Their menu is not amazing but it's adequate and their are some options that seemed appealing. I went with the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and the grilled salmon as my main course. The tomatoes had an interesting sweet glaze the covered the grilled pork bites. The salmon was a very large portion and came on a bed of rice with grilled squash and asparagus. It was better than I expected. I was somewhat disappointed the only fresh fish option was pan seared trout. I really like trout but typically the pan seared is undercooked. They also had a Mahi special but it was pan seared. Over all an really good experience and I would recommend it but do strongly suggest a reservation. There are many outside tables for patio dining as well. There is plenty of free parking on a large surface lot.

The Lodge is unpretentious but our room was very spacious and clean with updated bathroom, cozy linens and good wifi. It's a convenient distance to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock.
