I chose Tim & SFBAY-RE from a list of others because he's a licensed certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser in the state of CA and has over 15 years of appraisal experience throughout the Bay Area, with a particular focus in San Francisco. He provided the appraisal in plenty of time to support the Sept '24 submission deadline. Two days before I was set to appear before the Appeals Board in May '25 the SF Assessor's Office contacted me and agreed with the assessed market value that Tim established in his appraisal. Based on the current FMV that Tim provided I will be receiving a substantial credit for tax year '24 and the new property tax will result in a considerable savings going forward. Tim was easy to work with and very responsive to my questions throughout the entire process. I was particularly thankful for the guidance he provided in preparing for the Appeals Board meeting. Every item listed for sale can be viewed in the print or online catalog, or examined during the preview hours at the warehouse. Usually a day or two before auction day. The department specialists are on hand to answer questions about value, condition and provenence. This is an easy, more cost effective way of buying what you truly desire, without going to the mall, craigslist or the antique store.

They sent me an invoice for the bowl, shipping and their description "all risk, door to door" insurance for the bowl. I paid it in full, It arrived in January 2024- in 20-30 broken pieces. I figured no problem- named company and their shipper and insuror. Boy was I wrong- their position- zero responsibility. We'll keep your approximately $5000 and you can keep the shards- and their guarantees and insurance don't apply. Why did they sell, and I take insurance ? They seem to prefer send the items off in commerce and if they happen to get there OK then fine, but if they don't they will just keep saying NO. Unless you can pick up locally in LA, NYC or London- don't do business with these scammers!!
