I deposited the money into my credit union checking account to keep it separate from our usual bill paying account. We decided to take a last minute trip to Hawaii, but the bank is holding the deposit for 10 days. They are releasing a little over $250 today, 3 days after the deposit. Tomorrow they will release a little over half the money (which means they have gotten their money by now) and the remainder will not be released until next Monday. By the time the money is released, we will have missed out on making our flights as only 4 seats are left on the flight we need to book. Not only are they holding the check and making interest off of my money, but they deposited it to the Trusaver account, not the checking account which I selected to deposit the money to. How can a bank get away with doing whatever they want with your money. Spoke to the supervisor who gave me a lot of "I understand you are upset", and "I'm sorry for the inconvenience" talk, but that is a load of bull. If you were sorry, or understood, since the check has cleared, you would make my money available to me. Closing this account immediately when the funds clear!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS BANK!
