So I had to take a typing test and they were the first to pop up. When I called May answered the phone. She was pleasant and very informative. She let me know where they were located how much it would cost and to make sure I brought my ID, and also that once there to knock on the door because they do keep it locked. Once there May greeted me and got me set up for my test. She was just as professional in person. I would totally use this agency if I were looking for a job. Came for a typing certificate. My first few tries I did not get the average I wanted and I was in a rush since I needed the certificate within the next few days. I let Mae know and she was able to let me take another test. She let me review what was impacting my average and she also let me practice typing to get familiar with the keyboard there before my second test. She was super nice and helpful! I worked for them many many years ago. They gave me a temp position and after a family member got into a horrific car accident and I had an emergency needing to leave for the day -they fired me two days before Christmas because of this. The company they matched me with offered to keep me on and acknowledged that Riverside Personnel handled my situation very unprofessionally. I found other work. I did try to give them a second chance another few years later and they refused to work with me. Never again. Unprofessional. I went to Riverside Personnel right after graduating from Cal State San Bernardino because my cousin recommended them. I needed temp work to get through the summer until I started my teaching job for Moreno Valley USD in September. I wasted an entire morning in their office completing pre-employment paperwork, testing, and an interview, time I'll never get back. I have over 25 years work experience and two university degrees. However, despite checking in with their office weekly I was never placed in a single job, and the receptionist who was supposed to help me was very rude and cold toward me. Not only that, but while walking down the hallway on my way to their computer room to complete pre-employment testing a female employee walked past me and said to me, "You've got great tits!" I have worked for A LOT of temp and personnel agencies over the years, and I have to say the Riverside Personnel Services is by far the best one!!! I started last December by coming in to get a typing certificate, and I was VERY impressed with the front office person -- Magen. She has just the right amount of friendliness and business sense. I asked her if the company was accepting applications, and she said yes. After the holidays, I sent in my resume and came in for an interview with Catina. She asked all the right questions, and listened to me explain by experience, skills, and needs. I came ready with samples of my work from the last few years. [Don't worry if you're a little rusty on Excel or whatever. As an applicant, they have software on which you can practice while waiting for an assignment. What other company does that?!]. All I wanted was to work part-time. So far I've been on 4 assignments and each one seems tailored-made to my experience and the company's needs. I honestly didn't even feel like I was working!!! Catina and Cheryl really have a knack for getting the best out of you, and matching your skills with the company's needs. Don't go anywhere else!! The interview was professional and very thorough. Catina & staff are amazing! Went in and met with them for an informal interview, it was nice they made me feel like they truly wanted to get to know me as a person. Took the tests and was called to interview that week, got the job! (Which I love!) Catina called after my interview, after a week or so of employment, etc. to check in on me. I just recently emailed in search of another part time position and she was more than happy to help. People who are giving low ratings must be because they didnt get a call back or get hired on at a place they love... The temp agency can only do so much. The girls do a great job trying to work with the experience you have, but they can't create experience or make you do well on the tests. The tests aren't very hard & they allow you to retake.. if you don't want to you clearly don't want a job bad enough. No temp agency can't work magic, if you aren't qualified, don't have a good resume, can't meet the clients expectations, etc. that's not their fault. I would recommend them to anyone & so would my employer! read more

This is probably by far the worst experience had with a temp agency, especially since they are supposed to be field orientated. They list available jobs on their site and you call and ask about them to get a "you're still active and someone will call you back." Except no one calls you back and week after week you just say active. I know that sometimes it can take time to get placed but going into month number 3 and not even 1 placement prospect? They have you take all these test you score great (except 1 area , but why drive down and waste gas to retake a test when they show no interest in you as a perspective employable candidate). But a positive to the negative things as long as you're active if there are programs you're not to sure how to use or you need to freshen up on you can request training that can be emailed to you and you can practice at home. Hearing so many positive things about this company prior to signing up I thought my experience would be different, but sadly they're not any better than a regulator staffing agency which gets you calls back faster, although since not industry specific the pay rates suck which still leave you looking for work unless you're willing to compromise your intelligence, work experience and degrees. It's funny because I got an email from them about referring someone for a dental assistant position. That sometimes they get positions they don't usually fill but if you know someone refer them. Well it would be nice if they found some jobs for their eligible candidates prior to getting money for a position in a field that they don't even specialize in. read more

The moment I walked into riverside personnel, I had restored hope. They make you feel at home the moment you walk through the door. Not even two weeks after joining riverside personnel, they had a position for me. I have now been at this position for over 4 months and was just recently hired on as a permanent employee. Yeah they will find you a job quickly. But once placed at a job site you will realize why that job was vacant in the first place. HANDS DOWN THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER WORKED AT. I would recommend when interviewing for a job site to ASK WHY THE JOBS IS VACANT IN THE FIRST PLACE AND THE AVERAGE TIME SPAN THE POSITION IS USUALLY FILLED FOR. Oh, and don't expect these people to have your back, they care mostly for the employer than the employee and it's because that is where they are getting their revenue from. So it is understandable, but EXPECT to be treated like a commodity and not like a human being, sadly. Your work ethic will slightly come into consideration. Thanks for nothing. read more
