    Excellent atmosphere.

What a great place to golf, eat and enjoy yourself. Amy is an excellent host. If you're considering a membership her energy, kindness and passion will sell you on it. The first tee box is epic and it's a fun course that's easy to walk. Friendly group of people that really make you feel welcomed. Riverview Golf & Country Club is fantastic.

This is a two parter. Day one: lunch at the restaurant. Ordered the gnocchi soup. And small Cobb salad. The recipe should be changed immediately. Gloppy, unappetizing, hidden dumplings. God awful. This out the recipe with some cream or milk. Make it a creamy broth, rather then a cement mixture which will harden if left out over 30 minutes. The Cobb salad was one of the best I have ever had. Even though everyone else ordered the poppy seed, I got the thousand. It was very good. Didn't have a Riesling, ordered a Diet Coke instead. Day two: Happy 90th to my grandma.....In law. Event upstairs with 40 guests. Meal was chicken, rice , poppy seed salad, broccoli garbanzo bean salad, mushroom ravioli and bread (no butter) If the majority of the event will have 90% attendance of 60 years old +, put butter with the rolls ;) it will save the younger folk a headache. Chose the gewürztraminer and it was a perfect addition to my dinner. Both times the staff was sweet. I was happy to see them stop by the grandma in laws table and wish them well and catch up. Nice to see they are in good hands.

A view of the course from the Snack Shack.

. While I'll admit that wheat beers are appealing when it's 451 degrees Fahrenheit on the golf course, at least make one of 'em a good unfiltered heffeweise

This park is primarily a massive open grass space, but there are also sports fields, tennis courts, and I think I saw some disc golf baskets. Because we were there for an event, I didn't notice a homelessness issue that other reviewers mentioned, nor did I have to use the park's restrooms, so I can't speak to those. Parking can get full quickly, especially on an event day, and there doesn't seem to be any extra parking nearby. It's also kind of tricky to enter and exit since the parking lot is long and only goes down one side of the park, from what I could tell.

I used to be a regular visitor to this park. The main reason was because I'd come to hit the tennis…read morecourts and play with family and friends. There is also a growing and thriving pickleball community here. The park is large and has beautiful fields and other offerings for people who want to relax or be active. CARD offers sports programs for adults and children to have a good time while learning how to play a new sport. Now, there is a big problem here: the homeless population! As one reviewer mentioned here, there is a noticeable number of homeless individuals in this park. And they sit or lie in their area they claimed theirs, while watching you, thus making you feel unbearably uncomfortable. Then they'll wander around and ask you for money. This is why I'm afraid to be here too late. You can also smell some sort of drug in the air at times. Bathrooms are as gross as they come. I've had to use them before. Often there is a homeless person in there doing who knows what. Without all the homeless individuals, this would be an incredible park.

If you love animals this is a good neighborhood for you. Lots of deer, raccoons, opossums and coyotes. The deer will come right up on the patio to lay in the shade or eat my cat's food. There is an POA/HOA so there are rules, but most of them make sense, like keep grass down to prevent fires. The drive up and down Lake California Road is only about 5-6 miles and I use it to relax and change gears. Redding is roughly 10 miles away which separates L.C. from the craziness of the city. Overall a nice place to live!!

The community is bounded by Cottonwood Creek and the Sacramento River, and built around a freshwater lake fed by the Sacramento River. Lots of planned weekly activities occur at the clubhouse, that overhangs the lake. The club house has deck views of surrounding Cattle ranches, orchards, farms and the peaks of Lassen National Park. $2.00 drinks at the bar makes for a great place to meet neighbors and chat. Mini-market, and Lakeside Pizza ( and bakery) are inside the community. Good local schools, and a historic downtown in adjacent Cottonwood. Historic Cottonwood features darling antique shops, family restaurants, financial services, appliances, beauty parlors, and a great grocery store. And the locally famous OK Corral has weekend music. More Cows, horses and deer in the area than people. 15 minutes to Red Bluff, or Redding. A super Walmart, and Factory Outlet mall 8 miles away with a great Movie theatre.
