Ahhhh. The good'ole "Dive" aka home. I've grown up in this town and have seen generations pass through here. Even Hurricane Sandy couldn't dampen our spirits (remodeled shortly after). From NYC/NJ commuter to "townies", you'll see a little bit of everyone in here. When the weather is good on a Fri/Sat night in the summer, expect this place to be standing room only, loud but lively. A divey place with the best food. Normally when you order a steak sandwich you get shaved steak......I ordered the strip steak sandwich and got a 6 once NY strip cooked to perfection for less than a meal at a fast food joint! They actual dry age their own beef!!! read more

Just wanted a good Cheeseburger but when I saw a cheesesteak being severed at the next table I changed my order. My friends both ordered quesadillas with chicken and said it was great. Had alpine burger. Very good but not awesome. Price is fair. Definitely a solid dive bar. Service was so / so. Bartender was pleasant but no one came to see how I was doing after they dropped off food. I gave 3 stars but prolly deserves 3.5. Best part was 70's / 80's music Parking was a bit weird too, hopefully I don't have a ticket. read more

This place wasn't bad, wasn't great. I felt a little coldness from the server....maybe because she knew we weren't local. She did warm up a tad later, so no big deal. I enjoyed their burger and the BUN is what made it so delicious. The cheese gooeyness didn't hurt. If you want a burger and a beer with sports on, you found the place. read more

Really, really wanted to love this place, as I live in town. Was looking for a local dive with decent food, decent beer at a decent price. I have wings (6-8 in an order, mostly drumsticks) that were decent. Sliders for dinner were pretty good. Wife have the roast beef on garlic bread which left a little to be desired. THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!!!! Anything on the menu is great. The best French Dip sandwiches in the world!!!! Fresh, homemade roast beef made daily and bread is fresh. Specials are top of the line too. Excellent and inventive food, great sangria, great prices, open to outdoors so lots of fresh air and light, relaxed atmosphere, shoes, who needs um' lol. If you like dive bars and great music go on Sunday evening and check out the Brother John Brown band. Great classic rock and tv's for the sports fans. I went to this bar about a year and a half ago with my girlfriend, and I still remember clear as day what a terrible time it was. Definitely a dive bar, which I have no problem with. The problem I had was the single bartender behind the bar servicing an entire room of people. He was generally not attentive to us as he was more focused on getting in a drink or two here and there. Definitely not professional in the least. I could have forgiven all that. If it weren't for the bartender coming after me down the street when he saw me clearly leave more than enough money on the counter for our bill. I will never go to this bar again. read more

I would never recommend this place to anyone. After being publicly humiliated by a bartender who took his job way too seriously, he served at least 8 minors then proceeded to kick out the only female who was 21+ years old, threw my pursue onto the street, and made an unnecessary scene, I will never be returning to this bar and i will never recommend it to anyone. Place has so much potential, but it's ruined by the patrons and some of the bartenders. People call this place "The Dive," which should suggest how douchey the clientele is. Anyone who thinks this place is a dive has never been to a dive. Service can be slow, they'll never remember your name and on certain nights they have some big guy walk around and yell at you to finish your beer at 1:30. I've been told he doesn't actually work there anymore, I guess he used to and he's just on a power trip. If you like some jerk off yelling at you to finish your beer before being asked to finish up, then go here. If you want a real dive bar where the bartenders will remember you and the patrons will welcome you, go elsewhere. read more

The Riverside Inn is our go to place. It is a dive bar for prices and atmosphere, but the food is most often homemade, fresh and always delicious. My Philly bf approves heartily of the Mongo cheesesteak, it's his usual. I've tried a lot of the menu and never been disappointed. The bathrooms are clean.
