I started getting notices about being overdrawn. On a closed account. This past weekend I received a notice that I was overdrawn by $111.00. Really??? Called the customer service line and was informed , by someone whose first language was not English, that Citizen's Bank re-opened my account to assess fees and penalties. Go elsewhere.

Careful of this bank!!! My father had all his accounts and IRAs here for years! When he passed away…read morehe left money to his grandson that I have overseen for the last six years and was paying him his monthly amount of money.I was told by the bank from the very beginning that I would not be charged any money monthly because my father had such a good standing with this bank. But when the account became very low I noticed that there was a charge for $15 for that month, I called the bank and they said once the account became $5000 or less they would be charging a service charge of $15.00 . I was never told this so for the last few years they've been making a lot of money on my fathers money and they made me pay those charges until it was closed! If I had I known this I would have put the money in my bank key bank, They do not charge any monthly charges at all no matter what I have in the account!
