AIDS Care Ocean State hosts Drag Bingo the third Thursday of every month. This is absolutely the most fun you can have for $20 just about anywhere. The Drag Queens entertain and keep you laughing from start to finish. Each month has its on unique theme that they decorate the hall with and bingo players are encouraged to dress for the occasion. Doors open at 6:00, Bingo starts at 7:00 and everything is wrapped up by 9:00ish. You can bring in your own food in or buy something from the snack bar, just know that they ask you to clean your own table at the end of the night. The building is large and set up on two levels, with the larger space being on the lower floor. They have mics and speakers plus lighted bingo boards throughout so you can easily hear and see the bingo numbers that are called. So, for this review, the rating really reflects the Drag Bingo experience only. The hall itself was just OK with horrible parking & a boxing gym downstairs that makes the floor shake so bad you feel like you're going to fall through it...no bueno. The Drag Bingo itself, however, is a hoot! They do it the 3rd Thursday of every month (except for July & August, I believe). Here's the down & dirty of it: - Guaranteed seating for your group if you reserve in advance. - Reasonable; only $20 to play (+ $1/card if you want extra "specials") - You can win door prizes, ranging anywhere from tickets to performances to gift bags of adult novelties - Proceeds all go to charity - Hysterical hosts - Bring your own food & drink if you want (no alcohol), or buy food there Don't expect huge payouts though; average prize is $100/game (except the last game or 2) & all games are single bingo except for the last game (which is a full card). Most of the time, there are several winners per game, so if you do win, it likely won't be very much. But, hey, it's fun & the money goes to a great cause! I recently attended drag bingo and it was everything I'd hoped it would be and more. it was a good feeling knowing that my $20.00 admission was going to such a worthy cause. I also enjoyed Learning that each round of bingo was sponsored by local organizations or groups that also supported acos and prideri. The building the game is hosted in is a bit dated and as other Yelpers have mentioned doesn't have AC. The section I was seated in the for games was in the lower level which was incredibly hot. luckily the volunteers running the event got the clearance to open the emergency exits so air could actually circulate in the lower level during the games. The games go relatively quick and the queens disperse observational comedy throughout the night which makes every game even more entertaining. The prices aren't that big but the, but he sure is. You can bring snacks to the facility but they do have a concession stand and restrooms available to all of the patrons. Parking is limited so if you can't arrive early then I'd highly recommend carpooling to the facility or getting an uber/Lyft. Overall I had a positive experience and I'm looking forward to attending another bingo when the next season season starts back up. read more

I attended Drag Bingo. Had it not been for charity, I would've completely regretted going. For now, I only mildly regret it and promise to not go again until I've forgotten how miserable I was while there. Some good points: A whole lot of people fit in this place. It's quite organized with plenty of folks around selling extra cards, etc. It's a convenient location with plenty of parking across the street. You can bring your own snacks and drinks. Bingo is fun! The bad points: There are a TON of people in this place. You have to go super early to find parking, get a spot, or even feel sane. You need to make a reservation if you want any bit of sanity. Came on a Thursday night for drag bingo with a group of people. It was a lot of fun. It didn't cost too much to play, $20 can last you the whole night! We added on a few extra $1 cards here and there. They are very organized and I like that they give you a card explaining each round/game and what color are you playing. It makes it so we don't have to go over 15 minutes of boring rules. There are a ton of people here. I don't think I would like sitting in the basement area at all. Parking was a bit of a nightmare but really not that big a deal and honestly nothing they can do about it. You bring your own snacks and they also have a snack bar which is nice. And the ladies were hilarious! I do wish they did a little more of a show, seems some other nights have skits or events and stuff and I would have liked to see that. I do have to say that I was feeling nauseous from how hot it was with that many people. I wish they had some fans going, they need to consider that for next time since you are sitting so close. Such a fun filled night as usual. The third Thursday of every month is Drag Bingo all in support of Aids Care Ocean State. It is $20 to play and is worth every penny. Between all the cash prizes and fun give-a-ways... how could you not have a good time? The bingo hall itself is worth EVERYTHING. Nothing has been updated since, well god knows when but completely adds to the fun. You can bring your own food, snacks, non-alcoholic beverages or buy it all at the concession stand in the back. I hear the food is pretty good back there! I would advise getting a group together and making a reservation for a table thru ACOS. The drag queens (Haley Star and La Diva Jones) are amazing hosts and you can always count on them for a good laugh. 5 stars all around... All for a great cause. Wow what a fun filled evening at bingo! And it's unique in being a drag bingo! So let me start by saying the cost is only 20.00 for hours of non stop entertainment by the drags, but you also meet the great business that support there foundation of aids support and a needle exchange program! So when you purchase your books you support the community! I haven't had more fun night like this in a long time, the jokes, Haleys ( one of the drags) was just hot on her heels with funny remarks! I actually came home with stomach pain from laughing so hard! I may very well might have had a bingo tonight, but I was to busy wiping the tears of laughter! This is a real good night of fun! I attended Drag Bingo here tonight and it was hands down the one best nights ever! It was a full house, full of people and full of laughs. It's also for a great cause! The establishment itself is a bit out dated but I honestly didn't even notice because the atmosphere of the event was so amazing, which is why I'm not knocking off a star. I come here on the 3rd Thursday of the month for Gay Bingo hosted by infamous drag queens Kitty Litter & Haley Star! It's a shabby, classic bingo hall with very friendly staff. The kitchen staff is always very polite and generous. Seating is always crowded, but what can you expect from a grand entertainment event such as Gay Bingo!! Parking is the same.. insane. So ever since my childhood vacation to Vermont where the lady with the southern accent called bingo numbers I have wanted to try add let bingo. I went to Riviera with a friend on a Monday night. We were completely unprepared with varying games and multiple cards. Needless to say after some laughs and much assistance of the veteran bingo players at our table we caught on. It was so much fun that I would go back but the crowd was definitely older. The facility itself was a bit outdated and the bathrooms were absolutely pitiful but the bingo was so much fun! I came for drag queen bingo! We had a reservation for 10 people. My only complaint about the whole night was that we were seated in a very distant lower corner of the building. You would think the people you consider "VIP" would be placed closer to the stage and all the action. The drag queens were so sweet and they looked flawless. A ton of people from my table won which was exciting. It wasn't a ton of money when they won but it's still fun! I will definitely go back. The theme nights are so fun. Wowsers ! I've seen the commercials but never quite knew how huge this event is. It's actually a fundraiser to benefit the aids project so you can have a great night and feel like your doing some good. It starts at seven but I was told by some regulars to make sure I get there at six as the snack bar line gets big. You can bring in snacks and dinner food but no alcohol. ( though my water bottle had something that looks like vodka tonic in it ) You should make a reservation because this place fills up fast. There were a lot of people there and what an eclectic mix there was. It was fun just to people watch. ! For twenty bucks you get a bingo card for a bunch of games and for one dollar per card you can buy extras to play with for more chances. The pots I believe were $100.00 and have to be split between all who get a bingo. There's one game that's worth $4000 or more also. The drag queen kitty litter is the host of the evening and she is awesome. Really made the night. I enjoyed my evening with my friends and will be at the next one for sure. Oh My God, What a great night I had at this bingo hall last Monday night. The best thing is that I won $500.00 and had a good time. I was happy to go to the bingo because it benefits the Edgewood Eagles Youth Football and Cheerleads. I had the pleasure of visiting this venerable venue for AIDS Care Ocean State's gay bingo event and wasn't it something. Illuminated with fluorescent light and a nonworking 8 inch TV, the large, cavernous hall is a throwback to simpler times, when Bingo was a huge social event. There are probably hundreds of seats along tons of wood topped tables where you can partake in the games. The acoustics are surprisingly good for such an old venue so you can hear the numbers being called out. Their concessions stand isn't bad either. It could also double up as a gathering space for other events. All in the heart of Cranston. Worth a visit for the throwback experience. read more

If you're looking for a fun night out, this is IT! I had heard great things about Drag Bingo, but all the kudos didn't even come close to the actual experience. It's an old school bingo hall that seats a couple hundred and it was close to full the night I went. Call ahead and make reservations. We were a party of 6 and had our own table downstairs. The queens are hilarious! 14 games plus door prizes, lasts about 2.5-3 hours. Best $20 bucks I've spent in some time! However, the speakers could use an upgrade because I missed a few of the jokes. :( read more
