The staff here is always friendly and helpful! I don't need to visit the doctor often but they still remember me and genuinely care how me and my family are doing. They have even worked with me when I was having issues with my insurance. It's comforting to know the staff here actually cares about my wellbeing. They always make me feel better! Plus they're pretty quick about fitting in walk ins. I know if I wake up sick I will be helped shortly after arriving. Grateful they're right down the block from my house! read more

I never leave negative reviews for restaurants but as this is a doctors office, I believe other parents deserve to know what to expect before they go. I wish I knew how terrible my experience would be and saved the heartache. First and foremost the office is dirty, from the reception area to each of the rooms. When the nurse weighed our child, she stripped him entirely which is not normal (they usually leave the diaper on) and the nurse did not put down a sterile napkin or anything! Disgusting. The actual awful part- This was our 3 day post hospital discharge check up, so my newborn was 5 days old. The doctor comes in and looks at my baby and rather and answering our questions asks me for the bottle to feed him... she spent the entire visit feeding my baby and telling me that he has nipple confusion and I should NOT even try breastfeeding because it's not worth it. What type of doctor tells a first time mom not to try breastfeeding? It was the most discouraging thing I heard. Moreover, I had a list of questions to ask as a first time mom and the doctor just left and never came back. She just left and went to see another patient in the next room.... the lack of bedside manner is appalling. This could have been just this doctor, but the office is dingy and unclean and the staff have poor customer service- just don't go! read more

Since the pandemic, it has been impossible to reach someone at the office. I called multiple times today because I need an appointment and a refill on my meds. I called three times and was on hold for 30+ minutes and the other times I called I was on hold for almost 20 minutes before hanging up. This is UNACCEPTABLE. I am a patient and unable to receive proper care. It is adamantly clear patients do not come first at this office. Someone or a few someone's are NOT doing their job, and priorities are misplaced, or else I would've been able to reach someone since I started calling at 11 am. I can understand not being able to reach a hairstylist, an esthetician, a masseuse but not a doctor's office, especially during a pandemic. There should be a live representative available to help patients during business hours. Editing to add: A few weeks ago I was experiencing chronic pain. The representative on the phone assumed I had covid and would not give me an in-person appointment. She claimed I told her I had COVID when I didn't. After that, I was given a telehealth appointment, the doctor determined I needed to come into the office. I explained I could be there at 5 pm due to limited childcare. I got there at 5 pm and the doors were locked. They saw me knocking and refused to open the door. Someone from pediatrics saw me and tried to help me. She told me there was no one in the office, they all left. I told her it was impossible I saw their heads and their bodies. I was told to come in. I persisted and eventually was let in and saw the doctor in person. I wonder if they are just sitting there with the phones off or something. I joined Yelp specifically to write this review. I received a text Thursday to remind me of my appointment on Saturday morning. I went Saturday morning to my appointment. 8am appointment and arrived at 7:53am. NO ONE WAS THERE!! The office decided to CLOSE on Saturday and NOT TELL THE PATIENTS. What type of doctor's office doesn't inform their patients they are closing? Obviously one that doesn't care about them. I'm extremely annoyed. I was in the office 2 weeks ago with another sick child and I was told I can obtain my daughters immunization record by calling and providing a fax number. Today I called , I spoke with Thalia she informed me to email my request at cc@riversidemedgroup.com I got a return email stating the address is invalid . Called back thinking maybe I took the information wrong . Have been in hold over 6 mins now. Hung up called back - same thing . I stop coming to this office for this exact reason . I wish i could give more stars for this office. I originally went to the secaucus location when my son was born in 2011. Over time, that office became intolerable and my cousin suggested i switch over to their Ridgefield Park location. Best decision ever!! The staff is amazing and absolutely caring and is so great with my son. Dr Lee is one of the best pediatricians who takes the time to make my son feel welcomed and relaxed and is always concerned for the well being of children. Melissa the office manager is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure you are being taken care of and getting everything you need out of your visit. She always puts me at ease. If it wasnt for this office, i would have left Riverside pediatric group a long time ago!!! Secaucus location should take notes from this office. When you have an appointment with them, you will see the doctor within few mins of your appointment. The ladies that work there, especially Sofia, are all super friendly and efficient, and Dr. Oh is really nice. He listens well and only gives you what you need. (Ridgefield park office) When my first son was born in 2012 I heard nothing but great things about Dr. Zeyad Baker and upon meeting him as well as his brother Dr. Iyad Baker I was very pleased. Especially with how attentive Dr. Zeyad was, he gave us his cell number right away and on those late nights with a newborn he'd answer my first time mom questions quite promptly. My husband and I adored both Dr.'s . We noticed as the practice started expanding , wait times began getting longer, scheduling appointments got harder and I felt that every time we went there was a new Dr in the practice. All were kind however none were Dr. Baker. I've called the office multiple times for paperwork upon enrolling my son in school and I've gotten the run around I've been told they'd fax his physical forms to the school it took almost two weeks for that to be done. I actually had to go to the office and pick it up. At one point my son could not return to school because he had not gotten the flu shot. He had not gotten the flu shot because he is allergic to eggs and it couldn't be given to him. I asked the office for weeks to supply this information in a medical form to the school and they did not. I even called in and was told to "just give him the flu shot, he should be ok". WHAT?! The office staff is definitely not the most functional or competent and it really is a shame as the Dr's are all awesome. If you are a patient person you can get around the staff and the constant issues you may have. My advice is if you're making an appointment make sure that you have a lot of extra time and they're better to deal with face to face read more

Worst office I've ever been to. Extremely unorganized. My 9 month old daughter went to have bloodwork done here, and the woman FACETIMED her friend to ask her what to do. We've had to do bloodwork twice now, because they keep losing her results. We're going on week 3 of them not having her results, and when I call there's a new excuse each time. Waited close to 2 hours to NOT be seen by my daughter's pediatrician. Forget about scheduling appointments, this concept doesn't exist in this practice. I walked out of the room to ask what's taking so long, to find out that Dr. Lee seeing patients that walked after me (and no, kids that she saw weren't in distress that needed immediate attention since I saw them in the waiting room). It was also very obvious that she favored her own Korean patients and saw them without wait time. To make the matters worse, Dr. Lee saw me several times in the hallways with my baby and ignored me. This is not a kind of pediatrician I would like to treat my daughter for many years to come. Staff was trying to accommodate and told me to show up early in the morning to avoid waiting time... wait, but I scheduled an appointment and can't make it any other time!!!! read more

Been coming here for 3 yrs now Dr Baker is by far the best! He is precise and to the point. Today I had a measly physical scheduled for my husband and I. 8am appt was locked in the room waiting for a doctor until 10am when I stormed out. Walk ins were seen first than me makes no sense. 1.5hrs locked in that room. That's right people no more in and out. I told my husband don't bother coming. Found out Dr Baker would be at the Secaucus location for a couple of months so we left to Secaucus as walk ins. read more

My one star will go to Dr. Oh because I really like him and I think he is a good doctor. However the reason I'm not coming back is because of his staff. I got called in to come back after doing my blood work (which got me all worried btw). I have an appointment at 10am and get there on time. I need to let the receptionist know that I signed in bc she doesn't look at the clipboard. She charges me for the visit even though I explain that they called me to come just to talk about my lab results. I complain twice bc I didn't get to be seen by the doctor until 11:30am. When I see him, he says: "why are you here? Your lab results are fine." I said:"someone from here called me to come back bc you wanted to discuss my lab work". He says: "that was a mistake, I didn't ask them to call you." I throw a fit and explain how I have been waiting for an hour and a half. Dr explains that a lot of people come in without appointment. So I argued: "why does your staff let them come before me if I have an appointment?". Another complain I have of this place is that the nurse is so racist, every time I go, she assumes I speak korean and look ignorantly at me when I say I don't. read more

If I could give this practice ZERO STARS I would but that is not an option for yelp. This place does not understand the concept of appointments. What sense does it make to set an appointment if I have to wait 2 hours to be seen. Arrived for my 4:30pm appointment w Dr. Lee at 4:10pm. The front desk staff screwed up b/c they call my child's name at 4:50pm to ask if there were any changes & to let me know Dr. Lee was leaving at 5pm & she could not see me..Are you serious!!! I was told that I could see Dr. Veces if I wanted or can make another appointment to see Dr Lee total disrespect especially of my time. I was tempted to leave but drove 20 mins and already had been waiting almost an hour. Was called to the patient room at 5:05pm nurse completed vitals bp, height, weight & temperature and I was told the doctor would be in shortly...It is now 6:04pm and I'm still waiting. Dr. Veces came in the patient room at 6:12pm checked ears, mouth, reflexes and eyes w/ a light but no eye exam.. Lucky for me I have a appointment w/ the ophthalmologist smh. If I didnt ask for blood work then I would have been on my way. I thought annuals were suppose to be thorough guess not w/ this practice. In 2012 when I stumbled upon this practice it was great. Dr. Iyad Baker was our pediatrician no complaints. Out of nowhere our pediatrician was changed no one told us..every time we scheduled an appointment they would schedule it w/ whoever was there. Kids are use to consistency so switching up pediatricians is a No No. Over the years as they expanded it only has gotten worse every location especially the one in Secaucus; the wait times are excessive appointment or not & only to be seen by the doctor for 5 -8 minutes.. REALLY. Stop over booking PLEASE. I understand one may have to wait a bit but 2 hours with an appointment is ridiculous. I'm searching for another pediatrician I cannot subject my child to this. I have been going to this office for a few years now. There was an issue with getting my prescriptions to E-Scripts a couple years ago. The office would say they faxed them and E-Scripts never getting them. Then there's the fact that on my yearly psychical I yet to see the same doctor more then once. Now I made an appointment a month ago. Got a txt message reminding me about my appointment two days before, and again the day before, only to get a call at 5 telling me the office would be closed the next day. I also had trouble with the Maywood office. My first appointment was cancelled while I was driving to the office. My second appointment I was asked to come back in 2 hours as the doctor was running late. Only to come back and be told that there was only four people in front of me. After waiting 2 and half hours and asking why I was waiting so long, I was told to reschedule my appointment for another day. My next appointment turned out to be more of the same. Again I was told four people in front of me, only to wait over two hours with seeing nobody in the waiting room go in. When I first went to Riverside I felt that they really care about their patience's. Now I get the feeling that I'm just one more cattle. read more

Absolutely LOVE the Ridgefield Park Pediatrics office!! Being new to the area I needed to take my daughter to a new doctor. Being a teen she is not yet an adult but still more comfortable with a pedi, we saw Dr. Clara Lee - we both just LOVE her! She is so cool, so down to earth, talks to my daughter and myself and explains all so we are clear and understanding of everything. Had to go there one time and Dr. Lee was not available so we saw Dr. Palina, she too was just great! I cannot say nothing negative about this office. From my very 1st call to make a first new patient appointment (which they gave me that day) to every visit we had, they are all very nice. When I have called each time they gave me an appt for that day. The staff are all so nice and polite too. read more

Horrible service. They cancel an appointment booked over month a ago whenever they choose. After the cancellation my husband booked another appointment which overlapped another doctor's appointment. I called the number listed in their card asking to move the appointment earlier. The male receptionist said to come earlier and they will try to accommodate me. I went to the appointment earlier and sat waiting for 15 min then they told me my appointment was canceled. They defer responsibility because the call service was the one who cancelled. Usually, The secaucus location is GREAT. I made an appointment at the Ridgefield Park location at 10am and waited in the room over an hour to be seen by the doctor. When I informed the nurse that I really didn't feel well and to give me an estimated time, she basically told me "you just have to wait." This location has no sense of urgency when coming to treating their patients. No one checked in on me, they weren't concern about my other appointments that I had schedule for the rest of the day (that I missed) it was honestly one of my worst Visits. read more

I've tried out 3 Riverside locations in the past couple of years as I have moved to a new home. The only semi normal location is their Hoboken office and Dr. Raj Bhrambat who will actually spend real time listening to you and explain things when needed. Their Secaucus location is complete hell, they are always packed, nobody is really too friendly and the doctors will literally spend 2 minutes with you before they leave to the next patient. After moving I decided to try the Ridgefield Park location which had pretty good reviews, so I was hopeful. Went in for an 8 AM appointment on a Saturday for a standard physical, waited an hour in the front when they only had about 4 other patients there; and then another hour locked up in the patient room. Finally, the doctor came in, he didn't seem he had a clue and didn't bother to read any of the details in my chart (which doesn't actually have much on there, it would have take him maybe 5 mins to look over...) He rushed me out in a mere 2 minutes, did not answer any questions even though I wanted to get some information on getting pregnant (kind of important for someone that wants to become a 1st-time mommy) I left with nothing but anger. Then it took about 5 phone calls from my end to their office to find out that my blood test results came back days ago and nobody bothered to reach out to me and notify that I had a bladder infection. Needless to say the doctor himself never called or referred any treatment and they always transferred my calls to a nurse or medical assistant. The doctor's name is Ghassan Wardeh and I will not be returning to him and any of the Riverside Medical Group offices again. read more
