I hate leaving bad reviews but I wish someone warned me before coming Here. It literally felt like a cult :( A Ted talk and concert. The pastor is an amazing speaker, but the Bible was never opened and he didn't quote any scripture. He spoke well but I felt very uneasy during the service. I love everyone who lead people closer to God but I dislike and can't agree with the way they run its service. It just wasn't for me. Ps They had a merch store and inside they had figurines of the pastor for sale.... like what???? I knew for sure this wasn't a house of God. read more

Es impresionante la excelencia que se le da a Dios en cada servicio. Las enseñanzas de pastor Dante son prácticas y muy ligadas a la Palabra de Dios. Si bien es cierto que no utiliza la biblia física (el libro) en sus prédicas, pero tiene en su cerebro los versículos memorizados y con citas bíblicas! El pastor se ha adelantado muchos años cuando ya no tendremos el libro físico y tendremos que recordar los versículos bíblicos para enseñar a otros del amor de Dios. Ya en algunos países se puede notar que no hay libertad de cargar la Biblia como muchos estamos acostumbrados o todavía no hay Biblias escritas en ciertos idiomas, entonces los misioneros les predican l Palabra usando la memorización de la Palabra! Creo en Jesucristo como mi Salvador y Señor por muchos años y todo el tiempo cargo mi Biblia a donde sea que voy (ya está muy gastada pero no quiero cambiarla por todos las notas y enseñanzas que Dios me ha dado y las tengo escritas en mi Biblia) pero Dios, a través de pastor Dante, me ha mostrado que tengo que estar lista en todo momento para presentar el Reino de Cristo a toda criatura! La mejor forma es seguir memorizando las enseñanzas bíblicas y utilizarlas en forma práctica cuando Dios te lo muestre! If you are looking for God, he is here. I have been attending for 4 years and every time I felt God's presence at River arena. Pastor Dante is down to earth and tells it like it is. His sermons are about real life, your day to day walk with Jesus, and the grace of God. He sprinkles in a lot of humor and he isn't scared to talk about taboo subjects, especially in our Hispanic culture where it is hidden or frowned upon. I always see how busy he is with so many projects but still humble with his congregation. I really love the church. When I first came to this church I was really broken over many bad situations in my life. Slowly I gave my control to God and just as slowly (maybe slower) because God is funny sometimes, but I got a second chance at life. Pastor Dante and all his staff are not pushovers and allow members to stand on their own feet. No one here is spoon fed but they are really interested in your walk with Jesus. There are no harsh words or condemnation coming down on you but things do get revealed to you through the word of God. Personally I appreciate Pastor Danny. He always says hi, he has kind words for me, asks me how I liked the service and truly cares. I see him interact with everyone and it's really nice to be surrounded by caring brothers and sisters here. His wife sings during worship at River and i really believe in her lifelong walk with Jesus, she is a good role model for any woman or christian alike. It is easy to see flaws or find issues with anything in life, Pastor Dante is ridiculed a lot online but if you are looking for a church - anyone is welcome here. Pastor Dante believes that our church is like a hospital for the soul, he says some members are on IVs, others are taking medicine and some are about to get downgraded to another unit.. We congregate here to recognize that Jesus has already healed us and we walk together until we are with him forever. read more

I walked in and the usher looks at my bible and stops me saying "Sister I just want to congratulate you for bringing your bible to Church" and I thought that was odd considering it's a church and you should bring your bible... the fact that he noticed makes it scary. During service I likes the worship but some songs I did not know. During preaching Pastor Dante Gebel never opened his bible nor the verses where projected because there was none, he did paraphrased 1 verse that I noticed because I've read it before and don't get me wrong he is a great speaker but he simply didn't quotes scripture at all, then I realized why the usher was so surprised of me bringing a bible... because you don't need one there. I just moved to the area so I'm looking for a church but river arena is definitely not the one. read more

I love the services and never thought I would need t call the help services. I was going through a lot and I called the consejeria number available 24 hrs and I have never heard back from them. I feel very disappointed because I just converted to Christianity and I heard nothing but great things regarding this church. I will continue to come to church but I will not reach out when I'm in need of help. I do not have any friends and thought I could count on my church. read more

I went to river church for the first time yesterday (11/23/19). They had a conference that was absolutely amazing. I don't speak Spanish and this is a Spanish church. Let me start with this church was pretty big, but the order held by the leaders and those serving made it feel like home. (They provided translation for the conference) It's hard to find a church that has good production and facilitate a real presence of god. I'm not talking about an espresso shot of Jesus rather a real invasion of His love and presence. I would encourage those looking for home in Christ. There is no perfect church, but this church strives for it. read more

We arrived at 10:30am for the 11am service. I went to drop off toddler (1-2 age range). At checkin, they didn't take my picture or ask for ID. I was given a handwritten label for my baby and a number that I was to use to identify my baby when I came back for pickup. I thought it was odd he wasn't in the computer, and through the whole service wondered how easily the "security" could be breached". That made me really uncomfortable, so I definitely won't leave him there again. I asked for the lactation room, so I could breastfeed my baby, but there was no where private. I sat on stairs and fed him while people walked up and down. Pretty lame considering the importance of breastfeeding. Anyway, I checked out the 0-12 mo room; it was so tiny there was only one rocking chair and a row of swings and bouncy chairs for babies along each wall. The area for 1-2 year olds seemed overcrowded. The ladies working in the kids areas were nice, but a number of kids were crying. The church doesn't allow photography (of any kind--not just limiting flash photography). I think this is a good thing. It's so distracting to others. The congregation seemed very nice, genuine, and friendly. They are also changing to two services which should help with the overcrowding issues. Service ended about 1:50pm, so we were onsite over 3 hours. The service was fast paced, upbeat, and a special experience. read more

One word... WOW!!!! First timer Sunday Jan 24 & will make River Church my home. Can't describe how amazing the feeling is. Holy Spirit is present when Mr Gebel the pastor is preaching.
