Realllllllly large park! They have so many activities! You can go kayaking, biking, riding, walking, bird watching, everything! Every Thursday at 9 am there is a tour that you can sign up for. I loved the history signs.

I am a native Floridian who just discovered this park. I had no idea I was missing out on such a wonderful place to adventure! Whether you are looking to bike, hike, or kayak, this place has it all. This is my absolutely favorite place to kayak currently. This place instantly transports you to a jungle and makes you feel like you're on a vacation. From wild growing flowers to waterfalls, this location is every kayakers dream! You can rent a kayak or bring your own. There are two kayak drops, making it very easy to get on the water. Once you begin, it's pretty smooth sailing. You can take it easy and sight see. I actually saw a snake, a few gators, and even an owl! It was quite a sight. The further down the river you go, it becomes more challenging. There are many roots and fallen trees, so be prepared for some obstacles. This makes it a challenging but fun course. The way back usually has a semi strong current, so keep this in mind if you are new to kayaking. I have also ridden the bike trails and can say they are incredible! There are so many intertwined trails that make the overall experience exciting. You can go for a short ride, or keep hitting new trails and extend your ride. There are also many other hikers and bikers! Very clearly marked signs and directions so you'll more than likely not lose your way. Plenty of pavilions to stop and rest if needed. Saw some very cool birds and otters!

This is a great place to walk. The paths are wide and labeled well so you don't get lost. Dogs are not allowed. Google maps also helps if you want a map. There were a few deer in the early morning. If you're looking for birds, there aren't a lot here. I only saw one port a potty. There's a horse trail which is awesome!

I partake in a lot of 5K races, many are held at Riverbend Park. This park is beautiful and has numerous trails for bicycling, walking or running. Additionally, this is a great place to kayak... unless you're not a fan of gators. There is a lot of wildlife to be seen here. Often, I see deer when running and once crossing the street. Unfortunately, there were no deer sightings today.

This was an incredible kayaking journey! My family and I have kayaked a ton throughout our lives/vacations and this was the most unique experience. Prepare for about 20 minutes to check in and learn everything. Very smooth relaxing water Recommendations: -take a photo of the map and ask for explicit directions as the map doesn't always show every turn -eat beforehand, bring water -take heavy duty bug spray with you -wear sunscreen/hat/clothes -be okay with falling in -Bring a dry bag for electronics/keys as ocean kayaks (look it up) are generally easier to flip over, but there isn't more than 3 feet of water and mainly 2 feet of water for a majority. Not that you will fall in, but they are less stable then regular kayaks. You see wildlife (gators birds turtles) An incredible experience. Will defintiley be back!!

Wow so many trails! Beautiful, saw some deer! My main focus was nature, walking, peace - it was amazing!

This is my favorite park in South Florida that I've found so far. The trails are very well maintained, with tons of paths to explore. Every time I've gone on walks here, I've seen tons of wildlife - birds, deer, raccoons, turtles, and squirrels! Beware that if you decide to picnic, some of the wildlife have become accustomed to humans feeding them, and will get close (squirrels especially!). The signage is well placed, so you will not get lost even though the park is expansive. I've also been kayaking in Riverbend which was a great experience! They have single and tandem kayaks, as well as canoes. Note: There is a dam that you will have to either get out and pull your kayak over, or ride the kayak over (dangerous) and there isn't staff to help at that part. Parking is generally easy to come by, but there is overflow parking on the grass if needed. You can easily spend 2 hours here just exploring the park.

One of my favorite places to do a photoshoot. There's so many endless options to choose from. I'm updating this review since I've now also done a few weddings inside the park as well! If you're going for a natural Florida look that is adorable, def look into Riverbend! It's also a wonderful place to go to ride bikes, fish or kayak. I've been lucky enough to spot some gators and other cool wildlife. Highly recommend if you want to see some lush greenery Florida has to offer. PS. Wear bug spray. The mosquitoes are prehistoric sized and thirsty during sunset time LOL

Such an awesome experience at river bend park with my family! This place is very low key and beautiful to spend any day of the week relaxing and lounging. We went and rented a canoe for three people for around 70$ for two hours. They also have kayaks For rent a little cheaper. We saw a gator a manatee ! Overall a cool get away in the area where you can unwind and enjoy nature at its finest. We Will be back soon!

This is an awesome park for running, walking, biking, kayaking and picnics! Over the years I've visited Riverbend on a weekly basis and always enjoy the park. They have clearly marked trails with signs and markers along the route. They recently improved the bathrooms and parking area. Free entrance and parking. If you go at dusk or dawn you can find deer roaming the park!

Lots of trails, great for bike rides. It's a nice day to rent a canoe and paddle up and down the canals with the kids.

Is the canoeing safe in this park ? I will be a newbie to this sport but I'm a little nervous with the alligators and all 😬

Its a wild and scenic area, that said, i have seen alligators in the lox. I would consider it safe to enjoy the water taking the normal alligator precautions.

I've honestly never found another place quite like it for families. The water is calm, shallow, and sheltered, with no waves or strong current, making it ideal for time with our three-year-old. She loved playing at the water's edge, and the tranquil conditions made it much easier to relax without worrying about waves or tides. The setting is also beautiful, with sandy areas along both sides of the water, natural trees that provide real shade, and plenty of spots if you prefer to sit out in the sun. The park felt incredibly clean and well-cared-for, with picnic benches and grills throughout, public restrooms nearby, and a lifeguard tower, though no lifeguard was on duty when we visited. There is also a pirate-ship playground, which is a fun bonus for families if kids want a break from the water. One tip: the rubber surface gets very hot in the sun, so flip-flops or other shoes are a good idea. One of the highlights is watching boats come and go from the harbor from nearly every vantage point, giving the area an authentic Florida vibe. Crossing the bridge over the lagoon's mouth also leads directly to the beach. What truly impressed us was how welcoming and inclusive the park felt. We heard multiple languages, saw diverse families and groups enjoying themselves, and everyone seemed relaxed, content, and authentic. The genuine, easygoing atmosphere made the park even more memorable. It felt like a blend of locals and visitors, both welcoming and family-oriented, with immaculate grounds. Although parking fills up, it never feels hectic. We've visited many beaches in Florida and beyond, but this one genuinely stands out. We plan to return as often as possible.

But this time I kept going and found another river lookout, this one with a boardwalk that actually went out over the River. After that, the path went into another part of woods. It meandered along until we reached a tiny boardwalk bridge over a slightly marshy area and then found we had reached the very end of the park, where it intersected with a main road near the highway. Once again, we had the park all to ourselves, which was a treat. These days, with so little rain, so many plants looked brown and lifeless. We saw a gopher tortoise and a black snake.

Mangroves grow along the waters edge and there is a lookout pavilion and a fishing pier. If you come during the winter you might be able to catch sight of manatees in the C-18 canal. This part of the trail backs a neighborhood and you can enter from the street to join the trail here. It was mostly shaded which I appreciated and the three distinct parts of the trail made the hike interesting. I plan to come back during the colder months to see if I can spot a manatee.
