I went here once with a couple friends. We were celebrating my graduation, along with another friend's birthday (who was already there with a group of people.) It was late on a Friday night. First off, getting here was interesting, it seemed to be pretty much in the boondocks. I think we even drove under an old train trestle at one point and saw some trolls milling about. We pulled into the parking lot and were charged $5. Really? $5 to park in this half asphalt/half dirt lot? (We'll just call it half-ass'd...) Then we get charged $20 at the door. My lady friends got the same charge. This place has two levels. Both playing hiphop. We hit the lower level first. There was a cute bartender working the bar. I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea. She made something that tasted like Long Island Iced Turpentine. The music wasn't bad, but seemed TOO loud, even for a club. Later we moved up to the top floor, which seemed a bit larger, and where they play all the garbage you hear every hour after hour on the radio. The dance floor was packed. Too much so I thought, not that the music was inspiring anyway. We found our people and hung out off to the side of the bar. I kept thinking how wack this place was. I think I kept my mind off of it most of the night my talking to Traci. Now that I think about it, I did get a bit of dancing in, but off to the side by the bar. I was drunk. Traci made me. There's a deck on the upper floor to go out and smoke or get some fresh air if you're so inclined, or be able to talk to someone without yelling. Last thing, as we're leaving, one of the security douchebags says to me, "I let you in this time, but no tims next time." Seriously? I just walked off, because if there's one thing I do know, it's that I won't be coming back here. I've never been here other than that night, so I won't one-star the place. Straight to the point. It is a good place that plays a lot of old school house music (which I dig). Location is ideal as it is not near any other trafficked businesses. The food is pretty tasty. I've ordered food individually for a dinner and for an event and I must say the food tastes slightly better or big events. Sit down dinners are a bit overpriced however i.e. $17.00 for a whiting dinner. Nonetheless, good place to host events and parties. My girlfriends and I were meeting up for drinks after work, we enjoyed ourselves so much we decided to go back and have dinner. The food was delicious I had the fried fish with spinach and mac& cheese. We ate and talked so much that the lounge upstairs was open. Our admittance was free because we had dinner downstairs. First time there, horrible. I was there for my aunt's 50 birthday dinner. I ordered buffalo wings and it came with rice. The wings were EXTREMELY SALTY. Ok let me a start with their nightlife policy , In order to get a table in the lounge area you can either Have dinner downstairs in the restaurant for 4 plus People and they give you a complimentary table in the upstairs lounge or you simply skip dinner and get Bottle service upstairs . Bottles are priced around $150 which includes tax and gratuity (Not Bad ) . My party started off with 4 people for dinner we all ordered Salad ( it's was 10pm) The food was descent the shrimp and garlic appetizer was very salty and spicy not so much garlicky and everything was the color RED ( perhaps chefs favorite color lol ) , During dinner we had Martin's the Cosmos ( Stoli vodka at our request) were very very good as anyone who drinks martinis know all are not created equal . After drinks and food as promised with our reservation we went upstairs to cut a little rug and our table was occupied however the table service lady ( can't remember her name which means I probably had a really good time) got people up and and out fairly quickly . It took a little while for us to get settled in. We decided to order bottle service (prices stated at beginning of my story I mean review lol ) . Our party grew from 4 to 7. For some reason they only had 1 person working the entire vip section which is why I couldn't make it a 5 star experience . Though the bottle server was extremely attentive it was impossible for her to serve and clean at the same time. BTW the Bottle server was a tiny tiny Little lady but boy she Was scrappy she moved like lightening thru her section and even managed to get her dance on for a bit ( actually she was the highlight ). So many times I have gone out and done table service and the bottle servers have awful attitudes because their tip is included and they don't care ,but the vibe was definitely good here. They ONLY played house music on the night I went (Friday july 10th) ... The DJ did manage to play a little ole school hip hop but I think he must have only bought his BIGGIE greatest hits album because that's ALL he played outside of House and Club Classics . It is definitely a mature crowd 40 plus which is great because people solely came there to get dressed up and Dance ! Do not go here!!!!. My cousin had her party here last night. The food was good but the service was horrible. The party ordered their food and after a hour the food started to come. My grandfather received the food and my uncle never got his food. When my grandfather informed the waitress that his order was wrong, instead of apologizing they blamed my grandfather and told him that it was him who ordered the wrong food. My mother, who has ulcers and can not have spicy food asked the waitress if what she was ordering was spicy. The waitress stated that it was not and made the order. When she taste her food it was spicy and she informed the waitress of this. Again instead of apologizing and trying to fix the problem she argued with my mother stating that her was not spicy and would not take the food back, which was a full plate of food. When the bill came if course they would not take my mother's food off after speaking with management and the owner. They were very nasty. After receiving the bill and the party questioning it, the manager calls my cousin to the back away from the party. For some reason when she came back now the bill was $40 more. Due to the fact that this place is located conveniently off the Parkway and off route 22 it provides easy access. At first the location leaves a little to be desired but it makes up for it inside. Anyone who is a fan of actual house music and not the top 40 edm you hear on the radio these days, should give this place a try. The bartenders know what they are doing, the barmaids look great and the vibe is something new and different to the union area which is known more for pubs and dives.
