After having some very positive experiences at Riversong yesterday I had the worst veterinary experience of my life. I have had dogs for over 50 years and they are part of my family. Yesterday I took our Springier their because he was not eating. Dr Ann and her assistant started roughly treating him. He was shacking so badly that you could have strapped a paint can to him to shack it. Then she started berating for being an irresponsible pet owner. She stated that this dog has not been cared for properly nor been under the care of a vet. At this point I decided to take my dog else where and Dr. Ann told me that his issues were heart related. They were not. Her accusations that our pets do not receive proper care are baseless - we have had two of our other dogs there and spent thousands of dollars there. I WOULD NEVER TAKE AN ANIMAL THERE! WHEN SHE IS GOOD SHE IS GOOD - BUT BASED ON HOW SHE TREATED MY DOG AND SPOKE TO ME IS UNACCEPTABLE. IF YOU LOVE YOUR DOG AVOID THIS PLACE! read more

The entire staff is very friendly, caring, and compassionate. I took my 10 yr old dog in for an ACL injury. Dr. Ann was very through and answered any questions I had....she took as much time as I needed. Thanks to everyone for a great first experience. read more

We have been regular clients for over a year. 2 days ago they saw my friend's dog for an eye infection (the day after our dogs spent the day together). Today my dog has the same eye thing as her dog, so I called first thing in the morning (today, Friday, 9am). They can't get us in until Monday, and won't give me the ointment they gave her dog without an appointment. They said, "it'll be ok to wait through the weekend." So my dog is supposed to suffer through the weekend with a very gross and uncomfortable eye infection because they won't fit us in, and won't give us the medicine even though we know exactly what it is and where he got it. They advised me to take him to the emergency vet 45 minutes away if I felt he needed care sooner. No compassion for the poor dog at all. We'll be switching vets ASAP. We love Dr. Sauer, but this is not an acceptable way to treat an animal and I've lost all trust in them. read more

We took our dog here whom has some special health needs, and it was very negative experience. First off we didn't actually see the doctor we asked to see, which was a turn off to start with. We would have rescheduled if we would have been told the doctor was unavailable. Then in the examination the vet tech literally talked all over the doctor, the actual doctor never got a word in edge wise. We won't be returning. I don't have confidence in a doctor who can't actually speak up and answer my questions. I certainly don't have confidence in a clinic that bait-and-switches the doctors on you. If you want to see a specific person, that is your right as the CUSTOMER. read more

Our 14 yr old dog gets accupuncture by Dr. Ann at Riversong. It is keeping her active and pain-free. Dr. Ann is very intuitive regarding her health issues and we are using accupuncture to help with joints, kidney, and liver function as well as overall health and wellbeing. The staff is very involved in our dog's care. They are friendly, professional, and competent. They work as a team. I would wholeheartedly recommend Riversong and Dr. Ann. read more

Recently moved to the area and had to find a new vet. The folks at Riversong were very friendly and thorough. I was very surprised at the reasonable cost of the exam- less than our old vet in SC (which is usually the opposite, most things in NC are more expensive than SC). They took care of what we came in for and actually addressed a couple of other things as well. read more

Good people. Friendly and happy to help. We've been bringing our dog here since moving to town, after a less than desirable experience at another Vet. Sometimes Riversong may fall short on offering advice, or give you too much other times, depends what tech you get, but that's fine with us. read more

Dr. Ann is remarkable with handling and caring for dogs. She is very sensitive and the dogs respond very well to her 'energy'.

Took Mr. BoJangles in for removal of a cyst on his eyelid and for tooth cleaning. High confidence in Dr Ann - the procedures were done quickly and Bo is a happy pup (13 years old) The work was done as a result of a consultation in October, with her recommendation for follow up in a couple of months. She was right on the money with her forecast of when the work would be needed. She takes the time before and post-op to be certain that the pet owner is fully informed, in as much detail as the owner wants. I'll be going back for all Bo's needs. read more
