My husband had highly recommended that I see his chiropractor, and after a year I finally gave in. I was reluctant at first because I was afraid that my back and neck issues were too complex and could somehow get worse, or that it wouldn't help much. My only regret now is that I didn't go sooner!! I've been seeing Dr. Glenn Doan for treaments for a few months now and he's an amazing chiropractor! He's had a lot of education in his field and is very highly skilled. He is also a very nice person and you can tell that he really cares about his clients. The receptionists Dais and Mayra are always friendly too and very accommodating when booking your next appointments. I honestly never thought I could live a life without pain - Glenn's treatments have been life changing. I'm 30 yrs old now and have had spine issues since I was a child. The aggressive acupuncture treatments in particular have worked wonders in my neck, and the adjustments are fantastic! I feel so much better now on a daily basis and sleep better too. Dr Houbi is not understanding and just always wants to prescribe medication for absolutely anything. He is always running at least half an hr late. Don't waste your time at this clinic. Only reason why I stayed a patient for the duration that I did was because of the shortage of family doctors in the city.

I called to book the appointment the day before, the receptionist was really friendly. They were full up for same day massages but she got me in for the next day. Time's usually start at quarter to the hour. A 1 hour massage was $84. including tax, so not bad. When I showed up I told the massage therapist about my back injuries from previous car accidents and she checked out my back, the way I stood and looked at my hips. She told me she'd focus on those areas, my hamstrings, my lower back, my hips, my upper back and shoulders. When she started she putting a heating pad on my lower back to warm it up and moved it around through the massage. It was really nice to get the areas I needed fixed focuses on. Sometimes when you go for a massage they spend so much time doing a full body relaxation massage that you don't end up getting your back worked on enough. Overall it was a great experience and I'll definitely come back.

The first day was my assessment appointment and it was done by Andrew whom I found to be understanding, considerate and knowledgeable. All of the following sessions were handled by Enoch who was also very knowledgeable in post operative therapy. Each class began with 15 minutes of warm up exercises led by Allie. I wasn't at all sure how a group class would work for me but it turned out to be pleasant and most importantly successful. The guidance and instruction given to ensure that I followed and did the exercises correctly without issue was very helpful. This isn't a deal breaker for me because she is much cheaper than others. But when I saw her, she pulled out an old textbook to show me the positions she would use on me, and the spine model--which honestly felt like she was just legitimizing herself--and had me do some small exercizes. She did a sort of spine massage, and a couple back stretches and that was it. She thinks it's pinched nerves, but I am pretty sure I pulled those muscles when running, so I'm not even sure about her assessment. She did a lot of talking and a lot less doing, and I'm not sure what she did was worth the $65. She seems like she's mostly retired but keeps the place open for the few that don't want to pay regular rates. Nice as she is, it just didn't feel professional or even super helpful. I think I'll go to a regularly priced place next.

I sought treatment post surgery on my ulna bone where the bone plugs (where screws were removed) filled with what felt like sharp sharks teeth. Within 4 sessions, the bone growth normalized and mobility increased. I highly recommend Westbrook Physio on Bow Trail. Should I need another physiotherapist in Calgary, she is the gal for me!
