O M G…read more Pretty sure this is the most gorgeous place I've ever camped. And, having spent most of my life camping in the PNW, that is really saying something. Gorge Campground is located near the tiny outpost of Camp Sherman, along the postcard-worthy Metolius River. The campground itself is small, but the sites are large. You need to reserve online at the stroke of midnight on January 1 of each year, and believe me the premium sites along the river fill up FAST. But it's worth it because these sites are ginormous, with plenty of space for a small travel trailer and/or a couple of tents. There's a trail that runs through the campground, and along the river for a few miles in each direction. There are also pit toilets and the area is regularly patrolled by local rangers - so it was all very safe. The beauty and quiet here are too much to describe in a Yelp review. So just pack up your tent and GO. You won't regret it. I can't wait to go back! Pro tip: there is no running water at the campground, so you need to bring what you need. We stopped at the Camp Sherman RV Park and were able to fill our tank with fresh water. Some sites say there is also water at the nearby Allingson Campground, but I was not able to confirm this. Oh, and the Camp Sherman Store has pretty much anything you could possibly need on your trip!

The first review basically says it all, but here's my take…read more Been coming out here to the camp Sherman area since childhood, and it never disappoints. Getting a spot out here is hard, so book right when they open reservations. We got two spots, the premium river and one just down the way, and they are big. Lots of space for trailer or 2-3 tents and cars. Nice fire pits and very clean restroom (gender neutral), which I like for many reasons, but the most practical is, you don't have to wait, if not comfortable. People are very respectful here, didn't hear a generator at night--which is very nice, and like many campgrounds, you can feel secure leaving for hours and all your gear is safe, but may get investigated by ground squirrels (see pic). The river is beautiful and it's so fun watching the fisherman. If you'd like to hike, there's a trail along the river to Wizard Falls or the other way as well, but keep in mind, it's a little confusing with the large resort near by, that you can't cross, (if going down stream) signage isn't the best and the drop is steep. The camp store is very close and a nice Mexican/Peruvian place to eat at, if you'd like to have a meal away from camp. There is no water at the campsite, but the two down the road have running water to fill your cubes or bottles, or as mentioned, the camp store. This is a very special place, and I hope more people discover and enjoy it.

We've been coming to Bend-Sisters Garden RV Resort for many years because it's one of the nicest RV…read moreresorts in Central Oregon. The grounds are beautifully maintained, the landscaping is outstanding, the restrooms are consistently clean, and the staff is generally friendly and helpful. It's obvious that a great deal of pride goes into the upkeep. Our one significant concern is the site assignment policy. For the past five years, we've requested a specific site when reserving a full year in advance, and each year we've been reassigned upon arrival. This year, we were placed next to the highway, with significant road and foot traffic noise. When we asked about it, we were told that larger sites are sometimes held for bigger RVs, but we later saw a much smaller rig in the site we had requested, which made the policy difficult to understand. We absolutely understand that managing reservations is complicated, but when all sites cost the same, it does seem reasonable that long-time guests who've reserved a year ahead should have a fair shot at the site they requested. This has become frustrating enough that, for the first time in many years, my wife and I are seriously considering staying elsewhere. That's disappointing because we truly enjoy this resort and would rather continue returning. We hope management takes another look at this policy, because fixing it would make an already wonderful place even better.

He even brought our kids glow wands and glow balloons Friday night. It is very quiet and much more spacious than the other private rv sites we have seen. Bathrooms are spotless. The host ruined our trip for our son, if you break a "rule" they will charge you $100.00 then $200.00 for breaking another rule and you have to leave immediately. Host "patrols" on golf cart and will come into your camp to chastise you like a child. Host will make you extremely uncomfortable, and makes you feel like you are being supervised verses being a helpful host. When backing our trailer in we were screamed at and stared at by people who live there and made it very clear we were unwelcome from the beginning. If you want to run a trailer park then run one, but don't open it to the public and nickel and dime families. You have a God complex and act like a knock off mall security guard. Needless to say we won't be back. If you have a family, a dog of any kind or are a part of the LGBTQ this place is not right for you and I hope your vacation does not get ruined if you decide to go. And to the camp host get a life and have the day you deserve.

This isn't a luxury park with water slides or lazy rivers but this is the place if you want to relax and enjoy nature. It is lovely park with grass, trees and a creek. There are trees and bushes between sites making you feel more private. Price is very good. It's easy to get to off I-5. There are big rig sites and many are extra long allowing you to stay hooked up in your site for a quick overnight. The most important, for me, is to support a family owned business and not a big corporation. Service is wonderful. They have a website and are so nice when you call because you prefer talking to a person. If they don't answer because there are out of the office, they call back which isn't always the case at other parks.

We were on the road and couldn't get away from overgrown bushes due to other vehicles in their sites. When we got to our site we looked at our three month old Brinkley to see scratches down the side of it. We were furious and no one was in the office to talk to. This place is very tight when driving through. People have their vehicles past their drive space and there's not a lot of room once you disconnect from your RV. Ours is 42' long plus the length of the truck. We had to angle the truck to park it. Guess what they were doing the day we were leaving. You guessed it, a tree service was there cutting down branches and trimming the giant bushes that were overgrown. Not sure how that helps us
