The people who work here are fantastic! For a small store, they carry a LOT of nice, quality items. If they don't have it, they can get it quickly. I am going to have my g.f. diamond set into one their beautiful settings, with a garnets boarding the diamond. They are really good a giving suggestions etc. I have also been there twice to have them replace my watchbands.. they would not accept payment, even thought one was tricky and took some time. The owner is Mike Rivard, This guy is FUNNY. He should have his own morning talk show! Their gemologist is Damon Surgener, and is quite extensive . Family owned business that I keep going back to for their wonderful selection. Mr. Mike Rivard is amazing. His son and his son's girlfriend help run the store, and they are both very knowledgeable. I took my ring to Rivards to get it resized. I thought after reading all the good reviews that this would be an easy process. This wasn't the case. When I called they had told me a ring resize took 4 days and was $20. I understand that cost and time can vary but they did not disclose that information. My fiancé took the ring to get resized and the lady at the counter said it will be $50 and will take a week.. well he was already there so we decided to just drop it off anyway. They called the following week and said it was ready.. I went to go pick it up and as I was driving I had noticed that my ring was gold and not the white gold it was originally (I also checked the receipt copy they had given me and it states white gold on it). I went back to the store and told the lady at the counter what happened. She told me that white gold can turn gold from wear and tear and has to be dipped every so often... I had the ring for a total of 4 days prior to dropping off. She tried making me pay even after I told her everything!! Thank god a different lady showed up and said it wouldn't be any cost. She told me that it would be another week. That makes it 2 full weeks that they have had my engagement ring which I think is ABSOLUTELY ABSURD!! I can't tell you how many times in the last couple weeks I've said "I don't have it back yet, it's still at the jewelers" when people have asked to see my ring. The ladies there didn't seem to care at all, didn't offer to expedite the service, and didn't even offer an apology at the very least!! I was considering going back for our wedding bands but I'm definitely going to go somewhere else now. read more

Exceptional experience with Rivard while shopping for an engagement ring. I came in on multiple occasions, the first time with zero knowledge or about engagement ring pricing, options, settings, styles, etc. I went to 4 or 5 other jewelers in the area during that time because I wanted to make sure I was getting the right ring at the right price, and as far as I'm concerned it takes a little bit of time to learn about gems and settings to actually know if you're really getting the best quality possible for an appropriate price, especially if you're a dude who legit knows basically nothing about jewelry.
