Other companies don't care and they have you work without proper training. Onboarding and orientation was very easy with Jessie. He was very helpful and professional. I've worked for this company for a while now and they are not professional. They don't train their supervisors on all site and when a supervisor has to hold post, they pond their work off on other people. This company don't keep their word and they lie to your face. They can't find adequate relief and they threaten you if you don't stay. They tell you will get a write up and will possibly loss your job. They also let people drive even though those employees can't see a foot ahead of them. If you want to work in the office, I advise you not to. They play favorite, in order to do anything, you have to kiss up to them. The upper management talks about employees and not in the good way. They HR is very unprofessional when you call, he does not answer, it's rare that he calls you back. Then you have the VP she lies to clients about the employees. She would also chat with HR about employees and how horrible they are, and she would even do that to the dispatchers. She doesn't care that they could hear her. And last the main man in the company the big boss. He used to care about his employees but ever since his old second in hand had to quit it hasn't been the same. He cares more about keeping clients happy even though they aren't then taking care of his employees. He talks out his butt and don't keep promises. Worked for this company for 2 months. Did 16 hour shifts with no problem because we have been short staffed every since they got the contract in Moreno Valley. Company is very unappreciative towards guards. I was terminated over the managers ( Megan & Cpt. Hernandez ) making up a lie with no documentation of me " bullying " a co worker. ( I literally got along with everyone) after working a 14 hour shift they terminated me without thorough investigation. I went in and spoke with Hr. Kevin and he apologized and gave me my job back because we was unaware of the incident and they did not follow protocol and embarrassed. Couple weeks later here we are short staffed and having a drill I volunteered to stay over & it was approved by dispatch ( Walter ) and I was yelled at and embarrassed in front of employees at the site by corporal Rodriguez because I stayed for the drill after the guard had asked team lead if it was OK if I stay. Two hours after the drill and then Corporal decides to bother me on the other side of the lobby and tell me I won't be compensated for time I've stayed there because it was not approved, why am I here, I shouldn't be here, just very nasty & unprofessional. Hr did not want to investigate the situation so they just terminated me from the company based off of what Corporal had went back and said once again after me pulling a 14 hour shift. I began working at Nationwide Guard Services on Nov. 7, 2018. I am deeply grateful for being hired by them. I was given a post where the trucking Co. had very serious theft problems and no suspects. This gave me an opportunity to use my "detective" skills and figure out how the thefts were committed. I did that and the thefts stopped. On Dec. 14, 2019, a truck driver was killed in the truck yard by being hit with his own truck. A very tragic event, to say the least. But I was there with 2 other guards to assist the emergency services and police to do their investigation. Both of these situations allowed me to show that as a Security Officer that what we do matters. The staff is unprofessional and no one likes to return phone calls in the office. They will send you far from home and it's not worth the gas money at all. The communication is horrible between supervisors and employees. They have sent me to certain sites claiming no one is at work, when someone is already there. You don't know when your relief will show up and you don't get paid well enough to survive on your own. There's no moving up in the company either. The supervisors get paid only a little bit more than the guards. The benefits are horrible too. I would suggest looking somewhere else to work. read more

Nationwide is awesome place to work. They provide work schedules that can accommodate your at home life, school schedules, an appointments. The owner of the company is awesome and he has an open door policy, and he is super involved. The scheduling manager Donna does whatever she can to get you an accommodating schedule. There's always plenty of OT to pick up if you want. Our recruiters are super friendly and will help you each step of the way through the hiring and onboarding process. Everyone in the office and supervisors out in the field are extremely supportive and helpful. Their goal really is make sure you succeed. It seems most of the reviews are by prior employees. This review is by an ordinary citizen who had contact with the employees in the field/working at various locations/businesses in southern California. I have had no problems with the workers in my 10+ encounters with the staff. As with everything in life/company you have negativity. Most of the time you only hear about the bad stuff (example, the news, media, bad cops, etc), if you had a positive experience with something you are less likely to write a review.
