We have lived in LeClaire our entire lives and it's extremely unfortunate that one of our few gift shops is owned and operated by such an abrasive, rude individual. Spend your money at Aunt Hattie's and one of the many other friendly gift shops.

I was really impressed by the range and quality of merchandise, and along with that the price range. One expects to pay a premium for fair trade, hand-made, and artisan products. SIS isn't exactly an exception - things aren't cheap here - but the prices are very reasonable and you get good value for your money, especially considering that your purchases support decent standards of living for the people who make the merchandise. I bought some candles and soaps for a birthday present, but it was hard to choose. There were a lot of kitchen items that were tempting, figurines and knick-knacks that were actually really cool, a lot of fabric items, and even a few musical instruments.
