I have used RK Home Improvement for several jobs. Hardwood flooring, tiled kitchen counters including a new roof. They can handle it all.

He communicated with us throughout the project of installing a new Timberteck deck. His crew worked straight on through from start to finish without empty lapses of time. The men are so highly skilled. We continue to be happy with our beautiful deck. Therefore, we asked Ruy to install a Timberteck stair rail at our front doors, which also has withstood the test of time. We'd been concerned that installments like this would compromise the brick, whereby requiring a total rebuild, but a rebuild wasn't necessary. He also advise us on an easy and effective fix to divert water from flowing from the gutter and freezing to ice on those brick steps in winter. Based on the outcome of these projects, and our experience in their progression, we highly recommend this company.

They were supposed to build a new rubber roof. It started leaking on 3 separate occasions (which btw was never fully fixed -- we moved on to different contractors who did address the issues). And like I said, it would take months for them to actually come back and attempt to fix anything. Often they'd come by, look at the damage, then I wouldn't hear from them for multiple weeks. Meanwhile, more damage continues to accrue to the walls and ceilings. The internal fixes they applied for the water damage were just patch jobs. They just plastered and painted over. Meanwhile, the insulation behind the wall was soaked and accrued black mold that we had to address later. Also worth pointing out a major blunder at the beginning of the project (see attached videos and pics). They opened up the roof, and left it open for multiple days without doing any work. Well of course a major rainstorm came by (which was on the weather forecast well in advance). Alll that water poured into the house in the middle of the night setting off fire alarms. It was a nightmare to deal with on my end.

I had a very disappointing experience with North Shore Exterior Experts while trying to obtain an…read moreestimate for a siding project. I scheduled an appointment with their sales representative, Brian Kelly, and set aside time to meet with him at my home. One of the first things he wanted to discuss was replacing my roof, even though I had contacted the company specifically about siding. When I explained that I wanted to focus on the siding project, his demeanor noticeably changed. He became very quiet, and the remainder of the appointment felt uncomfortable. Brian told me I would receive the siding estimate by Friday. Friday came and I received nothing. I followed up by text and received no response. After spending additional time following up with the company, I was finally told they would not be providing an estimate at all because they cannot fit the project into their schedule this year. During that conversation, I was also told that I apparently wanted the siding done "yesterday." I found that comment unnecessarily rude and dismissive. I never asked for the project to be completed immediately. I simply expected the estimate I was told I would receive. I completely understand a contractor being booked for the season. What I don't understand is why the company accepted the appointment, sent a representative to my home, spent time discussing the project, promised an estimate by Friday, and then had me spend the following week trying to obtain it--only to ultimately tell me they had no intention of quoting the project because they couldn't schedule it this year. If the company did not have capacity for additional siding projects this year, that should have been communicated before scheduling the appointment. A simple conversation about availability would have saved everyone's time. Between the uncomfortable sales appointment, the attempt to shift the conversation toward a roof replacement, the lack of follow-through, the unanswered message, the dismissive comment when I followed up, and ultimately refusing to provide the promised estimate, the entire experience was unpleasant and unprofessional. Based on my experience, I would not recommend North Shore Exterior Experts.

After starting the job Russell Morris changed the terms that we agreed to. Russell Morris INCORRECTLY installed a shower insert without leveling and replacing the rotting wood. (see pics) After Russell Morris incorrectly installed the shower insert over the rotting wood, and put up some sheetrock, Russel Morris told me that "He is done with the bathroom renovation and wanted payment in full." I have attached pictures of what a Russell Morris (Morris Home Services) considered a complete bathroom. I now have incurred damages as a result of Russell Morris and must now pay another contractor to undo and fix Russell Morris's mistakes. Russell Morris: He showed up a day late, Within 10-minutes of arriving, he yelled out, "Mother Fucker!!" at the top of his lungs. Very unprofessional, Short-tempered, Did not do what we agreed to, Did NOT complete what he agreed to, Changed the prices that we had already agreed to, Charged me 10 extra hours at $85 an hour, Did NOT complete the job, yet asked for full payment, Horrible communication, you'll have no idea when he's coming or going, or coming back, "I" had to vacuum EVERY DAY when he left for the day, Russel Morris made an absolute mess, I have incurred damages by Russell Morris (Morris Home Services) - I now must pay to another contractor to "fix" the mistakes and poor work of Russell Morris. He was mad that "he" did not plan properly and HUNG the phone up on me. I had to FIRE Russell Morris. I wish I had GOOGLE Searched: RUSSELL MORRIS Gloucester, MA aged 49 before I hired him. The pictures attached show the state in which Russell Morris (Morris Home Services) left my bathroom; incomplete. As you can clearly see, Russell Morris did NOT complete the job.
