Closed an hour before their posted hours. I came back to pick up my laundry and found it closed. I will not use this laundromat again.

They are efficient and the cloths come back folded and clean. I have found them convenient and cooperative. Very dependable.

Terrible. I dropped my laundry off here for convenience, but it was not a convenient experience and I will not be back. First, it's wayyyy overpriced! $18 for the first 10 pounds then $1.10 for each additional pound, and they round up. Most laundromats are less than $1 per pound. RIPOFF! You'd think for the premium charge, you'd receive premium service. Think again. The laundry does not smell clean. It's damp and has a funky odor to it that doesn't smell like any detergent was used to wash the clothes. I'm honestly grossed out and will probably have to re-wash the clothes. What a waste of time and money. My laundry was supposed to be ready next day.... it wasn't. No credit or refund due to the delay was offered. had to go back the next day to get my clothes, which were packed up in a clear plastic garbage bag instead of the laundry bag they were dropped off in. I'm not sure why they decided not to use the bags I provided, but because they did, the whole contents of my laundry bag are on display for the neighborhood. I had to carry my laundry home in a flimsy plastic garbage bag that nearly ripped by the time I got home, instead of the laundry backpack with straps that I dropped it off in. Makes absolutely no sense to me and just seems lazy. I also dropped off two bags, to separate my laundry, and they just tossed it all in one bag when they returned it. The icing on the cake is when they tell me it's cash only, when there's a big sign behind him that says credit cards accepted, $15 minimum. After questioning why I had to pay cash, he tells me he doesn't know how to work the credit card machine. Are you kidding me? How are you the only one working in the laundromat and don't know how to use the machine that allows people to pay? So I had to go take it cash at an ATM and pay transaction fees on top of an already inflated price for very poor service. Will not be returning! read more

My wife and I have been customers of Riverdale Laundry Incorporated for over 20 years which, given the number of competitors in the neighborhood, speaks for itself. Mr. and Mrs. Han are utterly professional and customer oriented. Their work is excellent and their pickup/delivery is reliable to the extent that one can use it to set a clock. STAY AWAY! After being a loyal customer for year, i started to notice that items were going missing. At first i let it go and thought maybe i could have lost the things some other way, but then I kept a close watch and realized they were just not being returned from the laundry i sent out. I called once and was rudely told in barely recognizable english that they did not lose anything and was hung up on. A week later, after yet another sweater vanished, I decided to go in with a list of missing items and see if they could not be located somehow. Before I could even get the worlds out, Han, the owner (i think) started screaming at me, waving her arms going crazy saying they don't lose anything and its MY fault. Shocked and upset, i just stopped talking and walked out. I really cannot believe that after loyally using their services for almost 10 years I was was treated like this. Han is a disgusting and ungrateful person and business owner. If i could give this place zero stars, I definitely would! On the flip side, I would like to point out there there are many other laundry delivery places in Riverdale. In fact, I realized that my dry cleaner, Cameo Cleaner, on moshulo also has laundry delivery (which i only found out because of this situation.) Sue at Cameo is also great with alterations and is incredibly nice. read more

The rudest owner on the face of the earth - kicked me and my family out with out letting us dry our clothes since he was closing at 6pm. Starts a big show on how he owns the business, we asked if we could just finish drying out clothes that we had just washed there - he completely refused was screaming at me in front of family. He argued with us for 30 min we could have dried or clothes in 15 min. Just a complete jerk worst place ever!!!! read more

Never send them dry cleaning and I wouldn't do any business with them. I called them to pick up my dry cleaning and they said they would deliver it by the next day per my request, I had also called and gave my credit card so they could charge me. Next day came and went the following day I was leaving town and called to try one more time to get it before I left and they said they would try and I never heard from them. When I got back I called and it took me calling three times for the woman to pay attention after telling me she delivered it so many times to realize I was talking about dry cleaning and not laundry and then she was annoyed with me. So they finally deliver and then ask me to pay (full price of course) and I said I had paid. Then she yells at me some more I yell back and she sees I had paid. Never again. read more

I have dropped off duvets and bedspreads for the past several years and have been 100% satisfied with the service. Today I rushed my son's athletic equipment to them. He had left his white team jersey and knickers in a sweaty locker for several months during the pandemic. The retrieved equipment was covered wtih mold stains. The laundry across the street refused to accept the items for wash as there was no hope for success. The owners at Riverdale Laundry said they would try their best. Several washes, sprays and soaks later -- the equipment looks great. They saved the day and saved my son the expence of replacement equipment. Highly recommend :) read more

As far as I know, nothing was taken. Read a lot of the other reviews, and now I'm wondering. They picked up my laundry, and delivered it. My only problem was having to be home at certain times. I was really spoiled living in Astoria. I have a lot of clothes. And this was like 60 pounds I'm two bags easily. So who knows what goes missing. Haven't used them accept that once, but no snags. read more

If you want to keep your things don't send them here. Ever since I started sending my things to this laundromat I've seen things gone missing, and as the previous reviews have mentioned, the owner will absolutely make you feel like an idiot for even thinking that it may be their fault. The first week I sent my stuff out they lost my brand new top and asked the owner if they might have a lost and found bin because I know I sent out my shirt and never saw it come back int he bag. She acted very offended and told me that I must have lost it at home. Well after about a month and a half of doing laundry with them I'm down to three (!!!) towels after having had 7 or 8 for a long time. It was very obvious when my husband opened the closet this week and asked where all of our towels have gone. Bad bad bad service and even worse attitude. read more

Imagine getting your favorite pants back inches shorter. Same thing with the shirt sleeves. Everything is just ruined! I called to complain and the owner, a woman (I think the place is co-owned by a married couple) she just shouted at me, "we return everything, yeah!!" and she would not address my complaint at all. Wow, can the owners YELL. Okay, so, to be fair? The people who are not the owners are really sweet people, and they do a great job. I am SO sorry that these are the owners they're stuck with. But when I get screamed at for taking my OWN LAUNDRY DETERGENT home with me? Yeah, I'm done. Particularly when I'm standing there saying "Yes I took it, you don't need to show me a video" and the woman is screaming at me, jabbing her finger at the screen of the security camera, saying "YOU LOOK! YOU TOOK IT! LOOK HERE NOW!" If she had been reasonable and said "okay, you say you took it, I have no proof you are who you say you are and I need to protect my customers," I would have been more than happy to go get ID. As it was, one of the workers tried to get her to see reason and said "ID, ask for ID" several times, but she was too busy yelling at me and trying to get me to look at a video I had already admitted to, **in writing**. But she wouldn't look at my writing, nor did she want me to go get ID. Wow. I admit, I screamed too. Louder than I thought I was capable of doing without bodily harm being threatened. "YES I TOOK IT BECAUSE IT IS MINE AND I CAN PROVE IT STOP TRYING TO SHOW ME THE DAMN VIDEO." And after she was done showing me the video of me doing the thing I had already admitted to doing, I went home and got documentation of who I was. And when she saw she was wrong? She YELLED AT ME MORE. "WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME??" I finished what I was doing, thanked the gentleman who tried to help with the suggestion of ID, and left. I will never go back. I'm with Steven L in that I would rather wash my clothes in my tub than give these people another cent of my money. (And I have!) read more

I have used this laundry for at least 15 yrs since it opened. Not sure who owns it or runs it. Then was very satisfied w the service. In later yrs it got much worse. Pick up late return very late. Call tell u it's on way. 2 hrs later comes. It's very expensive too. I do need the service so I use them. Not happy. read more

I am just another person who has had many things stolen. Unbelievable!!! The owners seemed so nice every time we dropped off our laundry (2 times/week). A friend of mine warned me NOT to give them my laundry because a bunch of her stuff went missing. I slowly started to notice that my son and daughters clothing went missing. 9 articles of clothing that I have noticed so far. $150+ (not included the price/pound you are charged to get the clothing washed and then the same weight is not returned). It is so sad that people think it's OK to run a business this way. Despicable. If you want to keep the clothing that you work so hard for NEVER let them get their hands on it. These people do not deserve to run a business in this community of hard working people. read more

I've had a great relationship with this company, they've been doing my laundry every week for the past 6 years. I call for them to pick up in the AM and it is always returned in the PM. And I include payment for the previous week in the current week's laundry. Easy peasy lemon-squeezey! read more

December 2nd 2013 they lost a set of 4 monogrammed towels. 1 Floor mat,and 1 pair of booty slippers. What I did get back was half my laundry and baby clothes.(underwear, socks, shirts, and sheets). I returned the baby clothes and told them about my missing items. Not only did I pay for the full load as the bill before doing the laundry, $26.00, but they then say that there was only 2 towels and not 4. They said I have 2 towels at home. I told them that we spent almost $200.00 for this set of towels and they said towels do not cost that much. They were rude and offered me only $20.00 and then they came up to $30.00 which would cover half of what I paid for and the missing floor mat and the booties. What about something for my monogrammed towels. Are they not worth something. We buy expensive towels and sheets from Bloomingdale's and while I don't expect the full amount but a little something more than $30.00. I am or was a good customer and I spend almost $1300.00 a year. Now they have lost me for $50.00. That is the way they do business. In my business when we make a mistake we make good for it and not bargain with the customer and offer an insulting amount. read more

I picked up my down comforter and when I got home and started to put it on my bed, I realized it wasn't my down comforter at all. My Ralph Lauren comforter had a monogrammed "RLL" at the bottom of the blanket. This Ralph Lauren one didn't - and it barely covered the top of my bed. This one was for a double bed and I have a queen. I bagged it up and took it back to the laundromat. Calmly, I explained to the owner (the wife) that there had been a mix-up. Immediately, she started screaming at me stating that this was indeed my blanket and that I had tried to do this to her before. "NO ACCIDENTS HERE. YOU TRY THIS BEFORE." Ummm...why would I want someone else's USED blanket? And if I'm going to try to scam you, why would I be so specific about a monogram? This rationale didn't seem to matter - but she could barely hear me as she was still screaming at me. "That's your blanket, that's your blanket." Then she told me to leave, turned her back on me and walked to the back of the store. After doing business with these people for 6 years, I am now taking my business elsewhere. There is a laundromat around the corner on 238th St. - it's cheaper and the employees are much nicer. I believe in supporting businesses that appreciate their customers. These owners don't. read more
