Needed retrospect appraisal - Tim was responsive and had submitted what I needed less than a week. Thank you!

Hired Tim in the summer of '24 to conduct an appraisal in support of an appeal of my SF property taxes. I chose Tim & SFBAY-RE from a list of others because he's a licensed certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser in the state of CA and has over 15 years of appraisal experience throughout the Bay Area, with a particular focus in San Francisco. He provided the appraisal in plenty of time to support the Sept '24 submission deadline. Two days before I was set to appear before the Appeals Board in May '25 the SF Assessor's Office contacted me and agreed with the assessed market value that Tim established in his appraisal. Based on the current FMV that Tim provided I will be receiving a substantial credit for tax year '24 and the new property tax will result in a considerable savings going forward. Tim was easy to work with and very responsive to my questions throughout the entire process. I was particularly thankful for the guidance he provided in preparing for the Appeals Board meeting. I needed to find an appraiser to establish a market valuation of a property on the date of death. After researching various bay area real estate appraisers, I decided to send an inquiry to Tim through Yelp. It was late at night and to my surprise he responded right away while he was on vacation no less. I figured it would take a while for him to get up to speed after his return from vacation but he got in touch within a couple of days and worked out a time to meet. Tim knows the city and knows how to get around. He arrived on his motorcycle :) He's punctual, very professional and obviously loves what he does. It shows in the end result--we couldn't be happier! From what I understand, institutions like banks use his services a lot. More individuals need to know about SFBAY-RE! Tim's appraisals are informative, helpful and incredibly cost effective. I was surprised that the cost of an appraisal wasn't greater in San Francisco--most things cost more here. Valuations and appraisals are useful for many things.
