First time eating here as we were driving through. It's a small joint off of US 60. Lots of great drink deals....I enjoyed the $2.99 Monday Margaritas they were massive! We shared the jalapeño popper which were okay, and then we all had different entrees. The bacon burger, pepperoni pizza and the chicken sandwich. My wife and I stopped by passing through on our way back home. We read the reviews and hoped for the best. When we arrived we were seated within a minute. We placed our drink order and food came out within 10-15 minutes. I ordered the Honey Jalapeño Burger, which was just the right amount of spice. Not too hot to enjoy the flavor, but enough to taste the spice. My wife ordered the Classic Club, which she seemed to enjoy as well. We recently used Bubbarino's for a catering of an office lunch for 40 people and EVERYONE LOVED the food. The portions were plentiful and everyone left with a Togo plate! Zander and his team took this catering on a semi short notice ( 4 days notice) and made it happen flawlessly! I gave him the idea of what we wanted and he executed. The chicken was so perfectly seasoned, tender, and juicy but the pork was ao good it was GONE by the time the event was over! The Bread pudding is to die for, you must get the bread pudding! They delivered the food hot and had everything set up perfect just ahead of time for our event to serve it all hot. Highly recommend Zander and his team! We made a reservation three months ago for our annual employee Christmas party. I called today to get menu options only to be told that they didn't have our reservation and that their party area was closed until after the first of the year. Thank goodness I called, or I would have never known this information. They took my name and number when I made the reservation so somebody could have called to let me know. It took 30 minutes to get our appetizer which came only a few minutes before our meal. So, basically, came with our meals. Our family found this restaurant on our way into town for a short visit, and decided to stop. Their menu (on Yelp) seemed like it had something for everyone. Parking is limited, but there additional parking next door with a sidewalk to get there. We had 2 adults and 3 teen/tween boys, and we were all happy with everything we ordered - burgers (try the honey jalapeño!), wings, sides, AND desserts - the beignets and molten lava cake were amazing. To top it off, our server was wonderful (she made great recommendations and was very attentive), and we loved the quirky atmosphere. The beer list had something for everyone, including some local options. Plus: a shuffleboard table! The next day when the person we were with recommended we all eat at her favorite local burger place - Bubbarino's - we were all in! While I would have preferred the addiction of cucumbers and maybe green peppers to my Greek Salad, there is no denying that this was a generously portioned, fresh meal. One could argue that it's a risky proposition to order from an unknown (to us) spot when traveling down I64, we definitely struck gold. To quote my husband, we now have our "go to" spot as we make the trek to Kentucky. My salad was a huge, delicious meal-smothered in tasty feta cheese-such a pleasant surprise for weary travelers with many miles to go as we headed back to Virginia Beach. The homemade dressing was one more pleasant surprise only surpassed by the friendly, informative staff -super sweet young lady who took my order.
