We received wonderful repair service on an emergency basis at Eldon's, on 5/30/19. The alternator…read morewent out in our pickup truck on the interstate near Butler, while traveling, towing our camper trailer. We got off at the nearest exit, and I found Eldon's as the closest repair place thru Apple Maps. The truck motor died as we pulled up to his shop. Not a fancy-looking building, but Eldon came out, dropped what he was doing, checked it out, confirmed the problem, and fixed it right on the spot. We were back on the road in about half an hour. Very nice man, very fair price. Highly recommend.

The Mexican guy behind the counter looked at me in disgust I don't kno if he has a thing against black people but he told me I could use the other computer as if I was too close to him. I was very offended but didn't let that ruin my experience. I wasn't able to find the part I needed but when I was leaving I asked this same Mexican guy how much was a radio?? He told me $20... this weekend they have a 50% off sale. I said even with the 50% my price would be $20?? He proceeded to tell me YES! With an attitude as if he didn't want to be bothered. But what he didn't know Is that I had the price list already pulled up. The website states that a radio with cd is $25.29!!!! So with the 50% discount that would have amounted to $12.65!! He didn't want give me the correct price and I feel like I was discriminated against because of who I was! I will definitely not be returning here for any reason!!! First and last time!! Waited my whole life to see on of the iconic speed shops from the start of hotrods…read more Made me a new man, live in KC so was shocked to find out Pete and Jakes was so close in Peculiar Mo. One stop frame shop for early Fords. They are repairing and modifying my 37 Ford PU and I'm amazed at what they can do with the mess I brought them. They have all the parts in stock so things are moving along at a fast pace. I went in today to view the progress, in and out of the shop in a week. Picking it up soon to go for paint.
