Judy, her husband, and her staff were absolutely wonderful. It's taken me two years to finally write a review, but I would not have picked any other place for our wedding. The venue itself is beautiful and with the fall colors during our October 2019 wedding, Judy helped to accommodate us in what we had pictured for our big day. Her staff was incredibly attentive all night, supportive and friendly to all of our guests, and the food was absolutely delicious. This is a great restaurant with an awesome staff. We hosted our 10-year high school reunion here and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming, flexible, and accommodating. Stopped by to have a drink with a friend and check out the menu for future dining plans. Never have I been made to feel more welcome and at home! Judy the owner is a doll and went out of her way to make sure we felt comfortable and taken care of! The bartenders were fabulous and very entertaining and friendly, Rick in particular went out of his way to introduce patrons to each other and amuse us! The menu prices looked very reasonable, and the young man sitting next to us had an amazing looking steak dinner, which he raved about! We will be back for sure! The location, disregarding the RV park, is very nice. We used this venue for a wedding in June. The setup for the wedding was picturesque. We planned for the cocktail hour inside. First mistake: it was way too crowded with just a handful of tables for over 100 people and one bar tender and one buffet to have Riverview staff serve you. Long wait for a small plate and cup with no place to set them down to enjoy, The dining room was plenty large enough with a nice dance spot. Problem two came when the room overheated, being so warm that guest continued to complain throughout the night that it was too hot. One of the wait staff told us the AC was broken. The food for dinner was just ok, brisket was very tough, pulled pork could of had more flavor, baked potatoes would have been excellent with more toppings. The cake our baker provided was perfect, except Riverview "overlooked" a whole sheet in their walkin cooler! Thus the guest were only given tiny little slivers of cake. Many wondered why the cake was so small.. I called Riverview three days after the event to ensure we had picked up all our decorations. I then questioned Judy about a tray of cake a guest had seen go back into the kitchen, asking her if I could get it. " I served that to my staff." she replied. Really? this is normal? I asked if the bride and groom might by chance get a little refund for the inconvenience of no AC. Judy Shey immediately said absolutely not. It was not until later in the week that Judy "found" the sheet cake! She called the bride, my daughter, to have her come get it! UMMM this is the cake that should have been served! It is now stall. I called Judy again requesting a portion refunded for the cake. "NO" and a rude hang up. One more try with the explanation that a sheet of cake cost over $100.00. No heart, no compensation, she did not care. read more

We went there last weekend and I will never go back. Ordered the steak and it had bbq sauce on it that was not good at all. I sent it back and asked for it plain. It came back tasting of the same sauce so I sent it back. To top off the bad experience the owners wife, Judy, came over and explained to me that it is all cooked in sauce and so they cannot cook a plain steak on the grill as it is in the grill and that I will not be able to get a plain steak there or anywhere else for that matter. She further explained that no restaurant could ever make a plain steak. Funny!!! I order plain steaks everywhere I go from Hoss's to Ruth's Chris and I have never had a problem ever. Just here!!! Not only does she give me that bullshit she takes it as far as to go to every table around me and tell them to try and degrade me. Seriously how totally unprofessional and childish!!!!! I will never go back there and suggest you don't either!!! No customer should have to endure that kind of ignorant and immoral behavior! She only embarrassed herself and I do not see anyone staying in business very long with that kind of an attitude! I was embarrassed for the wait staff and her husband. She even went as far as to tell the other tables she would get me as a customer. "Not that way honey I will never come back after the way I was treated." The ironic part is I loved the atmosphere despite the steak and would have come back until she started doing that. That ignorance made the whole night come to a screeching halt and I couldn't wait to get out of there I was so pissed. I went straight to the car as he paid the bill cause even after the meal she still was going on with the bs and condescending attitude, "I guess you wont be coming back." Well gee keep talking and maybe eventually you will figure it out. OMG!!! She doesn't even know when to quit! Not everyone is going to like the sauce so get over yourself and learn to deal with it as I am not the only person that won't like it that I am sure. You have to be able to take the good with the bad! What's gonna make a place stand out is how you handle the situation and let me say this way is only gonna make you look bad! The gentleman I was with has gone here over the past seventeen year. He was shocked and appalled at her attitude as well and will not be going back as he couldn't believe how she acted and even went as far as to tell her we have ordered plain steaks a lot of other places and have never had a problem. What are they going to do for customers who may have an allergy to bbq??? read more

We had our son's wedding rehearsal dinner at the Riverview Inn and we were very pleased. The quality of the food was excellent. All the meats were most, tender, and very tasty. The atmosphere was fabulous and the owner, Judy, was more than helpful during the entire event. She made the experience stress free.
