I'm completely fed up with their behavior and do not know why the office manager has no awareness of how poorly the office it being operated or why the doctors have no input on making a change since patients are clearly unhappy with their staff so call customer service skills. I just wasted 2 hours of my life + tolls to come here for my daughter's 1 year well visit. My family recently got new insurance. On TWO different occasions I spoke to TWO different different ppl who told me they accept my insurance. I even provided member ID info. I arrive to the appt & suddenly they don't accept my insurance anymore. This is absolutely unacceptable & unprofessional. How do you run an establishment like this? I AM IRRATE. UPDATE: My current pediatrician's office informed me that something was faxed over to them this morning, so hopefully I finally have everything I need. The only people that were in any way shape or form helpful during this process were a young woman named Jay and another woman named Marcia. As far as the overbilling issue goes - we're still fighting that. They wound up sending the bill to collections, despite telling us that they were going to resubmit it to insurance to clear it up. (Basically, when my baby was born, they billed her hospital stay as if there was no insurance, which obviously, we had and interestingly enough, they wound up billing everything else properly through it) BEWARE. Overbilling and administrative issues have this practice in violation of state law! I have been trying to get my daughter's medical records from Riverside Medical Group for TWO YEARS. (They have 30 days under state law) To put this into perspective, she was with the practice from BIRTH to age SIX MONTHS. Her chart could not be more than a couple of pages. I currently need her vaccination record to enroll her into school in the fall, and the practice has been unable to provide me with her records. If I don't hear back within the next two weeks, I will have no choice but to file a complaint with the State Medical Board. Hopefully, the state will able to get me my daughter's medical records by this fall. read more

Beyond upset and disappointed. My two month old was admitted all of last week at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. We were discharged Friday and I arrived at the office to follow up with our pediatrician on Saturday morning. We had a 9 am appointment, waited over an hour in an exam room before packing my baby up and walking out!! I don't understand for the life of me why my infant who was just released from the hospital was not a priority patient. There has to be something better out there! read more

Ridiculous beyond belief... I have a relatively urgent health issue and have been calling these people for 3 days for an appointment and just get transferred to a different person. I went here in person last night and was told that the doctors are not available. I was asked to come this morning at 8 AM and I was there at 7:50 AM only to see that they opened their shutters at 8:15 AM to tell me that the doctor arrived at 8:30 AM and wont see me by 9 AM. I went with my daughter to get a quick check up and there was only one other patient in the other rooms. There were also about 8 nurses and two doctors in. If I could rate this place no stars, I would. My first question is, why do you have phones of you never answer them? When they do answer they place you on hold. Second question, who hire these people? Beyond unprofessional, even on phone calls I hear them discussing their personal business. Patients don't wanna hear how hung over you were a few days ago or what's the next go to party? There is a time and a place for this. The doctors are a different story, you can wait hours here and when you in they see you it's for about 15 minutes and you always walk about with some type of antibiotic. This spot is a joke. I came here because I don't have a primary care physician and figured I'd start somewhere. I walked into what I thought was a doctor's appointment, but at no point saw or spoke to a doctor. I spoke with 2 assistants and 1 nurse practitioner, who did a mouth swab and said I have strep throat. I have had strep before, and what I felt did not feel anything like what strep felt like in the past. No sore throat at all, etc. She prescribed me something that I suggested to her, after asking the assistant what she thought she should prescribe to me. I went to see an actual doctor the next day, who confirmed that I do not have strep throat. $85 down the drain. read more

The only reason I'm giving two stars is because Dr. Satwani is fantastic. She's friendly, thorough and takes her time. She discovered my son's heart murmur when he was one instead of just rushing us through our appointment. HOWEVER. The place is a horror. No need to make an appointment, you'll still wait-over 45 minutes to an hour. The staff is rude and snippy. They all have attitudes, tooth sucking eye rolling and no eye contact. Forget about a smile. They look like they hate their jobs. At the front desk they all look outrageously annoyed by the sight of you-forget it if you have a question. We were scheduled for a therimisol free flu shot for my toddler. This is the only plane I know of that gives them. They called to confirm our appointment- but neglected to tell us they had no flu shots. They told me after we had been there over an hour, probably thinking they could get away with giving other immunizations and collect on the insurance. I took a day off from work and a loss of income to waste my time and put my toddler through the anxiety of a doctor's visit for nothing. I plan to complain to everyone who will listen. If I could give a lower rating and have the time to report this place I would~ There should be more pediatric facilities in bayonne that accept Medicaid! There just has to be! Should we start with patient/child negligence? There is no one in this facility that cares about their patients. PERIOD. They have a system where they just refer patients without your consent or knowledge to other "Riverside Medical Group" facilities... Any outside work you want/asked to get done for your child or even a specialist you are promptly walked to another room and sat with someone who "refers you" directly to one of their doctors which I am 100% is illegal. You as a patient have the right to CHOOSE where or what you want to do. You can't be bounced back in forth for their own fortune. There is a red flag when there is no direct way to contact this illegitimate office. UMM WHAT? How does a pediatric office NOT have a direct number. You have to go through a system and then a 3rd part to just reach...NOT the actual office... eventually someone from the office will call you back.. WHAT??? What if there was an emergency and child/infant was at the hospital and admitting doctor needed to know something..?? Please do what is best for your child and go to Broadway Pediatrics or anywhere else! They have horrible staff but atleast you have excellent healthcare for your child! I take my mom to this location was her GP. And each time I have been here, I have waited quite a bit of time even though I have an appointment. There excuse is 'We're processing your paperwork.' But what are you processing? I been here almost 45 minutes already. We're stuck with this office for insurance reasons but I wouldnt recommend it. Office staff are unprofessional. I've had a very positive experience thus far. Compared to the Metropolitan Clinic in Jersey City the wait times are very short. The staff has always been very nice to me. I know one of the girls personally and she's very kind and cares about all the patients. Dr. Thomas is very thorough going over blood work results in detail. She isn't overly quick to start throwing medications at you but when I asked her for a referral to a chiropractor she gave it to me at my very first appointment. I had been suffering from sciatica for two years and if it hadn't been for her, I'd still be in pain because every primary doctor I'd seen before her just kept giving me pills (which only covered up the symptoms) or telling me to go to physical therapy which didn't work twice. read more

For the 4-5 years that Iv been coming to this doctors office for my child (it's the nearest one that accepts my insurance) I have never in my life received a positive attitude from any of the front desk ladies. Their attitude's are ridiculous. Every time I walk in, I just get a look, no greeting and straight ignored. If I don't ask for help, it'll never be offered. I even greet, and never get a greeting back! I just get stared at, and get a pissy look when they have to speak to me. Never have I received a greeting, a smile and never have I felt welcomed to their office. The only reason I keep going is because Dr. Mahmood is the absolute BEST. Her energy is always positive and she is always great with my child, and always listened to my concerns. The staff needs to be retrained to fix their attitude and lack of service. Low rating solely for the terrible attitude from all of the front desk ladies. It's like their attitudes rub off on each other. read more

Doctors are the best but their billing and statement structure is horrible. They bill you for each follow ups and claim it with two different visits giving some rubbish explanation saying you had injection on one visit, strep and influenza on other visit which will not be considered as follow ups . we had 4 back to back follow ups for my son to have shots as his temperature was not coming down. $100.00 was charged for each visit Plus charges for the shots and any other tests done. Even though the hospital and the doctors were in the network.I finally end up paying $ 600 odd dollars for 5 visits. if you have high deductibles with your insurance you are gone. Now no more Riverside. I would recommend Riverside Doctors but not the hospital only because of their horrible billing structure. read more

On 10/16/15 I recently wrote a review but it wasn't posted. I'll quickly write what it was about. I take my child to their waterfront location but decided to take him to Bayonne because they had the flu vaccine. Needless to say, the place was chaos! The front desk girls were clearly overwhelmed and that phone kept ringing.They really need to stick with appointments only and set a time where walk in have up to a certain time. The staff did great under pressure and DR.THOMAS couldn't handle it. I will see the nurse practitioner any time , she was great ! I honestly felt bad for the girls they looked really spent. But did there best. But thats not why I'm writing this review ..to my shock and horror I and a few other parents were besides ourselves to hear within earshot of of the waiting area Dr. THOMAS cuss and berate an employee! ! Dr. Thomas seemed overwhelmed and in a bad mood, not her usual self! Truly what a let down. That's no way to conduct yourself professionally! That Dr.of the year reward must have reached her head because she talks to her staff like she's queen! I will NEVER let her see my child again knowing what a disrespectful person she is ..putting on an act for us parents. .but we seen and heard the filth that came out of her mouth. .i hope HR gets word of this. read more

I just moved to Bayonne from New York. And I had the worst expierence with an Asian doctor. (Adult side) btw.! She gave me my blood results first time. And said my platelets levels were slightly elevated. Retested me again only 5 days later and still slightly elevated and she wouldn't even take the time to tell me herself the nurse at the front desk was. First of all she's not a doctor. So i asked to see the doctor. Long story short. I asked her what it meant. She said could be a little luekimia.! Not to worry? Went to ER levels were normal. Shame on her.!!!!
