I see old reviews on here and mine is as of March 2023. Konrads unfortunately no longer has the building and seating that it used to, but they still do catering and take out. The food is spectacular. He recently catered my grand daughter's birthday party for 40 and everything was delicious. The chicken picata is especially delicious, but there was also sliders, sandwiches, meatballs, salads and cookies. Prices are reasonable too, and while you do need to order in advance (and who wouldn't for a party), it is so worth it. If you are weekenders in the area, order a tray of anything and take it home with you. Can't say enough good things about this place. read more

Very good food, and a varied menu. Great take out dinners. They also serve breakfast however they are not open on Sunday. I wish they were. Definitely worth a visit. read more

I really like the cozy atmosphere of the place and food was very nice too. I had a special of the day, Mediterranean Broiled Haddock with side of cooked vegetables; portion is big. It was on the oily side, but it tasted very nice in the home-cooked comfort food way. Service was great too. I hope to come back if we are in the area again. read more

We had Konrad's cater our sons rehearsal dinner. The food was outstanding, we had so many compliments on every dish we ordered! The emails and texts were answered ASAP never more then a few hours. Ordering and communication was easy as we live in Vermont. Highly recommend them and will use again if we ever need catering in the area. Thank you Konrad's for making our wedding weekend easy.. After having eaten at Konrad's on several different occasions, I am giving them a one-star rating due to overall poor food quality and consistency. During our most recent experience, my boyfriend was craving a steak. The server recommended the "Crossroads Steak". He ordered it rare based upon her recommendation. When the steak arrived, it was severely overcooked and the piece of meat was more fat than anything. Not even our dog enjoyed it sadly. Unfortunately, that's not the worst of it - the vegetables were 'mixed" and clearly were frozen - as in just picked up from the local grocery store frozen food aisle. And the mashed potatoes tasted as though they were instant (boxed). I won't begin to review the tortellini "special" I ordered as it was watery and was not homemade - Bertolli is probably better tasting than what was served to me. Unfortunately, this was just the most recent experience with Konrad's poor food quality. I'd like to give them a higher rating due to their Monday night $12.95 dinner specials and the fact that they are in my local neighborhood however, when asked where we want to go to dinner - Konrad's is not the answer as there are several other quality restaurants in the area. read more

After having a bad meal at the Crossroads, as Konrads was formerly known, I heard the kitchen had been taken over by a new chef so I decided to give it another try. I am glad I did. Staff is friendly and service is good. The stuffed filet of flounder was excellent. Portions are large. Hamburger was cooked just right! I'll go back. read more

Well this was a first for me. Have been here twice before and have been very pleased. Not so last night. We had 6:30 reservations and arrived at approximately 6:20. The hostess informed us they were clearing our table and it would be just a minute. It was so very warm inside, we ducked back outside for a breath. Went back in and were seated. The waitress came over to our table and informed us it would be at least 1 1/2 hours before our main course would be served. I informed her we had reservations and she replied, "we've been slammed." She said they had unexpected people and the kitchen was backed up. I was not happy and I was not waiting 1 1/2 hours and at that point It could have been even longer. It is bad business practice to over book and inconvenience all your customers for a few. There is a point where you, as the owner/manager, have to turn away customers as you are at a saturation point. Not so pleased, will think twice before returning. I eat here mainly for breakfast & lunch & the food is always good & the staff is very friendly. The portions are large & I usually leave with a to go box. I go here often as it is only about 2 miles away from my house. Also we often get the pizza to take out which is excellent! We also get sandwichs & chicken fingers to go which are also really good. Had to give this down home country restaurant 5 stars. We went on a Monday night for dinner and ate a 3 course meal for $12.95! Really thought the food was not going to be good or plentiful but boy was I wrong! We had a great starter salad, delicious soup amazing fried chicken and yummy dessert. I had my birthday party at Konrad's last night with 8 people. We drove through some treacherous snow to get there and it was well worth it. Everyone's dinner was excellent. The waiter was very accommodating and attentive. We had a nice private area all to ourselves. I had the grouper dinner which was better than any grouper I had down in Florida. Finally got to try Konrad's after hearing so much good about the restaurant. They did not disappoint. Took my family tonight to celebrate my father's 78th birthday. We all (6 of us) ordered different things from the menu. The food was exceptional. Moist, homemade, and delicious. The staff sang to my father and he felt special. He left there thanking me and saying in a very upbeat tone, I really enjoyed that! Looking forward to being a regular patron. read more

I took my mom out for her birthday in February 2017 and this is the place she picked since a friend of hers said the food was so good. The parking lot was packed and it was dark when we got there (7pm) so I don't really know about the condition of the outside of the place but the inside was a bit tired looking. The service was excellent. The waiter explained everything to us since I told him this was our first time here. VERY friendly waitstaff and they checked on us every few minutes to see if we needed anything else! We went on a Monday night so the only menu was the Monday Night Special Menu. The waiter said the Chicken Paprikash was very good.....it was excellent!!!! The chicken just fell off the bones and the sauce was delicious. It was served over a bed of egg noodles. The portions were large. We asked for French onion soup with the bread slice and melted cheese ($2 extra ea. for the au gratin)...., which was also very delicious. The desserts we chose (strawberry shortcake and coconut pie) were just so-so....like the kind you can get at the grocery store in a box. We will, however, be coming back to try the German cuisine that they have on Thursday nights and also the Sunday brunch (1st Sunday of ea. month). All in all, a great dinner and a wonderful waitstaff! Update: We've been here so many times since February (about 2-3 times/mo.) and have never been disappointed in the food. We've mainly come on Thursday nights. Staff is wonderful and food is excellent (huge portions). The desserts on Thurs. nights are freshly made and the Black Forest Cake is fantastic, so is the apple strudel! Love this place! read more
