price. My hair cut was all chopped up by Jamie. I told her what I want. Showed her pictures. She did the complete opposite. Now I am having to wear a wig because she cut my hair in some places to short that is all the way to the crown. Other places so long that wasnt even cut. Jamie is very unexperienced and has no skill for hair cutting. I am going to have to wait 6 months to try again somewhere else. I hope this place goes out of business. Over charging people who think they are paying for skilled stylist only to get a hair cut that looks like a 3 yr old cut. PEOPLE BE WARNED !!! I went to Rituals for the first time this past Friday (February 14th), and a lady named Rachel Smith cut my hair. It was the worst haircut I have ever had in my life! First off, she washed and blow dried my hair, and said she preferred to cut it dry. I have never had my hair cut dry before. She did not section it, and proceeded to cut. My hair was past my shoulders when I came in, and I asked for it to be above my shoulders. I paid my $47 for the haircut, and tipped her $10. When I got home and flat ironed my hair, although my shampoo/cut/style should have included a complete flat iron (which she did not do)I saw that my hair was cut uneven in spots. I even had long pieces mixed in with short hair. It was Valentine's Day, and I had plans all weekend. As soon as I was able to, I went back to Rituals to complain. A lady named Taylor Loftin took time out of her schedule to fix what Rachel messed up. Taylor did a great job sectioning off my hair, and making sure everything was even! The lady at the front was very apologetic, and willing to squeeze me in today to get my hair fixed. I appreciate those 2 ladies, as they made a bad situation not so bad. As for the salon itself, I will never go back for my haircare needs. I do have a Rituals gift card for a pedicure and will rate that at a later date as well. read more

As an update to my previous review, I'd like to add that Betsy provides incredible facial treatments. I have never had a facial until today, but after an hour with Betsy, my face and hands look and feel better than they have in a long time. Amanda J is still tops when it comes to deep tissue massage, but Betsy's delicate and soothing touch melts away facial tension and leaves one's face feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. Again, the staff and services provided at Rituals are exemplary. Want to invest in yourself? Spend some time getting to know the women who work at Rituals. Came here last week for a couples massage and walked away feeling so happy. My husband and I were greeted and waited in a room with snacks and water. We were guided to our room and undressed and laid stomach down. Once the massage started I drifted off to sleep and felt amazing. I don't like a lot of pressure but my husband does. We both got what we wanted out of the massage. He got more pressure and I got less. Side note, if you check in on yelp they offer you a discount. I'll be back for sure!! read more

I go here to have my hair done. I haven't tried any of the other services yet, but I hear they are pretty decent. Beth does my hair, and she does an amazing job. She was able to fix a hack job I got from John Blalock, and I could'nt be happier. She is very professional and obviously has been doing hair for years. The color was great, and she works quick. The front desk could be a little more friendly in my eyes, but it is what it is. Oh and this place is very affordable compared to the last place I had my hair done! read more

I've had excellent experiences with the services that I have used (prenatal massage, eyebrow waxing, hair cut, highlights, and hair color). If I am unable to schedule my hair appointment with Rachel, I do not mind seeing Deanna (spelling?). They have both worked wonders on my hair. Rachel has never disappointed me in the 2+ years that I have been seeing her. I "strayed" once because it was the holidays and ended up coming back for them to fix it after the holidays. The front staff is friendly and the wait time is never more than 5 minutes. They make sure that you have something to eat or drink, especially if your appointment is a longer one. read more

Everyone here was really nice. As far as atmosphere, I would say it's definitely the best in town. I went for a manicure and it wasn't great. When I left it looked as if I had gone in just to have my nails painted. They weren't cleaned up very well. It was way too expensive to have to go home and re-do myself. I tried giving this place a second chance but I will never go there again. I went to have my hair bleached (I won't say the hair dressers name) and left with my hair wet, in a bun, completely brassy yellow. The hair dresser gave me her cell phone number after I left to have me call her to fix it at her house another day. I went home and had to fix my hair myself since I didn't want to go out in public with terrible bleached roots. I recently made a nail appointment to get my nails done. I showed the lady what I wanted and she said she didn't know if she could do that certain design (cheetah print on one finger). First big red flag right there. She filed my nails down as short as they could be and started putting gel nail polish on. I told her I wanted a full set like the photo shows. She said she didn't have any time for me and told me to go somewhere else. Extremely disappointed with this business. read more

I was disappointed with the salon from the moment I met the stylist. She did seem really enthusiastic to be at work that day or interested in what I wanted to do with my hair. As she proceeded with my hair cut I tried make light conversation and she made no attempt to make any conversation with me. Her customer service skills pretty much sucked and her hair cut was even worse. I showed her a picture for what I was wanting and a general length at completion. Neither of these goals was attained. I am 24 hours after my haircut and I can not do not anything with my hair. I am disappointed with my experience at this experience and would not waste my money to go back. I just stumbled on this yelp in looking for a place to eat. So I had to comment on this spa because I love it..I agree there is a snobbiness to some of the girls up front, but where can you go that you don't run into that? The hairdressers are amazing because I have friends that go there. I get my nails done here and the service has been fantastic. I recently got a 90 minute massage with I think her name was Carol and it was fantastic. I never been so pleased with my services anywhere else. Lets just say my hair was a mess. Dead ends were awful you could tell i havent had my haircut in forever. I needed healthy hair again. I walked in a mess and i walked out feeling like i had just won a million Bucks. I had all over highlights put in. Which is usually tougher to do with my hair because it has a natural red tint. She did an absolute great job and i was impressed!!! Highlights in my hair take forever because i have thick hair. i was in there for about three hours. I usually get bored an cant sit still but the conversation flow with the stylist made the three hours fly by. The staff is just amazing very personable and easy to talk too. Im so late in writing my review till now because i had my appointment reminder text sent from rituals to my phone (which is awesome because i can be very forgetful) and reminded me i needed to write my review. The manager called me after hearing about my experience and is not only making it right but also giving me my money back. Today was my first experience at Rituals Day Spa and it was FANTASTIC. I just moved to town and am extremely picky about my hair. Ashlee Jones, Stylist, did a fantastic color, cut & style on my hair. I cannot remember the last time I left the salon and immediately LOVED my new hair-do. I can't stop looking in the mirror. I highly recommend Ashlee (I'm sure the other stylists are also great.) The salon is in wonderful condition and has an amazing overall feel, very clean and nicely decorated. Everyone was as nice as could be, I will be back soon! read more
