When it get hot its hard to get anyone to even come out and walk the job (my lot) Most I called were in no rush or wanted to "put me on a schedule in a week or two"! "Jerry the Owner of River Action Landscaping" came out personally within 48 hours (on time arrival) on the first visit sat down at my kitchen table discussed options and pricing. Then we both walked the property sprayed some lines on the ground for reference points Let me work something up for you - be back in a day or two I'll call you tomorrow "Wow ME was my reply'! He did. Came back out with a another person (his foreman" with a 4 color design sheet outlining what he thought I wanted and it was spot on.. Then I asked to make changes No problem was his reply. Jerry made copious notes and emailed the new plan with revisions (looked great) set up a time to bring out materials within 10 days ..and with all that pre-planning the job went seamlessly. Jerry at River Action Landscaping came highly recommend to me by one of the sub contractors who did a lot of work on our new construction home in Lake Havasu. I called Jerry about 6 weeks before our home was completed to have him come give us a bid on landscaping for our new home. He showed up on time, which is a big deal in this town! He came ready to listen to our needs and provided some very good suggestions that we had never thought of. We decided on front and back landscaping which included rock, desert plants, and artificial grass for our doggie out back! Jerry's bid was fair so we scheduled him to come out and do the three day job the week of our move in. Again, his crew showed up when promised and the work began promptly. The crew was nice, respectful, and did a VERY GOOD job on our landscaping. When they left the house looked beautiful and everything was clean and tidy. Paid a lot of money for our front yard landscaping, but the job was incomplete. Three times, so far, they committed to come back and finish the job. Three times, so far, they no-showed/no-called so our job is still incomplete. If you do business with this company, do not pay them until you are satisfied that the job is fully complete or you may never see them again. read more

We needed our yard repaired after pool construction and were having a hard time finding someone with availability. Our pool contractor gave us Jerry's number. He came out the same day and gave me an estimate the next without us even being home. We meet him the following weekend and went over what he had proposed. He started a day earlier then he quoted and finished a day earlier. His people did an excellent job, even better then I had imagined. We have looked for a landscaping company for about a year. The reviews on yelp don't seem to support anyone landscaping company as over the top. We are part-timers in Havasu and I did not have time to travel and inspect the job. So we had to take a leap of faith. We based our decision to use River Action landscaping on the number job site signs around town. They were fairly good about returning calls and we're only one day late on their estimated date to complete the job. In my book that's pretty good. I asked to have the gray rock on the side yard refreshed and the cost of $400. When they arrived the job foreman called to tell me that he really didn't need new rock and they would rake it out as part of the main job. Well that's pretty impressive and shows a integrity. We will use them for all future landscaping jobs. read more

Having been dissed by another contractor, we called Jerry at River Action. We recently had a pool installed and needed landscaping. Reviews at Yelp were consistent with what we found. Unlike other contractors River Action answered the phone, scheduled an ON Time evaluation and plan and had an estimate in a couple of days. The crew Todd and Mike and others were great. The job was completed on time despite the hot weather. Before they left instructions were given as to how to take care of the plantings and new irrigation system. Will highly recommend them. Another company in Lake Havasu that pays to advertise everywhere... too bad their service is SO horrible. I had to leave 2 phone messages for this company before a women called me back to schedule an appointment for someone to come look at my yard project. I think his name was Jerry that was coming on a Friday afternoon. I was there all afternoon waiting for him to show up to give me an estimate. Of course he was a NO SHOW! No phone call either. What a waste of my time! I tried calling them but just got their voicemail (again!).... left another message. The woman decided to call me back the following Tuesday to tell me that Jerry did show up and the job wasn't big enough for them. What!? Totally not even true since I was home all afternoon and no one ever came by. Plus the job was front and backyard and definitely not too small for them. She insisted that it wasn't a job for them and instead referred me to call another company in town!! This place must be plenty busy working for new home builders or something because they sure don't seem to care about getting new business from a homeowner. WHY EVEN PAY TO ADVERTISE? Pass! read more

The work was done in less than 3 days....large RV area, pool area, and large front yard. Absolutely beautiful!! We have lived in Havasu for 14 years, and have landscaped a lot of homes, but River Action beats them all. His pricing was very reasonable, to say the least.
