I love doing my own research (which he supports) and as a result I occasionally, inadvertently challenge him with obscure pharmacological questions I read in a random science journal article -- but Dr. Dale is a walking textbook. Yes, he doesn't submit your insurance, but when you get to only needing quarterly med maintenance appointments, it's totally affordable. My normal BCBSTX gov marketplace discounted healthcare coverage still covers my medications, but I've also used the drug coupons conveniently included in the equally convenient auto-text you receive when Dr. Dale submits prescriptions to your pharmacy. (Also, I have noticed the "submit claim" button on my healthcare provider's website, who is constant improving their website UX -- all things considered it's possible using insurance is simple as paying my insurance bill? The money feels so well-spent I never think to investigate!) He builds you up. Somehow in a brief conversation -- that rarely feels medical in nature -- he identifies the one thing you need to hear that day and says it. Things you didn't even realize were stressing you. It's like he has intuition super powers. I seriously leave every appointment the happiest person on the planet. Comfortable and confident. Easy parking. He doesn't have a front desk person, which is nice in many ways, but I really appreciate not needing to repeat conversations about appointment times. Instead he sends you a calendar event invite reminder for your next appointment as you set it. Billing is automated. He responds to emails same or next day. The only times I've waited to see him were appointments I arrived early to. Quite an all-around efficient business he is running. I found him on Yelp after moving here from Los Angeles. Short on meds from the move, he saw me quickly without issue. I'm LGBTQ so it's always important for me to find someone who understands the culture. He has been nothing but unflinchingly welcoming. He worked with me in planning continued treatment while traveling Europe for work for over a year. When I had a boarder-line stalker ex post breakup, Dr. Dale even checked my ex's social media that month to make sure there were no bad signs. FWIW, I was being treated for depression and anxiety. Once that cleared up ASD1 and ADHD were identified to be the cause of my virtually life-long depression and occasionally social-phobia level anxiety. Today I know I have a healthy brain. I have experienced the triggers and easily moved on from them. I'm more creative and balanced. Since seeing Dr. Dale my sluggish life has started to transform, I snagged a dream job after years of interviews, I have become financially secure for the first time in my 34 years of life, better than I'd ever have imagined. I used to be a heavy drinker and today I don't even crave it when I'm around drinking. I am comfortable and no longer feel the *need* I used to feel in almost any social or public environment. When I do crave beer it is like someone turned off whatever that switch was that made me drink them so quickly and in college-life quantity. I usually forget forget I opened a beer halfway through! Im not really sure why it had to happen at the time of my appointment. Sadly, I had to make the difficult decision to put my pet down. I reached out to see if they could offer any leniency with their strict cancellation policy. They had already taken a deposit ($50, if I remember correctly), but then charged me an additional $100 for the cancellation. I tried to explain my situation, but it felt like I was talking to an ai robot person on the phone who kept saying the same thing over and over like a horrible broken record. This kind of response is unfortunately pretty common and probably not surprising. I did find a new friendly psychiatrist who doesn't even have that policy, or atleast after the VERY FIRST TIME. I was misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder within 5 minutes of the assessment at 17! they took advantage of me not having the knowledge of mental illnesses, and pumped full of different drugs for 4 years that just made my symptoms worse and that gave me bipolar symptoms! i am not bipolar i have an anxiety disorder and adhd! they refused to listen to me when i tried to explain bipolar doesn't fit countless of times throughout the 4 years. they refused to give me any form of real anxiety medication and their reasoning was "they dont want a lawsuit." they do not care about their patients, you will wait for three hours in the waiting room for a 10-minute appointment. they just want to collect a check and send you on your way. they NEVER answer the phone or give you your medication on time, i went through withdrawals on very serious meditations EVERY month for 5 months until i gave up on the establishment. their front desk is extremely rude and the place seriously looks like it is from the 1600s, as they clearly don't clean their furniture, i saw a spider in the waiting room. they overcharged me thousands of dollars and REFUSED to fix it even when i presented CLEAR proof.

Do not reinstate this man! As a US Army Veteran, I moved to Katy and needed a psychiatrist near my residence, and accordingly I called to see if they were accepting new patients. After hours of trying to reach someone, I was rudely transferred to Dr. Renazco; I explained exactly what medications I was on, and that I didn't want to change anything, as I had been on them for years and knew what worked for MY body. He agreed that he would not change anything (a complete fabrication of what actually happened, as he cares about HIS profits)--had I known I never would have made an appointment with him) and agreed to see me as a new patient. On the first appt, he immediately wanted to start dropping the dose of one of my anxiety meds. I reluctantly agreed. The next phone appt he dropped it down to half. I had horrific withdrawal symptoms. Suicidal thoughts, severe depression, crying and anxiety went through the roof. So, by the next phone appt that was scheduled for 2 PM I hadn't gotten a call by 4 PM so I left a voicemail on the office phone stating that it was unprofessional to leave me hanging, not knowing if he was going to call me because at that point I only had enough medication to last me through that day and nothing more. He finally called me, SCREAMING at me claiming that I was mistreating his receptionist, when it was the opposite. I was always calm. When I tried explaining my withdrawal symptoms he tried blaming all my problems on my marraige and telling me there's no pill to make me better and that I'd find a counselor. Made NO attempt to help me through the anxiety attacks I was having because he cut my medicine in half. Also explained to me at that time that he would no longer prescribe me another medication I'd been taking for a couple years that I really needed because he doesn't prescribe stimulants, and didn't offer an alternative medication, so on top of withdrawals and crazy mood swings I would have to endure more. Next appointment he told me to find a second doctor to prescribe said medicine. I got in contact with my previous psychiatrist and explained I needed that medicine from them because the new doctor wouldn't prescribe it and my old doctor would not see me as a patient because they said it wasn't ethical to have two psychiatrists at once. The last and final appointment he asked how I was doing I was honest and told him I was having a very hard time without the medicine he cut me off cold turkey. He then went on a tangent accusing me of trying to force him to prescribe me it when I never asked him to prescribe it after he took me off it and said he wouldn't, but most psychiatrists want to know how you are doing mentally. So I explained to him I never asked him for it or tried to force him to do anything I was just being honest with him about everything because he's my doctor - that's what he's there for. Then he told me I needed to make several appointments with psychiatrists north and south of where I live-- basically within 100 miles of me anyone who could see me until someone would prescribe me the medicine and I should call and ask if they would prescribe it before I go! I told him they couldn't give me that answer because it depends on each patient individually. Anyway, he's basically asking me to doctor-shop. As soon as I said that to him he said: "I'm closing your file. I'll write you 2 months of meds and that's it that should be plenty of time to find a doctor." I said I've called many places right now no ones taking patients or the appointments are months out and he accused me of not trying hard enough and not caring enough. I said why are you dropping me what did I do wrong? Why won't you at least keep me on as a patient until I find a doctor? I said, because if I can't find a dr I'm gonna have no medications and end up in the hospital. His answer was: I'm doing you a favor, I only have to legally give you 30 days. He was condescending. On top of that, I was overcharged numerous times (the staff kept making excuses when I presented CLEAR evidence) and a family member of mine, as we are in a military family, were MISDIAGNOSED with PTSD by this self-serving man, and accordingly I am in the process of seeking out my state medical board to explain the atrocities Dr. Renazco has commited, hopefully to remedy the situation. One goes to a psychiatrist to get help and feel safe and not be judged. Places like this is why there are some who are scared to get help when they need it. The negative stigma attached to mental health needs to be removed, and Katy Psychiatry does little to provide quality, professional services to those in need. Their priorities are profits over compassionate care.

I came to her in late 2015-after 13 years not only with the wrong diagnosis but also on not one, not two, but THREE wrong, highly addictive medications. She has helped me get off two, work with other doctors to get my horribly messed up medical history corrected (as much as can be done) and fight with my insurance company (when they didn't seem to understand why I needed an extremely strong anti-nausea med while SLOWLY withdrawing). I started out with Dr A for both med management & counseling-the frequency changes depending on what's going on-Maybe at some point I'll change; she already knows my history and I don't have to repeat it. I need that continuity. Her office staff are fantastic. They get to know each patient (on your terms-definitely not pushy and nothing regarding your session). Now, I chat with the Office Mgr as I come and go. This is a small office, any paperwork is done by few, so I also try hard to be polite and thankful for any help-a couple of times it has been way beyond expectations. Ive never had any problems but I know I can express my concerns & they will be addressed (I might want to wait till I've HAD MY SESSION FIRST, as my issue may have vanished as I calmed down ) Unfortunately I don't believe Dr A is currently accepting new clients-She MIGHT have a wait list or take a client depending on the situation. Who knows. However any recommendations that come from her staff (I didn't ask if I could publish their names) should be high quality. One option-if you are willing to split Med Management & Psychotherapy, at least w Therapists work in the same suite-I will try to get their info to publish. And keep reading as you should feel comfortable going to them.... If you call and a recommendation THIS is why you should try it out: 1. Most are from patient interactions or Dr A's own experiences with them-and we are picky. 2. Dr A has been in the Greater Austin area for almost 3-4 years, she has great connections AND is highly respected within the medical community. If you cannot get in to see Dr A, please feel comfortable that her recommendations have the stamp of SOMEONE personally saying "yes I had/am having a positive experience". It isn't a collection of Biz Cards for handout. When I did this review, I knew it would be the first time My Name would be published with a Psychiatrist or Psychologist and THAT WOULD BE FINE. It's hard to do public reviews for this (not just HealhGrades or Vitals) but these are needed. We need more of these reviews so hopefully more will be done. I will eventually review my former Psychiatrist. I know I'm receiving wonderful care, and if I couldn't see her (and was still frantically looking) I know I'd get a good recommendation. If for some reason you don't-PLEASE let the office know and what happened-coming onto a Review site and griping does nothing. Dr A & her staff want each person to have great care: If she cannot see someone personally they want to know that person is still in great hands. Never have I had a doctor that matches Dr. Partida: professional and courteous front office staff, fast access to care (both at appointments and via phone call follow-ups and prescription refills), bilingual, culturally competent, and kind. Every now and again I stop and reflect on how much better my life has gotten since I started seeing Dr. Partida. Across the board, she's an extraordinary practitioner in psychoanalysis and medication management.
