This isn't a deal breaker for me because she is much cheaper than others. But when I saw her, she pulled out an old textbook to show me the positions she would use on me, and the spine model--which honestly felt like she was just legitimizing herself--and had me do some small exercizes. She did a sort of spine massage, and a couple back stretches and that was it. She thinks it's pinched nerves, but I am pretty sure I pulled those muscles when running, so I'm not even sure about her assessment. She did a lot of talking and a lot less doing, and I'm not sure what she did was worth the $65. She seems like she's mostly retired but keeps the place open for the few that don't want to pay regular rates. Nice as she is, it just didn't feel professional or even super helpful. I think I'll go to a regularly priced place next.

Recently moved back to Calgary after spending 8 years in Qatar (Middle East) where the medical care is top notch and medical staff listen to patients, taking as much time as patient needs. Marilyn, physiotherapist, fulfilled all of my requirements which were the same personable service as in Qatar. I sought treatment post surgery on my ulna bone where the bone plugs (where screws were removed) filled with what felt like sharp sharks teeth. Within 4 sessions, the bone growth normalized and mobility increased. I highly recommend Westbrook Physio on Bow Trail. Should I need another physiotherapist in Calgary, she is the gal for me! Thank you for the wonderful knowledgeable service. Joanne Divine

I have purchased 5 pairs of orthotics from various vendors with excellent results up until now! RUN…read moreaway from Cascade now!! Cascade personnel were less than "customer focused" or "professional". After my custom orthotics were made, during the fitting I immediately noticed that one orthotic was shaped differently than the other (there is an odd and random bump (not my arch!)), however the orthotist stated that this was due to my feet being different. She dismissed my concern by insisting my feet are different from each other. (However, note that all of my other orthotics are symmetrical and I never once developed blisters from them either during break-in or after years of use.) After walking in the new orthotics for a few hours as recommended, during the first 20 minutes of running I immediately developed a large blister in the same spot I noticed the abnormal shape. The orthotist had clearly stated during fitting that if I developed any problems whatsoever to call right away and come in. So, I called, but rather than booking an appointment I was told to "keep wearing them for a few weeks and see what happens". After the blister healed I wore them for walking a few hours a day as prescribed, but after an additional "break-in period", the first time I ran in them I got another huge blister in the same spot. Second problem: the orthotics were cut too short for my runners due to an assumption and lack of communication on the part of the orthotist. The suggested options to remedy this problem is that either I pay an additional $70 to have the orthotics lengthened, or I pay full price ($425) for another pair - Cascade takes no responsibility for addressing concerns at their own cost, even when at fault. Side note--The receptionist in less than professional and barks orders at you. The Orthotist was clear on a few things - she would not take any responsibility for cutting the orthotics too short; but could be added to at my cost! She removed some material to attempt to remedy the blistering problem, but if that does not resolve the issue all she will do is remove more material from the base of the orthotic, which leaves the curious "bump" in place as it is. I have no choice but to try them again and see if the blister re-appears, and if it does I'm pretty much out of options. Most disturbing was the way I was spoken to. The orthotist was confrontational and defensive, and neither of my concerns were addressed to my satisfaction. There was no admission of fault for cutting the orthotics too short, rather she insisted that she followed their normal procedure. My suggestion that there could have been additional communication before the adjustments was met with a blank stare. She offered very little to address my concerns. At this point I would only be satisfied with a refund, but Cascade does not offer refunds on custom orthotics - period. Beware - if your fitting goes wrong in any way, you will be on the hook for costs - not them, regardless of where the problems stem from. RUN RUN RUN! This is the first time I've had an issue and am not pleased with their lack of solution or assistance in this matter. RUN.

Save your time, your money, and most importantly your well being. This clinic is an absolute scam, a money grab for vulnerable people. I have recently been through some traumatic abuse, as a part of my healing I had saved up to go to Ananta. I had researched hypnotherapy and hoped it would be a suitable choice for someone going through what I have. I called and spoke to reception explaining my situation, she said they had helped people like myself before, and there was nothing I needed to worry about. I booked in for a 2 hour session, to ensure all concerns were addressed and that this was in fact a safe option. That was confirmed to me again when I showed up for my appointment. I explained that I was extremely fragile, and needed this experience to reset some negative messages and hopefully achieve a deeper sense of relaxation. I explained the recent trauma I had been through and she said she understood. After a half hour consultation, I felt safe enough to go under hypnosis with this woman, Jill Fisher. It began with what I had been expecting, basic visualizations, in addition to a surprise of with music for my brainwaves. She went through a few visualizations and what came next shocked and surprised me. I wish that I had jumped off the table and ran before she was able to so the damage she did. I hadnt 'gone under', nothing had changed at all. she began asking me to relive the abuse that I had recently left. I said I was uncomfortable with that, and she pushed further. Forcing me to remember disgusting details, feelings and emotions that came with it. i was in, if anything, a more suggestible state, going over what she wanted me to made me want to crawl out of my own skin. I asked her to stop, said nothing had changed, and that I was becoming agitated and uncomfortable. I had worked very had on my own to work through these memories in a safe way, she brought them to a level inside of me where I felt I should explode.she did attempt to correct what she had done, but the visualizations she used were so basic, nothing I hadnt already tried on my own.. i couldnt calm down from a panic attack thinking about pretty balloons. what i needed was a sedative. It was not comfortable, not relaxing, and not safe. 5 days later and Im grateful I havent done any harm to myself. I have PTSD, that was said to be understood by this 'therapist' but what she did brought me right back into a memory, that I cannot seem to get out of. i left the appointment as my mother paid the $250 fee. I collapsed outside and cried, so scared and not knowing what to do. I went back in to try and reach out to her, explain that i wasnt okay and was feeling unstable. she proceeded to her next appointment, saying only "good luck" Her only suggestion was to join Landmark(look into cults if you are unsure) which is a method of breaking people down to bring them back up. i was broken enough, and did in no way/shape/form request that, i asked for the opposite experience and was comforted that I was going to be receiving it. i was very much deceived. i made it through the night after the appointment with my family close at hand and by calling the distress centre. I got no aftercare or even a contact number. I messaged the general email for the clinic hoping for some assistance and received some advice from Jill the next day. She advised me to "pamper myself, think happy thoughts, and seek out her $80/ half hour life coaching". I am absolutely disgusted by this experience. i put in alot of trust, asked alot of questions. If i wanted this experience/feeling I would have gone back to my abusive ex partner and saved some money. Please do your research people. The mind is not something to be played with by unqualified people, let this be your example.
