Sweet ladies and reasonable prices! I saw a few bad reviews on here, but I agree with another 5-star review that they do not depict the services here. River Nails was lovely! I came here after a recommendation from a colleague and brought my mom and sister for mani/pedis a few days before my sister's wedding. Environment: We came pretty early on a Wednesday so there was only one other woman getting a mani/pedi on the other end of the boutique. The place had a nice charm and a few large screen TVs, clean and professional. They sat us in the first three per chairs and started all three pedicures at once, which was great. The water was slightly lukewarm, but my specialist Wendy I believe asked my preference and heated it right up when I told her I liked my water HOT :) Manicures: I'd spent years getting my nails done every two weeks that it had become really fragile, so since I'd just strengthened and grown out my natural nails again over the last few months, I stuck to a classic manicure with French tips. My mom and sister both got SNS. My mom with French tips and my sister got the prettiest pearl white with her matching white toes because after all, bride vibes 8) Pedicures: We all got the Royal Mani/Pedi, where we could pick "flavors" of scents. I picked grapefruit for those "feeling exhausted" and my mom/sister both picked lavender for "feeling stressed." Both smelled good, but I could smell the lavender over grapefruit from where I was sitting and it was heavenly! Definitely the one I'll pick next time! The pedicure also included a callous exfoliant treatment, sugar scrub, and deep feet massage, and hot stone reflexology. They wrapped our legs in warmed towels, which felt so amazing after the deep feet massages that I could have fallen asleep. So relaxing! Overall, a wonderful experience! All the ladies were so sweet and did great jobs. Mom loved her first pedicure and SNS experience! I will certainly be coming back again and bringing mom with me, thanks River Nails! read more

Terrible job! It's uneven and thicker in some places than others. I had to tell like three times to fix it and she still did a horrible job. I def got racist vibes. If you are a person of color DO NOT come here. They do not sanitize the utensils between customers. She didn't even ask me how my day was going but she was super sweet and talkative to all regulars (non melanated people if you catch my drift) so there was no language barrier. She pulled out the hot towel but by the time it got to me it wasn't hot because she was too busy helping someone else. Always have the most excellent service from Wendy and her girls . The spa is beautiful , chairs are wonderful and services beautiful and excellent . They are the sweetest most patient people . Even with my paralytic disabled daughter they have taken the time with her to polish each finger that she cannot stretch out . I have been coming here for about 4 years , I always feel confident that it is safe clean and beautiful , a luxury experience with people who treat us more like a friend than a client. This place is horrible. First they insisted on saying that I needed to get dip, however I repeatedly said I just wanted gel. They kept saying my nails were too short, which I don't understand why my nails would be long enough for dip but not gel (funny that gel is just the more expensive option). The polish also chipped 2 hours after I left. i used their new customer 10$ off and the lady was trying to refuse it. Don't go here. They're rude and they definitely used old nail polish on my nails. We moved here from Fl. Tried several nail salons here in GA. They were all basically the same as Fl. One day my BFF took me here to River Nails, where I now get my acrylic gel nails done since about 5 yrs ago with Wendy. I was so impressed with their service, their quality, accuracy and friendliness Ive been going there ever since. On the way there I pass at least over 20 nail salons and it takes me almost half hour to get there. After going to River Nails, Ive Never even been tempted to try another salon. In Fl us girls were Always trying new nail salons because honestly most all of them rated 1 star service and Im being generous... Our nails came out ok, but never really great. No one ever even said hello in English to any of us at any of All the salons we would try. In the end one ends up just settling because they were all mostly the same. River Nails is not your basic boring nail salon. The owner's kindness alone says A Lot about River Nails. Bonus is they really care how satisfied you are with their service. You will never leave having to just settle with an average nail service... PS:Ive seen a few negative reviews and honestly I don't have a clue Why they were neg reviews. Theres not one time Ive been there and heard anyone complain. They communicate with you. Plus they ask you as they are doing your nails if you like it or is there anything you want done different. I am very disappointed with their work ethic. An older female who did my nails painted on top of my cuticles then tried to cut it off and made it look even worst. Two of my nails chipped the same day. I complained and they asked me to pay only for taking off my SNS but the lady that did my nails didn't even apologize or tried to fix them. She seemed angry and didn't want to admit that she did a bad job. It's been only few days since I got them done and I lost one of the nails and as you can see in the photos all of them don't look great. She also did a manicure to me but wasn't able to cut extra skin off (as you can see in the photo). I feel like I would do my own nails better then she did. read more

Not worth it. I just needed a polish change, I was barely greeted, place seemed dirty, disorganized and polish colors were very limited. I was told to sit on a table but then they made me sit at another one, without even apologizing. I'm not one to get mad over little things like this but it's common manners... She painted my nails and put the top coat on horribly, didn't spread it evenly and it looked awful after it dried. I was charged $7 for the polish change, and had to tip so $10. The service was poorly executed and of course she didn't clean up the corners and looks like I did it myself, although I probably would've done a better job, for free. I just had an appointment here and I'm very impressed! It's a shame there are two old negative reviews bringing their stars down because this is actually a great place! It's clean inside with comfortable spa chairs that actually give you a massage unlike other places where their chairs never work. The owner is so friendly and welcoming and gives a great pedicure. I got a deluxe mani/pedi for $38, which I think is very affordable. Overall, I feel bad there are two old negative reviews because in all honestly I highly recommend this place!!! read more

This has been the ONLY nail salon that I have used for over 20 years! I enjoy coming here because they use good products, give excellent service, and I never feel rushed, even when it is super busy. When I have friends or family visiting, I always bring them here for a special treat. Everyone I bring appreciates that we're always grouped together, so we can visit. My granddaughter LOVES coming here because she gets treated like a princess. I appreciate how I don't get pressured to select an upgrade, even though many services are offered. Finally! A nail salon where I can go in, ask for a manicure and pedicure, and get the manicure started when I sit down in the pedicure chair. Even better, it's over and done with before they begin to polish my toenails. Thank heaven I don't have to sit and wait for my nails to dry an additional 15-20 minutes after my toenails are done. I don't get high-maintenance manicures (clean 'em and give me clear polish), so I really don't like waiting! Wow, where do I even begin? Look this... for someone that's supposed to have gone to school for this career field you really don't know how to do you job. The sides are not even cleaned up and she didn't even ask me if I wanted to file my nails just went for it to where it looks short and my nails where long and healthy. I couldn't even have stopped her because she was to busy chatting away on her Bluetooth to a friend. This was the owner that did my nails te one that sits in the front knitting and has short hair looks like a boys hair cut! It's sad cause I work 2 doors down from them and I would even refer any of my clients to go and get there nails done with them! If I could put no starts I would! Stopped in for a gel manicure on a weekday around 5pm. It was somewhat busy, but they seated me with no wait. I believe it was the owner who did my nails, and she was very sweet and friendly, but extremely rushed. She flew through cleaning up my cuticles just to the bare minimum. I do like my gel polish and they had a ton of colors, and she did keep my length like I asked, just filing them some to shape them up. She rubbed lotion on my hands for about 15 seconds then just wiped it off with a hot towel so she could stop. HAHA. This cost $28. It will be interesting to see how long my polish lasts, but I would probably try somewhere else next time. read more

really appreciated the fast service, but it came at the price of quality. i got sns and wendy didnt even cover ur the entire nail in powder. after she was done she went to her desk to watch netflix. it looks bumpy and crappy on my nails. i asked for rounded and it looks like somewhere between rounded and square which is more ugly than i can put into words. i do not reccomend this for sns but my pedicure turned out great. read more

I really hate to have a mani pedi, but do so for grooming purposes. I've gone to many places in the East Cobb area to get this service and always end up wishing I had gone to River Nails instead. They always greet me like I'm their favorite customer (although I'm sure at the most I look vaguely familiar to them) and make me feel welcome to be there. Their massage chairs always work, and they do the manicure at the same time as the pedicure, which saves me time. The establishment is clean and the staff is friendly. The absolute worst mani/pedi ever! The water was cold, the pace much too rushed and the service was much more like a "polish change" than an complete mani/pedi. Service was good, but make sure they cannot adjust the tip amount. I left a $6 tip and new what my total was. I go to review my statements, and realized that I got charged an additional $20.00. Knowing what I wrote as the total, I knew that the cashier could have easily written in herself an additional $20 tip and change the total amount. read more
