Great local restaurant/pub. Big portions and very reasonably priced. Recently ordered and split the famous Mike Frame Salad (real bacon crumbles, boiled egg, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, banana peppers, and shredded lettuce) with homemade French dressing and garlic breadstick. Also try the grilled chicken wings with homemade wing sauce. We usually get a mix of barbecue and medium sauce. Great burgers, hardy sandwiches and fresh cut fries. Try their homemade fresh cut cafe chips and cheese sauce. Also love their stuffed mushrooms and nachos. Everything is amazing! read more

St Albans is barren in the restaurant department. However, there are exceptions to every rule and this is it. Foodie's delight. Love this place!!. I'm picky about my wings (there just arent many places with good wings) and here they are top notch...some of the best I've had. The owner obviously takes pride in the establishment...not much on the menu that isn't really well prepared. The place is generally busy while the service is great. Nicole is the best! If you are lucky enough to get don't make the mistake of trading barbs with her...she's just too witty and fun. The other servers are great as well just can't remember names. Haven't had a mediocre one yet. The atmosphere is inviting and the place has a really nice vibe. Kudos to the management for the obvious pride in their food which is hard to come by these days. read more

The service was fine but two out of four of us got extremely sick and spent the next 12 hours in the bathroom. I'll never be back.

Decided to try this place again after many years. Was 1 of my favorites but it became less favorable when service and food quality declined. So tonight was a reminder - burnt food and a hair in my chili. And all served on very chipped dinner plates. This place is disgusting as a restaurant. It's an ok place to have a beer. read more

We had 9 people in our group. Food was good. The problem was our server was terrible! She didn't refill any of our drinks, she took a long time to take our order. One person ordered sauce on the side but came out smothered in sauce. "That's all fine and dandy, no big deal :)" But then she disappeared.... Seriously disappeared.. for over a 1/2 hour.... People from our group had to leave, they couldn't wait any longer.. The table next to us has a fussy baby, I felt bad because they were waiting to pay their bill but again, our server was MIA.. Finally after 25+ minutes guy came up and asked if he could get us anything... Uh yea you can take our money so we can leave! But he told us he couldn't and we would have to wait for our missing sever to return from RITE AID!!!! Yes she made a run to RITE AID!! The chick came back with bags full of liquor from Rite aid... This is the part that pissed me off! My bill had gratuity added in the total.. so her tip was $16!!!! But wait! The other people in our group had it added in their total too! So this crappy server made $32 from us!! I called and spoke to a lady supervisor and she told me she would call me back the following day... Well its the following day and no phone call.. read more

My husband and I and several of our friends have been regulars at the café for many years - the wings are good, the atmosphere is comfortable. Sorry to say I probably won't be back after my experience last night. Main street chicken salad for both of us and both of us ended up extremely ill - gut wrenching, in and out of the bathroom all night SICK!! After sharing our experience with others we found out they have had the same problem with the same salad - maybe the lettuce? I don't know, but there is definitely something going on with the salads there...just a heads up. Wings and crab stuffed mushrooms have always been great though and it is a good place to grab a beer. read more

This was about two weeks ago and I've been hesitant to tell this but I feel as if the owner should know this. I've been here before, but not for a while but since my son was coming home from Iraq, me and my husband wanted to take him and his family out to eat at his favorite place. First, it was about 6:30 in the evening and it looked pretty full and busy and as we were walking to the door there was a slender, kinda taller guy with a beard and was pretty much bald who was obviously a cook from the apron he was wearing if there was a wait he said, nah, the kitchen is closed. I asked why there was people in the kitchen and why they looked so busy. He just responded f*** you fat b**** and went inside. It angered me but I just took it since it was the first time that I'd seen my son in since months. We finally got a seat and they we were kinda busy so when my son and his family arrived we thought we'd just have some drinks until most of the people would leave so we wouldn't have to wait long on our food. When our serve went to ring in the order the same man that cussed at me at the front yelled across the restaurant at unless really you fat a**es 3 appetizers for 7 people. That was pretty much sealed the deal that none of us would ever go back there. I hope the manager or owner finds out about this and takes the appropriate actions against this employee. It's UNACCEPTIBALE for a patron to be treated like this by an employee anywhere! read more
