My knee was swollen and he performed lymphatic massage to help get some of the fluid on my knee down. He told me my pain would increase if fluid builds up in my knee and if the pain became unbearable, the next step would be to have the fluid removed. Scott is very knowledgeable and we discussed CBD oils and creams that may help with pain. My only complaint about TOC is the parking there is difficult. When the business was established years ago, there was no crystal ball to determine the population growth would be what it has been here in Huntsville. They need double the occupancy they have or at least 3 additional floors for parking.

I spent $720 dollars on Trans-cranial Magnetic Stimulation in the summer of 2023, it didn't work and it was obvious the previous office had given up. Switching to her was a good decision. The front office is nice friendly. I've never felt rushed in an appointment, she listens, and most importantly notices nuanced details like changes in mood even how much mental state can be measured by the state of my beard. She is good at remembering you and what's happening in your life so you don't have to keep explaining something every appointment. She also understands that you can't medicate an issue away and takes a look at the big picture. Not just, "you are diagnosed with _____. Take these pills and come back in three months." She looks at the whole person and big picture, she correctly and directly told me, "I can't out medicate you pushing yourself this hard," and gave me ideas on how to stop putting so much pressure on myself. Also big bonus, her appointments are on time. Never once have I been waiting past the agreed time. I'm a big fan of her punctuality. I do in person because I prefer that but does offer tele-health after you do your initial appointment. Most importantly, when a pharmacy or insurance has an issue with a medication (out of stock or won't cover) it is resolved fast. Most times the same day. I recommend her to my friends and coworkers, I even recommend her to my barber. She's kind, approachable, funny, and good at her job.

I absolutely love and feel so blessed to have Dr. Mary Toland as my primary care physician. It was…read moresad to see a former friend leave Huntsville, but it took that move (because her family were patients of Dr. Toland) to open up some wiggle room in her practice to allow my husband and me a spot, under her care at, at the time, Baily Cove Family Physicians. I think I've been going there around 13 years, probably more. The Huntsville Hospital name change really did not impact my experience in any way. No problems getting appointments or changing appointments and her staff are *never* rude or anything but kind - in every dealing/appointment that I've had with them. Dr. Toland is the most compassionate, caring individual you will find. She really listens to you, she understands women's issues and concerns and "cuts you some slack"and is never judgmental. She understands if life gets in the way and precludes some of the better health practices that we all strive to adhere to and is so reasonable and kind. As far as appointments go, she runs on time probably 99% of the time. She goes over your bloodwork in painstaking detail and answers and explains thoroughly any questions you may have. Refills are easy to obtain and they always have the lab paperwork where it is supposed to be, in advance of any appointments. I'm not sick much, but when I am, she will try to work me in and the nursing staff are all kind and compassionate, too. I almost hate to "go on and on" about Dr. Toland, because I do not believe she is accepting new patients, don't quote me, I could be wrong. There are other doctors on the staff at HHPC, I've never seen anyone other than Dr. Toland, so I cannot comment on their care.
