I came here on Memorial Day for my first strawberry picking experience. Prices are very reasonable at $3 per pound if you pick them and the staff is extremely friendly. We picked about 12 pounds of strawberries on a fairly hot day. Then we went to have everything weighed and bought some ice cream, strawberry poppyseed dressing, and local honey in addition to a few water bottles. The ice cream was refreshing and not overly sweet! We also tried the strawberry poppyseed dressing later that evening and it was so good that I hopped online to see if they had an online store to order more (unfortunately, they do not :( ). I was super pleased with my experience here! P.S. They are cash or check only so make sure you have some cash on hand prior to coming. read more

What a wonderful strawberry farm! There is a large sign out front when you get close. Pull onto the gravel road and find a parking spot. The smell of strawberries will hit you as soon as you step out of your car. You will see a store front with a table of buckets out there. Grab a bucket and wait for a golf cart to bring you to the midst of the field. I check their fb page before coming out and they had "red alert" on there, which means lots of strawberries ready to be picked. And they were right!! I came mid week afternoon so it wasn't crowded. I was out there for half an hour and pick an almost full bucket and it was almost 3 lbs. Again, I took the golf cart back to the store front to pay for my freshly picked berries. They were $2.50/lb. But you can get already picked ones for $4/lb. I also got strawberry ice cream for $4. It was delicious and it's a soft serve. You can definitely taste the fresh strawberries in it. They also sell strawberry jam ($6), honey ($10) and few other things in the store. There is also some picnic tables and a sink to wash your hands or your harvest if you can't wait to enjoy them! Great upick strawberries & -ice cream, but traffic backup on 2-lane road to get in is horrific. See if open on weekday & check for hours & status before going. After waiting in backup on road, the cop at gate has you drive on by & turn around & start all over from the other direction - and not just once, but will make you do this multi times. Someone needs to spring for a bypass lane or buy some property on other side for parking. We've gone for years, but won't try again until this is resolved. Also, cash or check only & be prepared for a 30-minute wait to check out too on weekends at least. read more

Great little farm experience for the family - kids loved picking which was easy with lots of staff advising us where to pick. They also loved the ice cream. We took home some strawberry salsa as well. read more

It was a delight to see such a great staff at this farm. They were warm and friendly. We were chauffeured by this young lad to the back field and we were welcomed by a young lady who then taught us the proper way of picking the beautiful berries. We ended up picking about 10 pounds. Check out was a breeze--just make sure you have cash or check handy. We purchased both the ice cream and fried strawberry pie. They were yummy! One suggestion is that I hope they install a regular bathroom for guests to use. All they had was a port-a-potty and we all know what that entails. read more

I woke up craving strawberries this morning and had the day off. I also want to make my famous strawberry jalapeno jam and season is running out. A run to the Acworth Farmer's Market and discerned that wasn't the route (they wanted $20.00 per gallon for overripe berries.) A quick Google search and I found LCCL. It was a lovely day for berry picking - overcast and cool (and not a weekend day.) Upon arrival I was greeted with smiles and lots of buckets and row after row of gorgeous red strawberries hanging by the handfuls over the mounds. After snagging a 4-stack of buckets I was swept off my feet and golf-carted off through the woods. A minute later and the view opened up to a gorgeous open field of strawberry heaven. As the previous poster mentioned it only took a short while before I had three buckets completely packed full of lovely strawberries. Wow! (Between the rows is hard and bumpy or rutted. It was dry all week here, but probably rutted from people walking on wet dirt. My point.. it may be a good idea to wear shoes that strapped or tied to your feet. Don't forget to try the ice cream. LCCL Strawberry Farm is a "pick your own" strawberry farm near the community of Armuchee in Northwest Georgia. They have several acres of well-tended rows of strawberries that are irrigated and relatively weed-free. They provide buckets to pick with and transport you to the area of the farm they are picking on that particular day. My wife and I picked 10 pounds of beautiful, juicy berries in the space of about 15 minutes on Mother's Day. It was a great little side trip. They charge $1.50 per pound to pick your own, or you can buy prepicked berries for $2.50 per pound. The farm is family-owned and family-run, and the owners are very nice and helpful. When you're leaving, don't miss the fresh strawberry ice cream; It's to die for. Be sure to check out their website for season information and hours. We will definitely be going back before the season ends and pick lots more. read more
