Found this practice online, and decided to check it out, but ended up regretting I did! The staff is wonderful , Pam(front office), in particular, she's always very friendly and caring the same goes for the Dentist's assistants, and Dr Barry on the FIRST visit. However, the second visit, things didn't go so well 1) as Dr Barry was about to get started the procedure( which was to replace 2 old fillings), he told me he saw a very minor point of cavity getting started in between the 2 teeth I went in to have the fillings replaced. He said they "somehow" "missed it" in the X ray... but before getting the actual procedure started, he offered to have it removed and said it would be a "very little" change in price, but never told me how much this change would be, and I unfortunately, failed to ask. Well, the point of cavity might have been "little" but the price change, WASNT! As I also don't believe they missed it in the X ray, since it was a very thorough computerized x ray. In fact, this "minor fix", ended up being an almost, 40% increase on my already expensive bill 2) Dr Barry almost done, when a very sharp tool(maybe a scissors, I couldn't see it), he was working with, slipped out of his hand, clipping and cutting my inner lip, resulting in immediate swelling and bleeding! To my disappointment, Dr Barry played it off like nothing had just happened, didn't even apologize! He did rush to contain the bleeding but that still got me bothered. I understand, accidents do happen, is an unfortunate part of life. But, accidents like this one, can and should be prevented, specifically when things are been rushed, which was the impression I got at the end, when someone approached him, and told him he had another patient waiting... anyway, they lost me as a patient! read more

They are always very professional and nice. My husband and I both have been going here for a few years and love everyone there. I had been suffering for years with an odd issue where my tongue would swell for no apparent reason, then go back to normal for no reason. Dr. Montz asked a bunch of seemingly odd questions during my new patient appointment. When asked about allergies, I mentioned metal. He seemed surprised but we moved on. During the exam, he noticed my fillings we very worn and appeared to be decades old. I told him I only got them 2 years prior. He had an idea that maybe the allergy to metal and my tongue swelling and the metal fillings were all related. We scheduled (and completed) removing and replacing all my fillings, one quad at a time, with ceramic fillings. (nope, not covered...). It worked! no more weird issues with my tongue. NOBODY figured it out before he did. That is called thinking outside the box instead of assuming that if they never heard of something, that it isn't real. read more

I had a chipped front tooth that was noticeable. On my last appointment, Dr Baig suggested that he put a small filling infront to correct the chip. i agreed but was a bit skeptical about the outcome. I asked my hygienist, Karla and she told me there was no excessive drilling or loss of the front tooth and I would never see the filling. I had faith in both my Dentist and longtime hygienist so I booked a future appointment. Today is my appointment and I was very nervous but Dr Baig assured me I would be pleased with the results. In a short time , and no pain. the end result was revealed. It is totally remarkable! My front tooth looks absolutely, excellent!! Dr. Baig's hands were like an artist restoring a painting. Hi: I always used to panic when I would go for my cleanings and dental work. At River City Dentistry I am very comfortable and I no longer have that fear that would make me stress out to go. My dental Hygienists is awesome. She is patient with me and does a great job. Dr. Baig is a very special dentist. He is very kind and very considerate , answers my questions, any concerns that I may have before and even during procedures. The front office staff was wonderful and Carla was the best! She was so informative, nice and gentle with my teeth! Dr. Montz did not speak one word to me. He talked about me in front of me but not to me. I had some issues that needed referred out and he didn't bother even reassuring me or explaining. Carla did it all! I'm in healthcare and his demeanor is not inviting. The office is clean and beautiful and Caroline in the front is great but Dr. Montz needs to at least SPEAK to his PATIENTS. First of all - the hygienist Denise is excellent- she did an amazing job and the two relatively new dentists to this practice are meticulous and super thorough. I have been going here forever and I really adored the original dentist Dr.Montz and was sad to see him retire - I really do think the new dentists are equally as awesome. Great experience from the Front Desk staff, the x-ray nurse, the hygienist, the doctor and scheduler. I was reluctant of going to the dentist after many years but my wife push me to go, she is a patient of this practice as well. Dr, Baig is so personable! He greets you by name , tells you what he is going to do & proceeds with such confidence & has an extremely gentle hand. I never even felt the nova cane needle. My husband and I both got our first dental cleaning at River City today. We saw several people while we were in the office. Everyone was very professional, kind, and competent. The evaluation was quite thorough. We both felt as though the dentist made reasonable recommendations based on our needs. (The did not try to upsell at all, which was appreciated). Overall, my experience was pleasant here at River City Dentistry. The staff was professional and kind. The dentist seemed knowledgeable. The hygienist offered a treatment plan after assessing my mouth and she was professional as well. There is somewhat of a personal touch feel as a new patient.
