Sadly, only two of those things were noted. We wondered in shortly after our lunch at Mellow and seeing as it was a local place, we were pumped at the thought of picking up something local. We walked in and were greeted by...no one...ever. We took a quick look around, looked at the menu and walked around for over 8 minutes, never to be acknowledged ONE TIME. It was honestly uncomfortable. We really wanted to belly up to the bar and have a drink, but it just wasn't in the cards for this place...at least for us. As folks visiting downtown Cartersville for the first time, we were disappointed by our service here. The other reviews seem positive, but our Saturday afternoon drop in was far from 5 star.

But you will find some true treasures inside and at better prices than the Depot (which is a fine store itself). I made two visits and bought about 10 bottles of bourbon in total (some for friends, don't judge!). The prices were as good as I had seen anywhere. I really wish I would have pulled the trigger on the $203 bottle of Macallan 18 which goes for $275 in North Carolina's oppressive state liquor store system. The employees, especially an Asian man and woman, were very pleasant and helpful. I don't live in Rome, alas, but this will be one of my first stops next time I am in town.

It was a beautiful spring day, so we sat outside and enjoyed the weather and the beers. They were all really good. In order I would say the Wildberry Sour was my favorite, followed closely by by the Stout. The wheat beer had a great taste to as did their newest one the Kveik. Definitely coming back here when in Rome.

The bartender was great, very friendly. The beer was ok. I drink ciders and sours and those options were okay- but my friends enjoyed their drinks. Came for the Line Dancing and it was a blast! What made it more fun was the teacher, I love her. Just entertainment for the whole family. Also, the owner is not a bad dancer and truly seems to love what he does! The space features an exposed brewhouse immediately upon entry with the bar the right and booth & high top seating throughout. There is also a nice outdoor seating space with patio couches. It has more of a restaurant vibe/feel than taproom/brewery but nevertheless it is a bright, clean, open area. The menu has a dozen housemade beers to choose from. Lagers, stouts, IPA, and sours are among the options. The beers were decent. Nothing super spectacular but also nothing too offensive. There was a sour stout on that I absolutely had to try. I had mixed feelings but it grew on me. The American lager was probably my favorite. Great beer to enjoy on a summer afternoon. There will be a kitchen coming from what I was told. For now you can enjoy pretzels to snack on if you would like. The owner was behind the bar and extremely friendly. He made the visit enjoyable and made for nice conversation. There are plenty of games to play to keep you entertained. I am excited to see how this place grows and matures. I believe the addition of a kitchen will make a world of difference
