The first day there included a care conference with family, case manager, social worker, nurses, aides, physical therapist and Dr. Rolando Gutierrez. The plan of care was created after careful listening by the doctor and the staff to patient/family concerns. The plan was then implemented consistently over his 6 week stay. The nurses and case manager maintained necessary updates while also responding to my calls in real time. They were all professional and thoughtful. The facility itself is modern, clean and has large patient rooms. The physical therapy room is also large, modern and welcoming. There is a place for patients to safely sit outside. We feel fortunate in having the recovery phase in this skilled nursing facility. When we really needed help the staff who work in this modern facility came through beautifully. He was released after 2 wks, unable to walk & in tremendous pain. When he requested 911 to be called called staff manhandling error, they ignored him. They do not wash their hands from room to room, and due to this dismal like of basic hygiene, he now has MSRA. I just called Ryan @ the Springs the only Mgr that is proactive, and alerted him to MSRA is in the wild @ Springs. The food is processed & horrible. Most of the CNAs are untrained, and this is a cash cow for the greedy, and often sued owner. Google the 2.5 mil lawsuit he just lost, he owns hundreds of these Skilled Nursing Care Rehabs. Many, more than 10 per hall, sit in their wheelchairs, outside their room all day. Looking drugged & lost. Some of them repeatedly requesting a blanket. Most looking more than half dead. If you care about your loved one find another facility.

The therapist, Mallory Physell, stated that I was not permitted to participate in therapy with my children because I allegedly lacked "clearance" from social services. This claim is completely false, unsupported, and unsubstantiated. No documentation, court order, or agency directive exists that would prohibit my involvement. Ironically, repairing and supporting my relationship with my children is the very reason this therapist was engaged. When I asked Ms. Physell to clarify her statement or provide a reference to a case, policy, or California law that would prevent my participation, she admitted that she did not know and was unable to cite anything. Despite this, she maintained her position and refused to provide further explanation, stating she was "too busy" to address the issue. I found this conduct unprofessional, dismissive, and deeply concerning--especially given the significant impact such statements can have on family relationships. Making unsupported claims about a parent's ability to participate in therapy creates unnecessary division and undermines the therapeutic purpose. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this facility to families seeking collaborative, ethical, and informed therapeutic support.

As if I was not capable of getting better. One time he mentioned that I "hired" him . . . as if I could not reject or disagree with what he was saying. I stayed with him for one year. He is friendly and easy to converse with; just judgemental. He is capable of helping, but you have to take "the good with the bad." The real problem was with the subsequent therapists. What I remember of Lauren is that she yelled a lot; screaming at me as if I was a bad child. Gail was friendly, but I imagined her nagging me to accomplish my goals. I did not stay with her. Jonathan was the worse. He was defensive from the very start. In the first "session," he asked me what my goals for therapy were? I said that I did not know. He responded: "How do you expect me to work with you if you don't have any goals?!?" I had another "therapist" after Jonathan, that wanted to know why I did not work out with Jonathan? That was all she wanted to talk about. That's all she asked, and she was upset, raising her voice and demanding an answer. Over the telephone, I talked with a guy named Crowe, who said that he would not give me another therapist because I've already worked with six of their therapists and did not like any of them. The thing is, he made it sound like I was at fault. 100%. Because of Crowe's self-righteous and condescending attitude, I feel this is a dangerous place. Therapists are not saints. What they do have, though, is a responsibility to the client, which a number of them did not show.

I have an amazing job and saw that even tho I was very functioning in real life deep down I was suffering daily and needed help because I couldn't do it on my own and I'll fully admit that. The moment you walk through those doors you feel welcomed. The staff will teach you so many coping mechanisms and with group therapy you'll get to express yourself and hear like minded people tell their stories. I was able to finally get on my correct medication regimen and my mental health has NEVER been better. I feel 100% again. Jerilyn is such an amazing councilor and I loved how vulnerable she was telling her all her stories that were so relatable. She is there to help you. She was the first person that made me realize I was in the right place and I'll forever cherish that. Jimmy is a stellar councilor and was so spiritual I loved our groups hearing him speak and teach you'll see a change in you each session. He gave us all great advice with great coping mechanism skills. Yanna I'm gonna miss her so much and our late night talks she will sit and speak with you and actually be there in the present and listen to what you have to say. She was also so welcoming with her group sessions. She also works with out patient so I can't wait to see her again! Vanessa and Derrick are both councilors who also work with their outpatient program and they are both there to help us continue our recovery and keep our sobriety strong. Both of them were great with their groups and shared valuable information and tools for recovery. Christine was our therapist and she was AMAZING ! She really is there and listens to what you have to say and cares so much about your process with the program. She's helped me so much with our 1on1 sessions and I'm very grateful for that. I learned so much about myself and applied so much of what I learned with her groups. Jorge, Will, Trisha, Kylie and Arsalan all were apart of the intake process and were so welcoming and chill they make you feel like family. The bond I made with everyone here at RCR was so real and I did NOT expect that to happen at all. In fact I didn't even know if doing this would actually change me. It wasn't until I started to actually feel different and I started taking things day by day and following the process. That's when I knew this was different. Our son is smart, kind, handsome but so compassionate and sensitive it hurt him terribly. Kids in their twenties are so absorbent when it comes to death. I wish he didn't have to learn it at this age. My husband lost his mother, sister, and brother tragically and I lost both my parents in the same three years. Our son is the one that took all of our hurt and sorrow internally. He cried with us and made us food and took care of our whole family during these times in our lives. Unfortunately he felt exhausted and could not do it anymore and took to other vices. First, smoking marijuana, then dabs, then pills, and in two years was a mess. This program is teaching him to live with pain and guilt. I love this program. It is bringing our son home sober, very knowledgeable and strong.
