They had a big sale today with the whole store at 25% off but they had lots of items stocked, labeled, and organized and the staff was helpful and worked fast to make the lines move in a timely manner. This space is a nook of older and first edition books, but not a great spot to find newer used reads. Most of the books are about Oklahoma and Native Americans. There are some smaller sections of science fiction, literature & classic children's books. Inside is well organized but you still feel like an explorer. I'm going to go back as Belle and find the rose behind a book.

The guy that owns the place is pretty nice and seems to know the business. I also love giving my business to locally owned used bookstores. On the other hand a lot (if not most) of the books are WAY WAY WAY overpriced. And I'm not talking about the rare first edition stuff. I'm talking about just run of the mill crap you find in any used bookstore. You know, stuff that anywhere else might cost $2-$4 would cost $10-$15 at Oak Tree. So, I don't know.... I would only recommend this place if you're a collector of rare and/or first edition books, or if there's some book you absolutely have to have but can't find it anywhere else. I stopped in because I'm traveling and knew they would have a place to sit and relax while I sent out a few emails. I bought a drink and a snack and went over to plug in and do a little work.
