Browsed the vendors outside which had a variety of food, items, clothing, etc. Had lunch from the trucks. Got a bowl from the Mediterranean place which was not good, compared it to chipotle-style (but in my opinion, chipotle is actually yummier) Also got a falafel wrap which was okay, nothing to write home about. Would probably opt to eat elsewhere or opt for different stalls. The empanadas stall looked more delicious (and more popular)

It was a super cool market with a decent amount of vendors, live music, and a convenient location. I was a little unimpressed by the prices and variety of vendors, a lot of shops felt like they offered the same thing. Still, there were some great knick-knacks and finds! My favorite vendor was Amisha, I got this super gorg kaftan. Bathrooms were a bit difficult to find, so know they are inside the art building. Don't wait too long to go find them because the lines were super long! I could see this being an ok spot to take kids and pets, however, the limited shade might get to them quickly. If too hot, walking 2 mins over to check out the vintage market is the move! Might need to swing back here to try out the food trucks and pick up this vase I didn't follow through on.

The old version of the mall was good as it grew with time growing up with it. The store just got better and replaced with no better stores and more high-end stores. There's a really big food court and a POP MART, which I love and a part of the mall where they have regular retail stores stuff and not just high-end stores.

Natick Mall has really changed since when I was a child. It still at heart is a mall, but now it…read morehas lots to offer. I think the most prevalent thing I've noticed is how there are a lot of entertainment options now. Dave and Busters was the first to open, followed by Level 99. Now there's also a Puttshack and a Bosee Pickleball club. I think this adds a layer because it turns into "just a mall" to a social gathering spot where you could shop, eat, or have fun. There's something for all ages with this. Now when it comes to the shopping, there's still your average clothing stores, there's beauty and jewelry stores like Sephora and Pandora, and also a Macys if you want a department store. There's also a wing with more high-level luxury stores, like a Zara, Louis Vitton, Tiffany, and David Yurman. I think this area is nice if you want luxury but not to travel into Boston. There's a lot of empty stores in this wing too so hopefully they get filled soon. Food options are good too, they have a food court, Cheesecake Factory, P.f. chang's., California Kitchen pizza, and the food inside of the entertainment places too. Overall this mall has been renovated a lot, and I think for the better. It encompasses a lot and you don't have to come here just to shop, but you can if you'd like. I will say though they have plenty of parking which includes free garages, people are still unkind around the holidays and you might be circling around for a while before you find a spot. Parking is always hard here no matter what and I know people who avoid this mall because of it, which is sad but I get it. I heard if you come on a weekday morning it's better.

In reality there was no workshopping, no time to write, and no possibility of exploring New Orleans because the organizers stuck us out in an uncomfortable house in an ugly suburb devastated by Katrina. The teaching was good. I'll give the "retreat" one star for that. But participants traveled from the far corners of the earth to advance our manuscripts in a "uniquely inspiring international city" and we left wondering what NOLA actually looked like. "Retreat" by definition means time away from everyday life to nurture your writing in a beautiful setting with good food when you need to eat. The Cambridge Writers' Workshop NOLA Retreat was none of those things. Writers, beware!

Five stars is not enough. I went on the Granada writing retreat (Aug 2-6, 2017). It was kind of a…read moreleap of faith because I knew almost nothing about this organization. This trip exceeded all possible expectations and was one of the most rewarding and memorable experiences of my life. Andalusia is the kind of place that sets your spirit aflame, and having a backdrop like that for this retreat was amazing. The quality of the instructors and the instruction was stellar. All were accomplished, gifted writers who were genuinely interested in helping us to develop as writers and to hone our craft. The faculty clearly put an enormous amount of effort into the classes. They were so stimulating and enjoyable that no one wanted them to end. Every single class gave me practical and valuable tools that I will use in structuring, writing, revising, and submitting future work. And SO many fantastic resources for future study. My writing was nurtured, which is the reason I went, but the greatest and most unexpected gift was how nurtured the writer in me felt. And it's all because of the incredible container and atmosphere that the directors, Diana and Rita, created. From the first night, there was a sense of community that felt so authentic - a real family feeling. When we were not reading and writing, our wonderful hosts took us to see a flamenco show in a Romani cave, to watch street musicians along the River Darro, a on a tapas tour. It was all a huge feast for the senses and imagination. I feel full to overflowing as a result of this experience. Going on this retreat was one of the best decisions I've ever made, as a writer and for my own personal development. I will definitely attend another retreat with CWW in the future. Phenomenal program and organization!

The powers that be have absolutely ruined this event. The vendor booths used to be laid out in an…read moreeasily walkable grid, and for many years, we truly enjoyed walking through it. Now, however (and beginning in 2021), the vendors who actually still sell at this event (and there were fewer this year and last) are spread out in a new and highly illogical street pattern which forces visitors to walk great distances in order to see what vendors are there. Last year, when we took the hike up to where some of the vendors were now hiding, we were "rewarded" with seeing what we felt with were sub-par vendors compared to what we saw in all years past under the "old" layout. It was surprising and strange. We went back yesterday for the 2022 event, and sadly, the new set-up remains in place. (We were hoping that the 2021 event was some sort of covid-related anomaly). On top of all this, while walking around the event yesterday, we were told by a vendor (who had been moved to an odd spot against her wishes) that there were other vendors severable blocks up the road in another direction, which surprised us because visitors would have no idea they were there - there was no signage to tell you that. So vendors are now just all over the place, requiring you to spend a lot of shoe leather just to find them. Lastly, some of the best vendors were not there last year or this, and I wouldn't be surprised if it is due to the crazy new set up. In a nutshell, this was our last visit to this event, and we are sad about that.
