This place has a very cool bike obstacle course. They have 2 different levels. We walked to see the water and I seen a fish jump out of the water. There is a lot of shade while we were walking. I did go in to the art and gift shop and the drawing was fantastic. I was talking to the lady that works there and she said they change every month a different artist so do check them out. I would come back to this park and recommend anyone in the Redding area to go.

I think the fountain goes off at 6p and sometimes its entirely too HOT in Redding to be out there in the hours before that time, not to mention working parents may be at work thru the weekdays. I fear that the rocks on display, ( actual rocks )that kids jump dangerously, make it difficult to sit through,thinking a child may get seriously injured. The rocks should be made of foam or astro turf of some kind. Making it safer for some of our fearless children.

They have a large lap pool with depths ranging from 4 ft to 12 ft as well as 2 diving boards plus 1 high dive. They also have two smaller pools, one 3 ft deep and a 1 ft deep. Life guards are on duty at all pools where people are swimming. There are decent restrooms, and plenty of outdoor, wall mounted shower / rinse off stations. We noticed a lot of bikers right away, which was neat to see other people and that it wasn't too secluded. I took my son in the stroller, and I would say it was not stroller friendly. There is a ton of rocks, sticks, branches, tree trunks and root systems all over the actual trail you walk on, which were beautiful to look at- but not as enjoyable to steer around.

You can find beginner (green) trails and now as of recently, you can ride a double black (pro) trail. Great place, plenty of opportunity to build more trails. If you're in Redding and you mountain bike this is the best that Redding has to offer imo.
